I have a chain drive motor in my 3 a not sure what it came out of looks like a star stamped in it!! Thinking maybe a welder or perhaps a generator but she seems to do just fine!!

You should try to find that jeep manual as a digital copy. Just so you always have one you can look at on a phone or something.

Where did you get the valve spring compressor, looks perfect for these engine's. I have that manual, and two for the m38a1, i really like looking through it, something about it being paper, and my jeep being that old. G-d bless.
It’s an ancient k-d tools Flathead valve compressor. You can find them used.
