Awesome job referencing the X-Wing series with the Battle of Turkana. Those games don't get enough love nowadays. I love your approach to integrating "Legends" and current canon in-universe by chalking up inconsistencies as rumors and hearsay. The Empire heavily censored the news, so it makes sense that there would be conflicting accounts about historical events.
After he said "I'm feeling a little nostalgic for the old days," with the music cue I half-expected him to go through the star wars equivalent of a 'Nam flashback.
It was by the will of the force that the Jedi be destroyed. The Jedi put their loyalty to the Republic, not the Force itself. The Sith was merely the means to make it happen.
Only thing that kills me with this video is that thing about Luke being the most famous x-wing pilot... In the Lore it is actually Wedge Antilies who is the most famous X-Wing pilot. Let me count the ways; 1)Co-Founder of Rogue Squadron (Created after battle of Yavin /Before Battle of Hoth and Wedge took lead after battle of Hoth) 2)The only pilot in the Starwars Universe to have fought in and survived both deathstar battles 3)Has equal claim to a deathstar Kill on the side of his ship as Luke as he also helped deliver a killing blow to the second deathstar.
Normal people don't talk about the guy who survived both Death Star attacks. They talk about the one who destroyed a Death Star. And in the setting of this video which is in the middle of the GCW, as-in pre-Battle of Endor, Wedge hasn't survived two Death Star attacks. So no.
point taken. That takes my points as not yet happening except the first one. I still favor Wedge cause I think he unfairly overlooked. Wedge is basically the Poe Dameron of the original trilogy. but they don't showcase him like they do Poe.
actually wedge has credit for the second deathstar kill just as much as lando does. he fired and destroyed part of the core before lando finished it. so technically wedge should be. but luke has a more fame grabbing story. farm boy turned son of a jedi knight/new jedi knight and great pilot who kills a planet killer.
***** If you're talking to me: again, the setting of this video. at no point did I object to that. Anyway, the fact that Luke was rumored to be and is a Jedi is enough to overshadow Wedge.
I am liking this series, for the next one how about talk a bit on the y-wing? sure it is not a popular ship but it still deserves recognition for it service in both the republic and the rebel alliance.
Star chasher And it has a hyperdrive plus shields and a defensive turret in the back also i believe the 170 cannons are waaaaaaay stronger than the Z-95 which in legends was shit and in cannon its a little less shit a lot faster tho but not as fast as even a goddam tie
semillakan6 I was surprised he said the headhunter was a step in the right direction over the arc-170 when it's probably the other way around in survivability and firepower
semillakan6 unfortunately, cause the arc-170 was one of the toughest fighters, and carried one hell of a payload plus that rear gunner cover fire would be worth its weight in gold, not taking away from the headhunter but they aren't even comparable in terms of their combat rolls and stats
besides shack you forgot the important parts of why the xwing is better than all tie variants other then later ones like defenders.. mainly the fact it mounts 4 laser cannons capable of single dual or qaud shots and proton torpedos giving it a chance hurt caps (without ramming your ship into the bridge... yes a wings. im talking about you) but also the fact that it has sheilds meaning a pilot can survive and as such learn
God i love this series so much its weirdly interesting and you come away learning something new... anyway shack I was wondering if you would like to come on my new series... its basically just a short chat show where you can talk about star wars or anything else you want to talk about
Duude the 170 was one of the best star fighters out there. It had enough food for the three men piloting it for weeks, and it had it's own hyperdrive, making it independent. Not only that, but it could take more than a few hits, now when have you seen an X-Wing survive a direct shot? The 170 could attack capital ships with ease and engage in dogfights at the same time. If a squadron of X-wings could take down a death star, then a squadron of 170s could take down two and still have enough power to destroy an enemy squadron. But, it all really depends on the pilot, even then the Rebellion and Empire both favoured the 170s early on in the war. the original is always the best.
Can you do an Awakening of the Rebellion let's play next. So if you are the keeper of the Jedi Archives then tell us everything about the Jedi Civil War
wrong shack. luke is infamous for killing the first deathstar. but there is only one rebel/new republic pilot to survive not one but 2 death star runs and also killed one. Wedge Antilles.
please have a republic venator in the next episode i bed them and they arc170s are some of my favorite ships in the clone wars era and all round to be fair
you should do these videos more often. Keep up the good work
Love this, Love this. So well done CaptainShack! I love how you have multiple games in this for perspective. Its really great!
"Good shot Red two!"
nice rogue squadron quote in the description. i miss that series and wish they'd bring it back
"You'll find this X-wing is FULLY OPERATIONAL!"

