He's just so wonderfully casual in that Daffy voice.
He was the best post-Mel Blanc voice actor for the Looney Tunes. He did an excellent job filling his shoes, at least until his own death. Rest in peace Joe Alaskey 1952-2016, you will be missed.
Talented guy. I can't help but love that Daffy duck voice.
In my opinion, Joe's Daffy is a solid second to Mel's; he took the greedy jerkwad Daffy created by Chuck Jones and pretty much embodied that version (as for the Tex Avery screwball Daffy, I'd say either Dee Bradley Baker or Eric Bauza embodied that after Mel).
Great interview, wish I had found this before now. RIP Joe, thanks for picking up where Mel left off.
He was the best post-Mel Bugs & Daffy in my eyes
+ddrlear I thought the same thing. It's unfortunate it takes his passing to recognize his great talents (for me). He is such a down to earth guy. Probably would talk to anyone.
He was just an incredible actor. He wasn't just an impressionist. He was a truly talented man.
Without him there wouldn't have been any ''Tiny Toon Adventures'', ''Looney Tunes: Back in Action'' or ''Duck Dodgers''. My favorite DD episode is the one where he gets hypnotized by a vampire and we see Duck Dodgers as Igor:D :D :D I loved him. I loved the guy so much.
RIP my hero and a great cartoon legend!! Thank you for an awesome childhood, Joe.
I really wanted to meet him so bad, but I’ll never get my chance. He was the voice of some of my favourite Looney Tunes characters is Bugs Bunny, Daffy duck, Sylvester tweety and he is my number one favourite voice actor and he will be missed. Thank you for bringing so much joy to others all around the world joe will never forget you. 😊
Congratulations Joe alaskey
You will be greatly missed Grandpa Lou and the rest of the lot. One man, many voices.
JOE ALASKY JOE ALASKY JOE ALASKY JOE ALASKY JOE ALASKY
Woooowwwwwwwwww joe alasky
WHY DID HE HAVE TO GO😢😢😢
Why did Mel Blanc have to go?
Yeah
I know, right?
RIP, you brought laughter to million!! Thank You
Cancer cut Joe Alaskey down at 63- Jeff Bergman and Bill Farmer now cover some of his roles!!!
My true stability comes from this voice actor, Joe Alaskey.
Am I the only one who notices that his Bugs and Daffy sound similar to Mel Blanc's characters in Looney Tunes "Carnival of the animals".
Youre favorite bestest voice of stinky from casper movie and tv show and plucky from tiny toons adventures and daffy duck and bugs bunny from looney tunes.
HE SHOULD BE ON THE LOONEY TUNES SHOW!!!
3:14 i loved he's impression of Homer Simpson.😂😂😂😂😂 R.I.P Joe Alaskey,hope to see you in heaven. 😇😇😇😇🙏🙏🙏
rip Joe Alaskie
Legend!
Rip Joe Alaskey 😢🐰

The people are a little bit rude actually.
Joe Alaskey is great!!
He seemed like a nice guy

I love Joe's response at 3:15, lol.
Wow, those people are really rude, Joe is amazing!
Barney is NOT part of the Looney Tunes! That would be scary...
Foghorn leghorn!
My favorite!!!
RIP mr alaskey
Rest In Paradise…
He's great!!! Love Looney Tunes!!
omg i didnt know he was the voice actor for all these characters he was amazing.
RIP Joe Alaskey :(
HE WAS PLUCKY! I
Joseph Francis Alaskey III (April 17, 1952 - February 3, 2016)
In Tiny Toon Adventures, Joe Alaskey quit for other reasons -- of the financial kind. The money issue was resolved, so Joe returned. But Charley's resignation letters were final, and we had to recast. Joe Alaskey also claimed to have a problem with Andrea Romano. He felt she treated him differently than some of the other actors -- He cannot verify this.Joe could be temperamental, and Andrea was just trying to get the job done, and done well.Joe's complaints about Andrea hurt her, and after that, Andrea often avoided directing Joe Alaskey in voice sessions.
Wow...legend.
RIP never knew who you are until now.
