Never thought "The Pie Pizzeria" as one of Utah's Pizza places would hit this list cos as I was going down a mind-list of Pizza places local to the Salt Lake Valley and "The Pie Pizzeria" was one of those. Also if you're ever traveling to Salt Lake City, Utah? The "Pie", as some locals call it, has about 5 or so locations across the valley
I instantly knew this list was bogus when I looked at their entry for Ohio and saw something other than LaRosa's Pizza there. That is the only thing I miss from 4 otherwise misspent years in the Buckeye State: the amazing regional cuisine!
it seems like chicagoans go out of their way to avoid deep dish. just own it! who cares what new yorkers say. im from connecticut and i would try deep dish in a heartbeat.
@@exrva as a native NYer who's lived in Chicago, my only pet peeve is that deep dish is different enough from other styles that I wish it were called something other than pizza. But that's one of those screwy things that probably bothers only me. From cursory observation I'd say Chicagoans do eat it, but only occasionally. A lot of area joints offer deep dish, but not so many make a good one. It's a lot of crust, so if the dough is too bland, too salty, too greasy, or too soggy, it's a chore to eat. And even when it's done right, it's a heavy sitdown meal, not the kind of thing you'd want every week.
Pisano pizza in Jackson California or Gondolas Pizza in La Mirada California both places are family owned with the freshest ingredients so yummy and clean establishment
I think that Slim and Husky's in Nashville, TN should have been selected for best pizza in Nashville, TN. I love pizza and will definitely be trying the locations recommend when I visit certain states.
Yeah that's what I was thinking. That pizza you can't possibly eat without a fork and knife. Cecil Whittaker's is my favorite of all St. Louis style thin crust.
Ok so let me list a bunch of things from this list that aren't "traditional" ingredients on a pizza: - apricot sauce - pistachios - spicy honey (sounds delicious) - tater tots - cheese whiz - strawberries (in the video used as a desert centerpiece, not on actual pizza tho) - grapes Now I'm no pizza purist, but you can't have these things being popular on pizza, and then have the internet complain about "ananas". As long as it tastes good, right ?!
That was a no-brainer. Pepe’s and Sally’s are both famous and both delicious. I mean, presidents ate there. I prefer Pepe’s but my husband prefers Sally’s, so when we go back to CT to visit, we pick the one with the shortest line.
For real that pizza doesn't even look appetizing in a video. I can think of plenty of places that are better off the top of my head. Porta in Asbury, Conte's in Princeton, Brooklyn Square Pizza just to name a few
Curioni's in Lodi (Walt's if you're a Lodidian like me) is the best i've had. Renaldo pizza masters is another good one. i've had carmine's and it"s just meh. not great.

Throughout the whole video, I was stumped as to who would be named as the Great State of Washington's top pie. I haven't been to Flying Goat, but I guess I've got my dinner plans set for my next trip out your way.

Great video, but I hate that you guys just skimmed over North Carolina. The restaurant I would have chosen for the state would have been Cugino Forno. They get their ingredients imported from Sicily every week and will actually close the store if they run out of inventory. Insanely good pizza.

I’ve lived in Nashville, TN most of my life, and while I’m not at all surprised, I’m still a bit disappointed that Five Points came out as the “best.” I’m not saying that they’re bad, but they’re highly overrated. Not only are they overpriced, but they’re not unique. If I want NY style pizza, I’ll go to NY. It’s a scam to copy the style of another city/state. I haven’t visited all of TN, but the best pizza in Nashville is definitely Slim & Husky’s. Try their “see no green.” Slim & Husky’s is actually *unique* pizza that you can’t get in any other city or state. Not just an overpriced copycat of another city and state like 5 Points. Prices are reasonable too. Great value for what you’re getting.

