@@yourexperienceguide I was sat in the back row waiting for the ride to exit the station but the operators removed me from the seat and put me on the front instead. There was then nobody in the back row for that train for the entire day. Do you know why that may be? Thanks

Went on icon for the first time today and I have to say, I didn’t think it would be as intense as it is. On the second part of the ride it feels like your doing weight lifting just putting your arms up. This combined with the awesome airtime just makes an amazing ride!

I got to ride today.
I absolutely adored every second of it, I thought i would enjoy Icon but it's exceeded expectations. I couldn't think of anything wrong with this ride and enjoyed it from queue to shop. I think this will appeal to so many people and really heightens the profile of BPB, they've really smashed it this time.
Thanks for keeping us update with the ride progress it's been a real treat and unless I've missed a few videos this is the first time in ages I've seen Becca, the hair looked great girl

Went on this ride yesterday, it’s honestly amazing! Ngl I’m so scared of rides but I faced my fears (I got dragged on it😂) and went on it. I thought the first drop wouldn’t be that bad but it’s breath taking😂 after that it’s amazing! It was a lot more intense than the video makes it out to be and it’s a lot more dramatic than I thought it would we but definitely worth it!
I’ve never been on a big rollercoaster (or any really because I’m terrified of them) but at the end of the school term we’re going Blackpool again and my friends said I have to go on ICON with them...I said fine (didn’t really have an option😂😂) but I’m already getting scared by looking at the turns...is it fine for people who are no good with rollercoasters??

This is one of the only rides I've seen where everyone has come off laughing, whether they were brave with rides or completely terrified, it just leaves you breathless and totally overwhelmed, what a powerful coaster!
I went on it today...rode it 7 times. A very long amazing ride and a very fast turn around time due to having three sets of trains.....One loading/off loading, One parked & ready to launch, and the third active on the track. Every video ive seen is deceptive...because the ride gives you weightlessness, extreem acceleration, deep plunging drops that you majestically emerge out of. You get a super-smooth feeling of gliding... due to the wheels being on the outside of the track. You almost forget there is a track at all! And get off feeling totally euphoric....it lifts your soul. 😎
Can you use the normal wristbands on the ride or do you have to get a separate ticket for it
ICON is included on the wristband.

I have a Pleasure Beach pass and I went on Sunday (June 24th) and I went on Icon 5 times in a row a it was that good. Going to see what the queue is like on July 7 for late night riding too.
It'll have a long queue but if running on three trains it will be a fast moving queue.

Good job! Went to Pleasure Beach on Sat and we had plenty of rides on Icon... what can I say? Definitely the highest quality coaster in the UK, and also the best.
It's so clever - a lot of people seem to be saying it looks slow, but it's just the right speed that allows you to properly appreciate the forces of every element. I mean, what's the point of a zero-G roll or an Immelmann if it's over before you felt it? Icon is fast where it needs to be, and there is plenty of airtime throughout. Ain't nobody saying it's 'too slow' or 'boring' in the exit area!
BPB has taken a leap forward for the UK, I hope other parks will follow. I'm going back on Friday specifically to ride this all day!

Great video. Went on Icon several times last week and all I can say is that it is WAY more thrilling that it appears in any video. It was so much fun, we loved it. Closest things we have ridden are Universal's Hulk or Oakwood's Speed, both great and maybe taller and faster rides, but I enjoyed Icon much more. It is now definitely Blackpool's best (and smoothest!) ride. Front row is best :)

Went on Sunday managed to get on it 4 times , first time I was so scared with it only being a lap bar but honestly pleasure beach has done such a good job with this ride I love it! Best ride since valhalah! Queue went down fast there was a minor technical fault which didn’t take them long to fix as well and it definitely secures you in tight enough

The only people saying this is a boring ride are people who haven't rode it and are also GP. No enthusiast would say this ride looks boring. The heartline roll is easily the best part, some amazing hang time there.

Being only 12, the G-forces made me feel like my face was coming off XD This was my 2nd favourite. The big one was the best because of the first drop

1. Been on icon 7 times now and it's definitely my favourite. Been on the front row once (save that for summer, in the winter it's too goddamn cold) and the back four times, and I can tell you the back is the best seat.
2. I finally went on infusion, after months of convincing. An tbh, it wasn't as bad as I expected. But those barrel rolls tho, damn that hurt.

Just wow, got on this 10 times yesterday (surprising for a bank holiday saturday) and ride it in the majority of rows (think i missed out 5) and I have to say it’s absolutely outstanding. It is easily the top coaster in the u.k. and definitely a contender for top 10 in Europe. The airtime is outstanding and it has some really good intense parts for a mack. It’s my number 2 behind Shambhala and i’m just so happy that the UK now has another world class ride experience!

