- Infusion was relocated from Pleasureland Southport, Blackpool Pleasure Beach's sister park where it was known as Traumatizer. When Pleasureland closed in 2005, the ride was dismantled and moved to its current location where it has operated since. The original ride featured a red track with teal supports, however the track has since been repainted Persian Blue and the supports Midnight Blue . The ride has operated (both in its original and new form) since 1998 and cost a total of £8 million to construct.The ride starts with a 109' lift hill, before arching into a steep curved incline. The train rises up into a "sea serpant roll" or "butterfly inversion" - two half loops connected by a corkscrew element, before pulling upwards into a banked and curved apex. From here the train drops sharply into an Immelman inversion (a loop that transitions into a corkscrew). A helix follows before the train straightens itself and pulls into a double inline twist. from here the train rolls into a 90 degree turn before pulling downwards and ascending into the brakes. The train then returns to the station. Riders must be between 132 cm and 200 cm tall to ride Infusion.
the rides amazing when you’re on, it’s when you get off it gives you a headache
I love SLC's but I hated how rough this one was. I was nine when I rode it and smashed my head against the restraints multiple times. They don't call it a VeKOMA for nothing. X'D
Same build is located in Germany Heidepark and it's the same :D

I remember all the head smashing when I was short. Seems the height requirement needs raised on this.
Now then,
When I got to the top of that rollercoaster, (Infusion) I looked down, which I regret and my legs were dangling in mid air, saw a word going AHHHHHH! on top of Infusion, looked at the drop that was going to happen and my words were:
"F**king sh*t"

Went on this yesterday and if anyone's wondering yes it is kinda violent. I have a small scratch on my right shoulder and it literally turns your head into a pinball but afterwards I had no neck pain and it is definitely worth it! Nobody I know wishes they hadn't been on it there's no way you could regret it.
I hurt my back and I couldn't move at all. I also hit my nose the second time I went on it.

When I went on infusion for the first time with my friend we kept our eyes shut for most of the ride and the second time we went in it we said we were gonna keep them open Yeah that didn’t happen 😂. It was at 0:52 when we realised HELL NO I’m not keeping my eyes open

I’d heard this coaster had a reputation for being uncomfortable but I found it pretty smooth. Shame it’s a little short!
The worlds first person to like an SLC
This same ride use to be in Southport Pleasure Land when I use to go there 2004 05. It was bright red then and called The Tramatizer. They moved it to Blackpool after the old Pleasure Land Southport shut.

This was my first proper inverted coaster (true first being Air at Alton Towers). I know it's considered to be one of the worst coaster models of all time, but I loved it.
Air is a flying coaster and not an invert

Shitted myself on this ride again. If u hold on to the things that keep u in and ur head against ur seat u won’t get neck ache or a head ache. That’s my tips bc I was holding on for my life

I got diagnosed with severe whiplash after going on this ride this ride was my first ride of the day and it made me feel incredibly sick after it and I couldn't move my neck the ride operator saw me clearly destressed but did jack all it wasn't until a Middle Aged lady noticed and took me to a first aider who then phoned security who then booked a taxi and took me to the local walk in centre and they said they'd give us a return as we only went on one ride but they haven't and this was like 3 months ago I was really disappointed as I wanted to enjoy a holiday with my partner

i went on a version at terra mitca (vekoma slc mostly have same layout) just keep your head back as its a bit rough on loops
Not as much as the roller coasters where you are on a track. Coasters where you are hanging, tend to be a much smoother ride.
I am going too this month,So im wondering that too.
Just go for it. No-one ever gets off and thinks 'i wish i hadn't gone on there'.

I find it hilarious how the model is a B&M Invert when it’s actually a Vekoma SLC; would be better if it was a B&M
B&M inverts are smooth such as Nemesis (Alton Towers) but Vekoma SLC’s are known for being so rough
Still very fun to ride though

Vekoma SLC - one of the roughest rides on the planet!! Whiplash - check Neck pain - check Earache - check Backache - Check. This ride has it all!! (Not as bad as the Chinese Knock-Offs which are even WORSE!) >_

I was last there in early 2006 and unfortunately I didn't get the ride this as it was only half built.

It can do. Though, to be honest, I find these 'hanging' rides much smoother than the traditional roller coasters. The Big One and the Wild Mouse can be really painful.
