Hey! how much was the retail price on this piece back in 2014? Curious because it's being re-issued again and I'm going to get it. It's on Sideshow now for preorder.
I couldn't remember what I paid in 2014 and was thinking it was about $150, but I mention $250 at the end of the video, so I guess that was the going price back then. I've gone ahead and edited my video description to reflect that detail just in case someone else will ask me again in another 5 years..! LOL! Was surprised to see the reissue is going for $325, so I guess what I paid 5 years ago wasn't too bad. I think I got a discount on it too from what I recall, so a bit better for me. But it's a great piece and well worth it, even with the new price point for today's market! I just hope to be able to get a nice life sized Stripe someday to go with him! ;)
Tell me about it! I've wanted a nice 1:1 scale realistic Gizmo for the longest time! I missed the first Medicom release and that version has gone on to double or triple in price! Glad to score this new version which is even nicer with more extra goodies too!
Yup, I did finally get him and I love him! Finally, a really nice looking 1:1 scale Gizmo in the collection at a fair price! Like you mentioned, I'm pretty much broke till the end of the month. Worried that some other preorders will still be arriving too...! Man of Steel, The Crow, etc..! Of course you already have them though! LOL! And don't forget, I'm holding these Alien figures for you! ;)

HI emarae. Great video! Gizmo has always been my favorite Gremlin and I got this figure today. The thing is I got him in pieces, and with his hair taken off. I got it from a friend that was going to customize him. So now I have to put him back together. I'm hoping I can do it right! I've always wanted a great looking 1:1 scale Gizmo, and this one looks like the best one. I hope I can get mine together to look like yours!

Sorry, I had no idea the prices have already gone up so much! Wow! I bought mine when it was first released and it was only under $300 I think. I can't believe it's already that expensive..! These items are typically limited editions, so once they're gone, I suppose they're gone. I know they previously made another version of this, so this was my 2nd chance at it and I didn't pass it up this time. Perhaps they'll do a 3rd version release in the future?

Yeah, they are pretty expensive, but compared to custom made replicas that I've seen, this is a bargain in my opinion, even better than many of those customs I've seen! I think I mention it in the video that some are well over $1,000 which was always out of my range!

I think he's worth it. I've been after a 1:1 replica of Gizmo for a long time, and custom made versions that don't even look as nice have sold for easily in the $1,000 range, so I'm good with what I spent on mine and I think he looks amazing. You can customize him I suppose if you're not happy with the hair length, but I don't want to touch him! ;)

Gremlins is a classic now! Was really cool back in the day, but it's now a bit dated! I guess they're gonna do a remake, so we'll see how that one turns out! Oh boy..!
I love gizmo and I really want that prop I would play with it every day + I already have my own gizmo toy and it squeaks when you shake it, p.s loved your vid

I haven't checked the current prices, but I would imagine it has gone up since I bought mine and posted this video. I think I paid about $300 for mine, but I don't recall exactly anymore. Maybe a bit less, but $335 sounds good to me. I'd grab him up before it's too late! ;)

Mine seems to have a defect.. the right eye fur is shaved shorter than the left. Has anyone had this issue as well?

Nothing like old animatronic /puppet work ..the CG work will never make it feel or look the same just as long as they don't screw it up...
