- Dongchimi means Winter Kimchi, but that doesn't mean you can only have it in winter. Traditionally, we would make Dongchimi right before it gets cold out. Another name for Dongchimi is Radish Water Kimchi.
This Radish Water Kimchi recipe is by Mama Cho, but we simplified the recipe so it is easier to follow along, and everyone can make it at home!
Also, a lot of you always ask about new sugar. New sugar is basically an artificial sugar that is very sugary. You don't have to put it in if you don't want to use new sugar.