good thing about living in alabama for these videos is that i don't have to wait lol
😂
If you go to Cos Cob in Greenwich Connecticut, we literally have 5 pizza restaurants that share the same road. Because most of the stone masons that made the bridges there were Italian, most of them settled there.
As a resident of Hawaii, I can confirm J. Dolan's is the best pizza in the whole state. Actually as a well traveled individual, IMO J. Dolan's is one of the best pies I've ever had.
I'm reading the comments because I love pizza too much! 😆🇮🇹👋
we all clicked on this to see our state
no, i dont live in usa
As a life-long New Jerseyian, I can't believe you guys picked this place out of the thousands of amazing pizza shops we have here! List lost all credibility right there..
For real. Down right offensive. Let's at least throw DeLorenzo's in there. Or the 100 other better options than what he picked.
Michelinos is great too imo
Razza in JC too
Agreed that right there was a sin to pizza
The whole video I was drooling 🤤
Wyoming (Northwest) has "The Trailhead" in Cody as well as a great delivery place called "Pizza on the Run".
i love how he included Puerto Rico

@Wis Dum you must hate your life huh 😂
Never thought "The Pie Pizzeria" as one of Utah's Pizza places would hit this list cos as I was going down a mind-list of Pizza places local to the Salt Lake Valley and "The Pie Pizzeria" was one of those.
Also if you're ever traveling to Salt Lake City, Utah? The "Pie", as some locals call it, has about 5 or so locations across the valley

*Proceeds to show clip of guy sprinkling Parmigiano on the pizza*
YUUUUUUUUUUUUUUP. You got the best pizza joint in Iowa for sure. Wig and Pen's pizza is magical.
@2:43 Lou Malnati's🍕🔥🔥🔥🔥 is one of the best pizza in Chicago that butter cut😍😴
Look up Chicago Best they have all different kinds of places to eat
That pizza is ok but let’s get real that’s for tourist just like giordanos
@@arj8358 that's facts Uno and Giordano's gets more tourists
I instantly knew this list was bogus when I looked at their entry for Ohio and saw something other than LaRosa's Pizza there. That is the only thing I miss from 4 otherwise misspent years in the Buckeye State: the amazing regional cuisine!
I'm from Chicago and no one here really eats deep dish pizza except for tourists. But we do like square cut tavern style pizza. 🍕
Its facts your absolutely right but hopefully the people don't think that it's not good because it is
had to scroll through the comments to make sure someone pointed this out
Some of us order the deep dish. Not often, though. Maybe a time or two per year. And upon out of state guest request.
it seems like chicagoans go out of their way to avoid deep dish. just own it! who cares what new yorkers say. im from connecticut and i would try deep dish in a heartbeat.
That look really good great video 🔥🔥🔥🔥😋😋🤤🤤🤤🤤
No you dont love me because of that i know.
Seriously....with all of the amazing pizza places in st.louis alone, someone picked a pizza with a pile of crap in the middle of it.
Yeah that's what I was thinking. That pizza you can't possibly eat without a fork and knife. Cecil Whittaker's is my favorite of all St. Louis style thin crust.
@@joemckim1183 I love Pirrones! Cecil Whittakers is also amazing.
For Maryland my favorite pizzas are “Ledo’s” and “&Pizza” 🤤 no place like home
Just went to pies and pints for the first time 2 weeks ago here in West Virginia and it definitely deserved its mention🥰🥰
I've gained about 10 lbs just watching this delicious-looking presentation. Bravo!
I'm reading the comments because I love pizza too much! 😆🇮🇹👋
Ok so let me list a bunch of things from this list that aren't "traditional" ingredients on a pizza:
- apricot sauce
- pistachios
- spicy honey (sounds delicious)
- tater tots
- cheese whiz
- strawberries (in the video used as a desert centerpiece, not on actual pizza tho)
- grapes
Now I'm no pizza purist, but you can't have these things being popular on pizza, and then have the internet complain about "ananas". As long as it tastes good, right ?!
thank you!!! my comment is similar to this one.
Reindeer sausage is definitely an unorthodox ingredient if you distinguish it from regular sausage.
Ya they went for the Gimmicks instead of the traditional and actually popular places when they showed my state I was just like "WTF!!"
you forgot pineapple
My Italian heritage is crying at some of these toppings
Every time someone says something about non-Italian toppings on pizza...I'm reminded of what Italians did to pasta when they got it from Asia!