Joe Alaskey and Jeff Bergman will always he my favorite successors to Mel Blanc and other classic VAs, the only characters where they aren’t are.
Porky(Bob Bergen wins)
Speedy(Fred Armisen wins)
Pete(John Kassir wins)
Goofy Gophers(Rob Paulsen & Jess Harnell win)
Sam(Maurice Lamarche wins)
Elmer(Billy West wins)
Marvin(Eric Bauza and Joe Alaskey win)
Those were a few “examples” but usually Jeff Bergman and Joe Alaskey are my favorite successors.
Daffy Duck:this large ungainly purple dinosaur happens to be a fan of the Looney Tunes. had me laughing so hard 😂
RIP Joe Alaskey :( I thought he also did a brilliant William Shatner.
+Dontuween It not only made me sad when he passed away, but it made me really grumpy. 2016 is what I call a really miserable year.
@Lakitu1134 Yes, unfortunately, David Doyle, the original voice of Grandpa Lou, died in 1997, apparently from a heart attack
❤
Damn this make you think thats hes alive RIP joe alaskey may june foray and mel be with you
Impressive. :)
R.I.P. Joe Alaskey
It’s a shame towards the end of his life Warner Bros quit casting him for the vast majority of Looney Tunes projects and he didn’t have a single role in The Looney Tunes Show, minus playing Daffy in his Green Loontern Costume in Lego Batman 3 his last Looney Tunes Project was a educational PC Game in 2012.
rip joe alaskey
He is the best post-Mel Bugs in my opinion.
His bugs isn't without it's charm.
It's a tall order to fill Mel Blanc's shoes. He does a pretty good job..better then anybody else i reckon,.,'bt
mess up at 3:39
xD
well i can tell that guy was just trying to plug his music, although i sorta wanna hear it now.
He spoke in Stinkie's voice, he remembered! YAAY! *melts* X3 Okay, that made my day! :) Wow, so how'd you get Joe to come out there and do this interview? E-mail him, or was he just walking along and you said, "Hey there! Wanna do this?"
This is so cool! ^.^ I think this is my favorite, OMG, I love that expression he gave at the black man with the CD.
He was a guest on a comedy talk show I was producing at the time, hosted by comedian Laurie Buckley, who was his longtime friend. We met that way, and of course Laurie is ultra flattering and built me up. So, I felt comfortable to just ask if he would do this show I was producing on my own -- The Yellow Mic actually had Emmy winning producers attached (C/D Entertainment) as well. I had all kinds of little things like that to make it sound appealing to him (or whoever I would be pitching to)... but I think he was just down from the get go anyway. He and his family have been super nice to me ever since. Great people. I am so proud to have met and worked with him before he sadly passed.
I only know him as Beano.
But he is good, he is very worthy, just because Mel Blanc started it doesn't mean he's the only one that can do it right, this guy is one of the better replacements out there. And please slow down when you type, you've missed so many words in your sentences.
fucking awesome!!!
@Lakitu1134 He was voice after the original died.
@rrhynes well u know man, most folks are too critcal these days that nothing is ever good enough,i do consider joe alasky to be one of the few voice actors to keep the looney toons alive today,he does'nt need to be like mel blanc, but i'm sure mel blanc would be proud.
Well, nobody's perfect.
1:57
The best one he can do is Sylvester.
He sounds like a middle aged Bugs.
No not really he sounds like Mel Blanc
Duck Dodgers.....man.
Everybody knows Greg burson is the best!
how old is he tho and also do they still make bugs bunny because i luv that show
Will never better Mel Blanc.
He did the best Marvin the Martian in Duck Dodgers.
All the others...meh not so much, His daffy Duck and Bugs Bunny ain't half bad neither! lol....I just miss Duck Dodgers....
His Daffy was the best!!!
Wdym-bugs and Daffy were godly!
They’re great
3:48 does that sound someone from smosh?
He shouldn’t have died back in 2016.
what about pepe le pew?
The pedestrian reactions are so lame
I wish mel blanc was still alive this new bugs bunny isn't funny anymore just boring
RIP
