Yooo bros! Cost is calculated proportionally (i.e. if I used half a bag of rice, I used half the cost of the entire bag) and the amounts & macros/calories are on-screen. Enjoy xxx **was also joking about not washing the knife but since you're cooking the carrot anyway I don't think you would actually die**
For the first recipe do you really need to heat the peas and sweetcorn if you’re heating everything up at a later date? Couldn’t you just add them after the cooked chicken and rice as you’re portioning them up to freeze?
Nice video . Guna try this . But can you do a video how to weigh everything separately after cooking in bulk so I know how much protein carbs etc per meal
As someone who 1. can't cook at all 2. trying to gym like a MF 3. currently in the UK and doing my shopping at Tesco 4. sitting here eating my meal deal sandwich for supper Just want to thank you for making this video especially for me. Appreciate you.
😂😂 I headed straight to the comments looking for this. Just in case anyone is unsure, he's JOKING!! WASH THE RAW CHICKEN OFF THE KNIFE before chopping your carrots! 😊
@@lmack6596 NO!!! 😂 I did similar rolling some raw diced chicken in a spice mix and chopped broccoli after, luckily it all went in the oven but I was chomping on left over broccoli & realised and spat it out. I survived, but I’ve got half of the side of my jaw missing, I blame that on the broccoli being to crunchy that dislocated it 😉
Been a lurker for years and you never fail to make me laugh at some point in your videos and this specimen it was "minor increase in difficulty but still acheivable for anyone with thumbs". Brilliant mate. Also, great prep grub.
Great video! For the fried rice I suggest using day old rice and frying the chicken in batches to cook quicker, to get more colour on, and so you don’t lose heat in the pan. Also fry it all together in a couple batches and let the rice fry for a bit before adding the soy sauce because then you’re actually frying it. When you add the soy sauce, pour it down the edge of the pan and not over the rice as it will release its aromas and flavours. No complaints, just useful info to level up your scran
No needless talking, straight to the point - a lot of content in under 10 minutes, and pleasing for the eyes/ears. Like! This video makes me think I can also cook something just a bit more complicated than just pasta and baked chicken, cheap and not complicated.
Really like the video, man! All your videos about bulking / high protein on a budget are absolutely great. Keep doing the great job you've been doing. I discovered your channel a couple of years ago and you've helped me improve everything diet/training related and beyond. Thanks Joe!!! You are my hero 😊👍
Big pot for rice , rinse rice . Fill to halfway , 3” above rice min . Boil for 10 mins and check , just at that point with bit of bite drain . Put lid on and set back on stove with heat off . It will be perfect. Puffy white perfection every time.
Hi Joe, my son has asked me to make these recipes for him, so I'll come back & comment when I have made & he has tried them... They look great though... Mum from Australia 🇦🇺
Mate can never get tired of some Joey D meal prep. You helped me out massively at the start of my journey. Your chill demeanour paired with an awesome physique was one of my inspirations (and still is dw ;) so much so that I mentioned you at the start of one of my recent videos (3 stages of losing weight) Thank you Joey for putting in all the hard work for us and being a source of inspiration when things get tough! Keep it up, you’re changing a lot of people’s lives 🙌🏽
Great video. I found a lot of people on youtube about 2 years and went from 260 to 180 lbs, you were on of those people, thank you for all that you do. Since then, I gained the weight back (but back down to 239, eating 1600 cals a day) I want to get to the point where I dont stress about the calories and weighing my food.
I used to be in pretty good shape and then lofe got in the way/i fell off the right path for a healthy life, im doijg my best now to get back into a healthy lifestyle and naturally a calorie deficit with food that is still enjoyable but healthy is a big thing. This video has been huge for me over the last week, im meal prepping like hell with these three items and will be looking throigh the channel a lot more for other things i can put together at home, back to the gym tomorrow after work is the aim, thank you Joe, please keep up this sort of content
Tried out the chicken fajita recipe and it was a hit. I also threw in some avocado and sour cream (perhaps best to add those on the day of, rather than in advance). Great video!
FYI You can use old rice for Fried Rice, and is arguably better than freshly cooked. Helps if you eat rice with other stuff often and fridge extra. Will def give the last a try, as I usually just go with premade boxed burrito recipes, and have our own fried rice recipe with chinese saussage albeit with lower protein but eat with chicken or other protein on the side.
Get to Aldi, 69p or 89p can’t remember. 250g chickpea fusilli, lentil fusilli or green pea penne. 14gram of protein per 100g instead of rice. 89p fat free strawberry yoghurt pouch 25g protein. Aldis protein bar also £1:50 for 24g protein. Man those tortillas look awesome!!!!!
these recipes do look awesome and i will try them out on my weight loss jouney becase at the moment i only have 2 meal prep foods that i make and i want to mix it up a bit more they look tasty
Tip for the pasta dish. It's easier if you mix the cream and the tomatoes in a bowl, then add it into the pan. It will already be mixed nicely, sometimes its a pain to do this in a pan.
Just a heads up, the big rode mic is for picking up the ambient noise in the room for you to noise gate out and is usually worn out of the way like on a belt, it should have come with a lav mic that plugs in to it thats your actual mic.
Top meal prep! Cajun chicken and rice is usually one of my go-to meals, so can't to take your rigatoni dish for a spin 😋💪. Burrito folding masterclass!😎
For the pasta I do something similar (kinda a bastardized version of this and something Aussie Fitness does), but I'll also throw in a table spoon of corn starch (sometimes more as needed) in a pasta water slurry to slightly thicken up the sauce!
not for the algo or nothing but. - can you make more meal videos bro? It's always nice for people to be able to freshen up their goals with new ideas and get excited about food again man
i'd like to point out, its very possible to use recently cooked rice for fried rice. You need to do it real fast after the rice cooker pops. Kenji-Lopez did this in one his videos and i did it as well. It has to be real fresh out of the rice cooker. And ofcourse high heat, stir fry.
I am 70 k since 20 years old. I tried to get havier but never could, but i have a fealing i could loose 5 kg if i wontes it. I drink and smoke. Its exacly what you said. The food is very important and you add a litle exercise. I do jiujitsu, as you said do the fun sport colect the side effects. Maybe a bit of genetics as a roll too, but not as much as ppl think. My sister is fat for example. But she wasent wen she was leaving with and eating with me my father and mother. I stayed with the same "diet" she didnt.

First thing I thought but then if it’s getting fried it would cook the chicken from the knife that’s sliced the carrot although I wouldn’t risk it