Went on it twice in September first time front seat and enjoyed it but second time sat towards the back and though it was quite rough
Got some good forces on it - most notably the top hat, along with the final helix. The latter really gets you good, haha.
It just doesn't compare to wickerman though - I think this is the second best in the UK. The ride staff on icon also completely tighten the restraint as much as possible - leading to a rather uncomfortable ride sometimes. I was also asked to move a few times to the back because I have big thighs - despite having rode earlier on the front just fine.
Wickerman has amazing theming, airtime, speed - everything you want on a great woodie. Unfortunately this ride definitely suffers from pacing issues. It just feels slow after the first few elements following each launch. It barely scrapes through the immelmann at times. I wish they went with intamin for this. More forceful launch, mainly.
However it's still very good - my fav steel coaster I've rode by far, wickerman just offers a more thrilling, fast paced ride.
(Valhalla was better than this, imo!)

Personally, we prefer ICON to the Wicker Man but we absolutely love the Wicker Man too, both excellent coasters and great additions to a fairly lacklustre UK lineup.

I went on icon for the first time about 2:weeks ago, omg it was bloody brilliant, can’t wait to go on it again in the future, was definitely the highlight of my trip this year, 😁👍
Anyone scared of going on this, don’t be. It’s so fun and would 100% recommend! Such an adrenaline rush, my new favourite ride at the pleasure beach, and usually the queues are quite short.
This would be a perfect first coaster (with an inversion) for somebody who is unsure about rollercoasters. I don’t think it’s too intense, in fact it feels more like a family thrill coaster for me, but it’s still fantastic! 🙂

This is late, but i went on it two times and it was much faster than it seems here. The first time I was sat in the middle and I really enjoyed it but the second time I was at the very back and wow! The back of the car is a lot more intense and I loved it!

been on once, its a crazy ride, 4.3 g force max, it twists and turns and your not sure which way up you are at times.
the liar king I’ve gotten used to it and know the layout very well now, but for the first few times it’s hard to work out which corner is coming next
@@yourexperienceguide i just kept my eyes shut the whole way, maybe next time i will open them. the initial acceleration is great but not intimidating, the scary part is the unpredictable twists.
Can't wait to get on this, I'm recovering from reconstructive ACL surgery atm but this is giving me some seriously incentive to get on with the physio. Great vid as always Scott mate :)

Just been on the ride today the que was full but we got on the ride in about 20 mins!!the ride it's self isn't that bad at all it's fast there's plenty of going upside down if thats your thing!!!and also the seating is very comfortable!the cold spray of water was nice too during the ride as it was a hot day🎢🌞🌞😎😎

The queue is amazingly quick, the ride operators are fantastic.

Go with someone, and tell them to drag you on it before you go to the park, no matter how much you say no when you're there. That's how I got the courage to go on the medium coasters when I was younger.

I love icon but it’s so scary I was holding on for dear life. I had my eyes closed and was screaming at my loudest. It was the most scariest ride I’ve been on in my life but it’s incredible.

@@bowserjunior8593 I was going too, i first went on the back, but on my 5th time i hardly had time left to go on it and i would have waited like 4-5 turns to be at the front, whereas the seats behind the front was 1st turn, so i went for them. Overall this ride is really good and pretty smooth, and not rackity at all.

When my school went to the pleasure beach in blackpool ( I've never been on a roller coaster or blackpool ) this is the first thing we went on and I had no experience with roller coasters so I was screaming at the top of my lungs 😂

Went on Icon yesterday, and after 11 rides for me it's by far the best ride in the UK, and one of the best in Europe. It's borderline perfection. Launches, inversions, airtime, long, well themed, amazing throughput and what I enjoyed the most is the fact everyone absolutely loves it. Enthusiasts and GP all riding with their arms up and having a great time. Such a dynamic rollercoaster which rides excellent in every seat. Never experienced ejector on the front row of a rollercoaster before. Still gobsmacked about how good it was. Congrats!

What are those Cameras on the front of each 2 seats are they what the ride has and does it take Photos and Videos? Can you Pay for Videos to be done aswell is that including into the DigiPass? Or are they GoPros that people took on and attached cause I heard you aren't allowed GoPro's?

Not really but gives the riders more of an exposed feeling. Coasters without shoulder restraints are much better.
Do you get that horrible weightless feeling in your stomach?
You do especially on that on but where it goes up and you range upside down for a minute. Best ride there in my opinion though!

I have rided it 24 time since it opened
Smooth, slow, comfortable ride for beginners. With no loop the loop, or vertical drop it spends most the time doing left right checanes. The Big One is WAY better! I think Blackpool over spent on this attraction. The gift shop is more exiting than the ride.

Keira 101 No, over the head restraints are uncomfortable and ruin the ride experience, lap bars are the future.

I can tell you the height requirement for the Icon is 130cm tall or for the back seats it's 150cm tall. If you look on the Pleasure Beach website you can find the info for any ride that's applicable on there, It has nothing to do with age. There is also a maximum height exclusion for the Icon where if the guests head exceeds the height of the headrest then the guest will be unable to ride.
