The oil workers who know their industry and where all that extra oil WAS, before everything went up in smoke, are most likely dead. So are the others you mentioned.
Watching again 3 years later ❤❤❤❤❤
Jim really pissed me off.
Good job with the with the film I'd watch 2 hours of it
Nice to see everyone pulling together and rebuilding society.
Dude this is a live action Rust adaptation... those people didn't die they rage quit a really toxic server.
this is what makes a good film. Get the audience feeling a way towards the boy and his ignorance and have him learn...the hard way.
This looks like a real-life version of the game DayZ. Excellent short film!
Awesome game
Lesson 1: Learn how to hold a pistol.
Wow excellent work I was glued to the screen.. a full feature would be epic!!! 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
I havent even finished watching this yet, but my heart fucking dropped when he got shot..I felt that shit in my soul..
Great film. Terrible world to live in. You can't ever got back to the comfort you once had. No where is safe and no one can be trusted.
A few people claiming the kid got his brother killed. Not true. The brother was already sitting in front of the windows when he was looking at the fishing line, and before little bro walked in. He could have stayed out of sight.
A serious effort of filmmaking. Absolutely incredible and believable this film pulled me in completely. 20 minutes ago, I thought I knew what GRIM was. Now I know. Congratulations to all involved!
Very dramatic. Great story and character development. Bravo!
Best short film on the subject. Probably the most accurate look of what life would be like.
That was pretty good I hope there's a part two.
OMG I was not prepared for this. What a movie
This reminds me of my times playing dayz just chilling with a guy taking them out of nowhere he gets domed it’s heartbreaking but realistic and props to the filmmaker for taking those risks
Hunter Jenkins that’s what I was thinking about the whole time XD. At least the cannibals didn’t get em
BEST MOVIE !!!! EXCELLENT !!!!!!!!! GREAT GREAT WORK
Very strong message. Well done! 👍
Better than Hollywood.
Our past and our future all in one short story.
Very good! Suspense, compassion, heartbreak, and the will to survive.... Well done.
Wow! That was one of the better post-apocalyptic shorts out there. Very Good Work!!!!!!
Watching this in the Coronavirus outbreak
Best short I've seen on youtube, by far!
Man this had all the makings of a really good apocalypse movie.
Best film by this name out there including the one with Arnie
This was excellent. The storyline was well done, the video work great, and the sound perfect for the inspiring mood of dread mixed with emotions. I would have watched more if there had been more, but I feel the story ended perfectly. However short this seemed on screen, I know the time to make it took much longer due to the quality. Thank you and the others for all your time and effort on this production.
Well done! Great cinematography. The kid is directly responsible for his brother's death. He won't last much longer in that world.
Survival is BRUTAL. Trust no one NOT known to you. When in doubt, shoot to kill.
And why is this guy constantly charging his weaponry? An empty chamber can and WILL get you killed.
And then there were none. By your thinking.
Mark Pope they do that in movies for effect
Perhaps cleaning his guns or naw
Condensed a whole badass movie into 20 minutes. Great fucking job, loved every minute
This may be the future of this country the way things are going!
Why do you think I'm here lol
That’s the truth though 😒 the longer you survive the lonelier you’ll become 😕
What i like most about this movie is the realistic clothing. Multiple, heavy layers. Most of these movies have characters wearing flimsy, fashionable clothing that wouldn’t keep them warm in late Spring or early Fall in even a temperate climate….let alone in winter.
Forget that old bolt action rifle, he should have gotten an AR15 from Palmetto State Armory, at their prices there's no reason not to have one
Voo Doo1 🤣
How about the fact that they quit selling 80% lowers? They aren't for us bub.
@@jonross377 not sure why they stopped selling 80% lowers, but I do know they have the lowest prices for AR's
Though bolt action has longer range
@@frankmontez6853 5.56 has a maximum effective range of 200/250 meters, which is more than adequate, plus is auto loading and holds 29 more rounds than a bolt action. In a SHTF scenario you can have your single shot, I WILL ALWAYS HAVE MY AR15'S...5.56 AND 300 BLKOUT. Good day Sir
That was actually really good. Y'all should do more. No extras required. Kept my attention, realistic, and properly dark.
As a parent, I found this to be a great teaching tool. Thanks
Fantastic movie. Really dark and a bit raw to watch his transformation.
