- Joe Alaskey is the voice behind "Plucky Duck" and the voice talent that filled in Jackie Gleason's voice for the lost episodes of "The Honeymooners". This is clip from a David Allan interview where Joe does "Plucky Duck", "Boris Badenov" (which he currently does for commercials), & "Daffy Duck"
RIP Joe. How cool to have Jackie Gleason pick you as the best sound alike to replace his voice where the soundtrack went bad? Wow!
Rip Joe!!! Miss him dearly he was such a huge part of my childhood!!!💕😪
R.I.P. Joe Alaskey :(
Thanks for the awesome childhood....
+SavyIsJosho Agreed.
+SavyIsJosho R.I.P. Joe Alaskey
RIP Joe ... 😭

I just now have known about his death. And I'm shocked...
RIP Joe... great performer and actor... I saw you for the first time in "Out of this world"...
He also voiced a narrator of Toon Disney bumpers and promos (2002-2004).
Joe Alaskey is 1 of my favorite voice actors ever.
Thank you for voicing our favorite characters from our childhood rest in peace Joe
All the characters you voiced are crying tonight. RIP
I love his voices mostly Plucky and Daffy!
Atleast he's reunited with Hampton (Don Messick)
RIP legend forever!
I loved him in Duck Dodgers the most. RIP. 😭
Wow!!! I'm glad he's getting work. He's a genius at impressions. His contrast of young and old Jackie Gleason was uncanny.
A very talented, over looked impressionist and voice artist!
RIP. That man was so good...
Joe Alaskey and Jeff Bergman are Blanc's best successors, along with Bob Bergen, Maurice Lamarche etc.
Include Bill Farmer and Billy West, too!!!
@@michaelpowell5266 They were never favorable for me, but I do like them, especially West. Though I think West is the best successor for Elmer Fudd
This man is great! A great voice talent!
Goodbye Joe Alaskey. When we hear again the voices :'(
+Marvincmf
He has could repeat success of Mel Blanc. Who else so will be can? Nobody, I think. ;-(
Классный актер озвучки был!👍
omg! i loved that show..
RIP Joe A.. God rest your soul.
I grew up to thise guys stuff ....... rip my dude rest in peace
Real genius how he came up with Plucky’s voice by making it a bit distinct but sounding alike at the same time. It’s as genius as Mel Blanc doing Bugs and Daffy impersonating each other in one Rabbit Duck Season cartoon with Elmer. It so cool how he hit curveball voice request from the execs.
R.I.P Joe thank you for your Looney Tunes and other cartoon voice acting
I'll miss you Mr. Alaskey.
RIP We will miss you...
Goodbye, Joe Alaskey the voice of Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck And Plucky Duck. say Hello to Jeff Bergman the voice of Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck in the Looney Tunes Show.
OMG ! he died this morning!! R.I.P Joe alaskey, your were a worthy successor to Mel Blanc and keep the Looney Tunes legacy alive. .
I believe Mel would have been pleased with Joe he honor Bugs Bunny well done
+Terryfan I like to think they are both comparing voice now. Hopefully he
finally met Jackie Gleason
RIP Joe.
R.I.P. Joe Alaskey
Joe is awesome.
My YOUTH
This guy really lived up to Mel Blanc's image. It's hard to tell the difference between Mel's Bugs and Joe's Bugs.
The Voice over of Toon Disney in 2001-2004
Yes he was
0:38 Joe Alaskey would do great as Mama Luigi
RIP
@GeorgeGeef200 I don't know that, but I do know that he did the voices of Foghorn Leghorn & Yosemite Sam in "Who Framed Rodger Rabbit" because Mel Blanc was in his late 80's at the time they were recording the cartoon voices & those two were just to much of a strain on Mel's throat. Mel actualy died about three weeks after Rodger Rabbit was released.
Rest in peace.
So strange... I'm watching Murder Comes to Town, and this guy is the narrator. It's strange to see him doing goofy other voices, when he sounds so mysterious and serious on the program.
From Out of this World, to Duck Dodgers.
He’s also a voice Marvin the Martian.
RIP Joe
I never knew Joe Alaskey came to Albany for an interview. I was just a kid during this old news reel, I grew up in Schenectady which is very close to Albany. Did Joe grow up in Albany himself? I do remember Nancy Cartwright did her Bart voice for announcing a broadcast for WXXA Fox 23 on the credits of some shoes playing as a kid. She came to Albany herself obviously for an interview too.
Joe Alaskey was born in Troy, NY and grew up in Watervliet, NY.
Thanks. I changed it already.
yes man i like 2 play anny thing that i know that..
they should re-air tiny toons
this guy is a legend
i love Duck Dodgers!
R.I.P:(
Wrong! That was Dee Bradley Baker who did Daffy in "Space Jam".
HAHAHAHA HE IS SOOOOO FUNNY
@benjamillion in the later episodes he did. He voiced Daffy Duck in Space Jam.
Bad ass.
Rip :(
R.I.P Joe Alaskey
R.I.P.
rip
@PropellerBusted
and please explain how that translates to the name of a title
rip bugs
anyway as you can see from how old my last comment was i'm surprised that you still remember what this is about. all i did was correct the person on saying "looney toons" when it should be "tunes" like how it's supposed to be spelled
Now who's gonna voice Plucky for TTA revival?
They should get either Jeff Bergman, Billy West, or Jeff Bennett. But he will always be the original if they do! RIP
We have to see if they've made demo recordings if I'm gonna write a script with my friends to make a Tiny Toons feature film for theaters.
Also, me and my friends need to get Amblin Entertainment and TMS, to look on the ideas on the TTA feature film, especially in cel animation. And we need to find some composers to write film scores and/or songs too.
Please don't start with that.
Some of them are in their 50's.
@GeorgeGeef200 occassionally, he did taz. however, he is NOT the voice of porky (that's bob bergen). Also, he and Bergen alternate on doing tweety and marvin the martian...
It's alright.
Tenia talento...
I was just explaining how a simple mistake could be made. You called me confused when you're the one who's confused because you still don't get it. LOL!
@benjamillion Yes, but the confusion is due to Looney Tunes, not Looney Toons. As in Merrie Melodies.
You know, music!
Had a funny voice
Wow this seems so damn old....
@godofrock2004 ANd the animated series that came later.
but why are you comparing ME to HIM?
please don't compare me to that egomaniac....
Goodbye Joe Alaskey
@mrwest15 does do a great daffy
@benjamillion Sounds like you're new to animation.
it said "author withheld". so how are you so sure it was me and not you? or possibly some troll that watched this video?
Mel Blanc was the king of voices .
didn't he do the voice for the grandpa in rugrats?
yes
After his original voice actor David Doyle passed away.
How old that interview is?
@systemoperator ok. my bad man.
The funniest thing is that under reelated videos is a "breastfeeding tips" video....WTF is that about? Why is it related to him? lol
dude... my first post on this subject wasn't even aimed at you. so why are you responding to me in the first place? i'm not saying YOU'RE confused, i'm saying that you calling me new doesn't even have to do what i'm talking about. or are you ignoring this too?
ಠ̯ಠ
Yeah, sounds like you're new.
I was just defending the uploader's simple mistake. Longtime fans of American animation and cinema know about Looney Tunes. And that's probably why the uploader spelled it that way.
Simple mistake. Calm down.
@systemoperator ok
You deleted your own comment because you knew you were wrong.
lol
no... no
too bad i don't find that amusing
the interviewer sucks... "that duck you did earlier?" A real amateur... not like Joe.
RIP Joe
RIP