Best. video idea ever!
Wow I’m surprised they got CT right. Also bar, modern and Sally’s are just as good, pepe got that white clam and that hits different
That was a no-brainer. Pepe’s and Sally’s are both famous and both delicious. I mean, presidents ate there. I prefer Pepe’s but my husband prefers Sally’s, so when we go back to CT to visit, we pick the one with the shortest line.
If not better!!
Wow, there are so many delicious-looking pizzas.
as a person from NJ i feel as if this video has disgraced us!
Yes... NJ is legitimately the pizza capital of the US and they show some gimmicky shapey pizza with fruit in the center. 🙄
@@cheryl5768 doesn’t make any sense!
Renaldo pizza masters is another good one. i've had carmine's and it"s just meh. not great.
Manco and Manco, previously Mac and Manco, is some damn good Jersey pizza!
Washington also has Pagliacci Pizza.
I was literally drooling whilst watching this video
Ah, finally a chill narrator that doesn't overhype the subject.
He’s so good and chill I love the narrator
As a proud resident of the Inland Northwest from Spokane, Washington myself I can confirm that the Flying 🐐 has some of the best 🍕 in my city. I love me some David's 🍕 too. I grew up w/David's 🍕 living right by the Gonzaga University campus, but the Flying 🐐 has 1-upped them, imho.
Throughout the whole video, I was stumped as to who would be named as the Great State of Washington's top pie. Would they go with a West Side chain like Pagliacci's, would they pick a NY style clone, or would they go crazy and shout out the Pizza Pipeline? I haven't been to Flying Goat, but I guess I've got my dinner plans set for my next trip out your way.
Makes you want to go on a 50-state tour with a delicious pizza as your carrot🍕

Antico gets the publicity here in Georgia, but my favorite is from a chain in the north Atlanta suburbs called Peace, Love and Pizza. I'll also recommend Modena Ristorante Vinoteca in west Cobb. P. S. I'm a native-born New Yorker.....
Yes!! Jockamo’s is some of the best pizza ever. I try to get it every time I go home. ♥️
I tried it. Highly overrated. Best pizzas I've had in the state are Bazbeaux in Indy and Mother Bear's pizza in Bloomington.
I would have thought Colorados was Beau Jo's. I have never even heard of the place that they named.
Come on man! There's only one place synonymous with Colorado style pizza and that's Beau Joe's. The mountain pies are what everyone must try.
I’m surprised they messed this one up so bad. Never even heard of the one they listed.
Yes, agreed!!! Not having Beau Jo's for Colorado's best pizza on a list like this should be a crime, lol.
calling pizzas "tomato pies" should be a crime
Tomato pie and pizza are two different things entirely no idea why they put a tomato pie in this list for PA

How many videos of food are you guys going to pick KC as the go to place for Missouri? Never even heard of grinders
When people realize there is more then LA in California 🤯😱😱
yes Jovan
I'm from Austin, and Home Slice is good, but Serious Pizza in Dallas or Via 313 in Austin are better choices imo
New york: how can you decide
Great video, but I hate that you guys just skimmed over North Carolina. The restaurant I would have chosen for the state would have been Cugino Forno. They get their ingredients imported from Sicily every week and will actually close the store if they run out of inventory. Insanely good pizza.
I was wondering who you would go with for Illinois. Malnati’s is great, but I prefer Giordano’s.
I just knew that the choice for Michigan would be Buddy’s as soon as I clicked on this video. Iconic, sure, but Loui’s is better. I said what I said.
1:38 that is the saddest delicious i have ever heard! 😂
Hello Maya
I feel like the omission of Imo's and St. Louis-style pizza for Missouri borders on egregious disrespect. Or perhaps I am just biased.
yes pure ignorance . probably got paid off by grinders or whatever the heck that is .
Never been to grinders but whenever I’m in STL I always make time for a trip to Imo’s. And Pappy’s bbq.
I LOVE ALL THESE PIZZAS!!!

I just love pizza with great sweet sauce, pepperoni and cheese with jalapeños peppers. The crust must be right and homemade

The New Mexico and Texas picks are definitely spot on, both places are amazing
Yes amazing
In chattanooga theres a place called Lupi's. it's amazing. you should go there if u are ever in chatt
NY style isn't a scam anymore than wood fired pizza or deep dish pizza or stuffed crust pizza is a scam. It's a "style."
