Might be a stupid question but when batch cooking, how do you ensure exactly how many grams of each ingredient you have once you are separating it all into 4 meals?
Tbh it doesn't really matter. As long as the avg is the same. I'll make 4 meals from 1kg chicken breast and there might be a 200g chicken there or 300g but it's fine. If you had an avg of 2k cal a day for a week and one day was 1.5k and another was 2.5k at the end of the week you'd still loose the same amount of weight. It's all just thermodynamics
I like the more protein rich foods earlier in the day with less carbs and fats earlier in the day so later on near the evening I have more fats and carbs to play with in case I go out to eat with someone instead of eating my meal prep. Eat foods you like, it's more sustainable. I wouldn't do more that 500 cal deficit for long term as you don't want to lose too much muscle. If you don't hit it right in one day, it doesn't ruin your diet, don't relapse and go crazy on a binge. Embrace the hunger. Carbonated water and coffee help suppress hunger. So does a 100% dark chocolate square in the morning
Make sure you're starting from a good base of calories, you may want to slowly increase calories for a few weeks to give you a bigger pool to take from. If you start low, you'll be eating next to no food by the end of it. Take it from someone who spent a lot of time getting my maintainance calories to around 3,750 and diet on 3,200-3,400 to get to single digit BF