This had me on the edge of my seat, really well done.
The entry at the beginning would have put the shooters in a crossfire situation and with that auto rifle, there's a chance no one survived that encounter. The shooters included.
I agree. Realistically they would probably only do that once. Somebody learning the hard way that's how you end up with a gaping leg wound from "friendly fire".
🤔 I was wondering roughly how many times they would get away with door entries before they were reverse ambushed through the door. 🤷♂️ A better short film than I could pull off though.
Depends on how well they were trained. Any SOF could pull that off, though they wouldn't have set up a breach that way in the first place.
@@ericj6636 Possible?....Sure. I agree as I've seen up close anti-terrorism exercise sweep the inside of an old plane. Impressive and better than I can do. It apparently takes serious dedication to training to pull off that kind of control though. (🙋♂️ I was the immobile guy for the exercise ... you know ...to drag out to safety... It's better to use a live dummy than a stuffed one. 😆)
But probable? .... I doubt it. We've all seen "that guy" at the range. SHTF were to happen IRL firearms will account for tons of "Darwin Awards"
Already precedents for it historically. As while sickness took a bunch the number of people killed by accidental discharges on the wagon trail west (1800s U.S.A.) was really high too.
It's all hypothetical though. 🤷♂️
@@black_jackledemon6298 Yeah. And here's the thing no matter how good you are in that kind of scenario your teammates have to be that good to or you're f*cked.
If you're skilled and they're not they're safer than you are.
I'd rather breach a cabin solo than with 2 untrained dudes. I also wouldn't breach a cabin and do CQC during SHTF unless it was absolutely unavoidable.
And definitely wouldn't do it with folks using full auto...
@@ericj6636 I agree. It's hypothetical...closest to reality so far is probably hurricane "Katrina". (Excluding Africa... human intestine check point "ropes" That's just average daily life there.)
Personally I would just avoid people and try to be invisible.
If I lived long enough to reach the point of equilibrium. Decide by observation if whoever is left is worth getting to know personally.
We are a social species but being a sociable introvert does have it's survival advantages.
Not that it would help me much. I'm in excellent shape for my age but at almost 50 now. That's *really* old for Dark Ages+ modern weaponry.
The problem with this (and other apocalyptic movies) is that they are always somewhere in the woods, in the wintertime, with what appears to be an unlimited supply of ammo.
That was a very powerful film, and puts everything into prospective...Thank You
0:29 Every person who has shot an AK47 sees this mistake and cringes. Good movie though. Very well done.
that was an awsome short film. Loved it.
Thank you for your great short film. Very nicely done .
This is an outstanding piece of work. Mind. Blown.
Awesome movie,very unpredictable,loved it!
2 is 1 and 1 is none... well done.
Great short. Shocking and true. I enjoyed watching it.
Excellent! Best 19 minutes I've spent in a long time.
For someone who wouldn’t take that gun he was sure fast shooting that man
Wow. That's depressing. Very well done. This could be the lead-in to a series.
it broke my heart in a whole new way
Fantastic!!! Really well done!
Why would you have to rack the pistol slide in an SHTF situation... wouldn’t it already be loaded 🤷🏼♂️
very good point! I didn't notice that. just assumed he had one in the chamber.
More likely empty.
Very well done......add an hour to it, and some more good action, and it's a full length feature film I'd continue to watch.
Amazing film professionally put together, I was really sad it ended
Security always come first! Comforts can kiss my butt!
Wow that was amazing! Wish there was more.
My number one motto...."Trust No One"!!! This was great!
Me and Jed, we're all used up . . .
Lol...just seen that movie the other day. Classic!
WOLVERINE'SSSSSSS
Phenomenal.
Would have been cool for the younger brother to track and hunt the gang.
onion...that might be part 2
@@mikha007 I hope so...or something else besides nothing. These shorts are great, but it would be awesome to see some closure or follow-up on some of them.
Easily one of the best movies I have seen and "acting" is even good! Odds are good this scenario will happen often>>
3:42 he’s cocking a bolt action rifle 😂. Cracked me up.
Like, why wasn't a round already chambered?
Bruh his pistol sounds like a pump action shotgun at 10:00
Excellent. Sad.
Straight to the point!!!
You would think people would get smart and band together in a situation like this instead of shooting at one another, but fear and desperation lead to dark things.