What's your beef with the arc 170 shack?
Ah, it's been a while. Glad to see this coming back.
To all of you reading this have a great fucking day.
Fucking thank you.
GGmygoodman fuck, thanks
After he said "I'm feeling a little nostalgic for the old days," with the music cue I half-expected him to go through the star wars equivalent of a 'Nam flashback.
have to say You are a great storyteller Shack keep them coming
How is the galaxy balance when there only the light side?
It was by the will of the force that the Jedi be destroyed. The Jedi put their loyalty to the Republic, not the Force itself. The Sith was merely the means to make it happen.
After Yoda's death the force was truly in balance; two Jedi and two Sith.
Love this series, looking forward to more. Love learning about Imperial ships mostly.
Great to see this series again! Hope the next one comes a little bit quicker than this. XP
Man, this reminds me of survival stories. I miss that series.
Bring back survival stories!
Nice work Captain!
I really like these!! Thank you for your effort!!

Wrath Nine Ehh that's debatable. I haven't read X-Wing though so that might be why I view Luke as "the greatest pilot of the galaxy."

B wings Shack!!! those were always my favorite
Come on shack the 170 is one of the best star fighters in the galaxy
agreed, it may be slow and bluckey but it has beater fire power then a Y-wing's proton bom baylode
TheTemplarnight Yeah it seem like someone did not study the schematics (wookiepedia)
semillakan6 unfortunately, cause the arc-170 was one of the toughest fighters, and carried one hell of a payload plus that rear gunner cover fire would be worth its weight in gold, not taking away from the headhunter but they aren't even comparable in terms of their combat rolls and stats
Awesome job! hope you keepp making these
you should make more lore videos man
What's that song with the cellos? I've heard it in the Great War series as well. It sounds familiar, but I can't pinpoint it
besides shack you forgot the important parts of why the xwing is better than all tie variants other then later ones like defenders.. mainly the fact it mounts 4 laser cannons capable of single dual or qaud shots and proton torpedos giving it a chance hurt caps (without ramming your ship into the bridge... yes a wings. im talking about you) but also the fact that it has sheilds meaning a pilot can survive and as such learn
Awesome Vids keep up the Great work
great video man
I'm gonna say Po Dameron's the new MVP when it comes to kicking ass in a an X-wing. Doesn't even need the force. Skywalker can suck it!
4:40 Who also thought that the rebel ship came back online

X-Wing is my favorite ship. I want a fully functional one IRL!!!
Yay more lore
Pls do Venator next
You do of course know that Wedge has 2 Death Star Badges and a SSD badge on his fighter. well in what is now Legends

why is a X wing landed on the surface of an asteroid with the cockpit open?
looks to me like the pilot ejected
in the x-wing if a pilot ejected the canopy blows off.

DragonFire Blitz could had been a old venator class
no more episodes after this?
but... but... in legends, wasn't the tie intercepter created aby while the aliance had used x-wings bby?? in that case the time line dose not add up
Can next episode be about either the Republic or the CIS/TF
TIE-Fighter Pilots Worst Nightmare.
But I like the arc 170, it's got bigger daka, shields, armour, and a rear gunner...
what game is that
Hey shack. You should do like a large rp for star wars. I have a system of rp that would work for this.
i just realize if a X-wing have ion cannons Rogue Squadron would never use any other starfighter
do a history about the Corvette.
wrong shack. luke is infamous for killing the first deathstar. but there is only one rebel/new republic pilot to survive not one but 2 death star runs and also killed one. Wedge Antilles.
what's a "Vultures" job???

yey, x-wings
Do the hammer head cruiser from KOTOR 1 and 2
These were good videos. Shame the views dropped off on this one and you decided to stop making them

What game is this
michael mcgo the one with the blocky/angled blocks is called space engineers. It isn't a Star Wars game but people make Star Wars ships.
