He was of my mother's generation so he was always a part of my life.
I was "too cool" in my youth to listen to the same music she did.
I fell in love with him later in life and have not looked back.
His life journey was fascinating as was his talent and uniqueness as a
man.
I grew up in the 1960's and 70's. I never appreciated Elvis when he was alive either. I was all about "mushy love songs and "Donny Osmond and the Osmond Brothers"...(yep👀🤷♀️)and missed it all. I actually bought my first Elvis album after he died...called "Burning Love". My grandparents had all Elvis's albums, so I was exposed to his genius. I just never paid attention then. I definitely appreciate him so much now.
Elvis presley possessed a chameleon voice.
He was an amazing artist with soul depth and diversity.

Robert mitchum wanted Elvis to be in that but he had to turn down the role because of the colonel I wonder sometimes how many more great things artistically Elvis could have done with a better manager have a great day thank you 👍🏼✋😆

How Great Thou Art, Amazing Grace, You'll Never Walk Alone, Peace in the Valley. He made hound dogs popular he made teddy bears popular. Do teddy bear in '57 out of the movie loving you. Whatever he did it was great, even other artists songs he covered that are perfect to begin with, Elvis could record them & always do them justice and make them his own, a beautiful song and as usual extra powerful when the king is telling it....

Shawn and Mel Elvis Presley recorded this song a cover from Simon & Garfunkel in the 70s once Simon heard that Elvis's version he said I can't top that there's so many songs that he covered Elvis was not a songwriter so therefore people either had to ride him songs like Mac Davis wrote In the Ghetto don't cry daddy a couple other songs for him he owns the rights to Are You Lonesome Tonight he has some partial credits on some songs but just like when he started out with rock and roll he was having to cover songs by Little Richard Fats Domino some of the early Black Rock and Roll singers it's where he got the reputation of stealing music Elvis didn't steal anything there copyright sandwich once you get the permission to cover a person song then that person gets money right from your sales and once Elvis covers a song it is fast it is bigger than the original hit it's like him and Tom Jones both have a version of I Can't Stop Loving You I believe is a and I'm not sure there's so many I Know You've Lost That Loving Feeling belongs to the Righteous Brothers Elvis covered my I liked his cover better so does Bill the main singer and then on his final performance he covered Unchained Melody which was also a Righteous Brothers song but I hate to watch that last concert from 1977 CBS concert it was put together from two different shows that Elvis was sick and both of those shows so it's kind of heartbreaking to watch him stumble and Mumble to his words and that last thing but still his voice Wes what's the word infallible the 1972 version of How Great Thou Art is good but the 1977 which breaks my heart and watching sing it knowing that will be the last time he thinks it he sings it with such power that you almost in your heart new did Elvis knew his time was near you should try some of his gospel like How Great Thou Art his hand in mine my Jesus knows and believe me UA-camrs like his gospel songs they take you sounds rather take you to church Elvis has 605 songs in his catalog according to Google and they could be more there's 29 motion pictures that you can pull clips from for certain songs like Jailhouse Rock a lot of different sounds that come from all these 29 movies that should actually been put out on a a b side CD I think back then we just called him 45 RPM records Elvis passed before the technology age wish you could have been here so we could have a lot of videos on him mostly I wished he was sitting on the front porch of Graceland in his rocking chair Still rocking AKA Elvis Junkie

Its true guys i also stumbled on him and couldnt stop listening to him. His amaizing. Genuine soul. He gave away so much too. Something like 20 limos jewellery and rings to fans. Was same on and off stage. Really was an Angelic souls.

The song called “daddy don’t cry” Elvis’s daughter Lisa put her voice in with her dad singing making it a duet. If he was alive, I do think he would made duet songs with his daughter. She has few more remix songs with her voice with her dad singing.
