The only thing that gives me comfort...my dad used to say “Elvis died young, but he lived more and did more in his short life than most people can ever dream of”
This breaks my heart. Elvis clearly was in trouble but he had committed to shows and never wanted to disappoint his fans. He died way too soon. A talent like no other. ❤️
I have Sirius XM radio in my car. One single station programmed in. Elvis radio. It’s my serenity. My happiness. My shield from worldly chaos.
He was so ill that it hurts my heart to think of it. But still...his voice. That gift from God...was always there.
I dont care how many times I watch this one it makes me cry. RIP ELVIS.❤
Hey Jerri this song is so beautiful. Elvis did an awesome job😀💜
It hurts watching this performance. He is so sick, he performs it with such love and passion and soul. Such a powerful, moving moment, because he knew. As was once said by Joe Esposito... “until the end, His voice never failed him.” 💙
Hey Tonya even at the worst time in his life he is still so beautiful
Shawn and Mel yes he most certainly is. That heart of platinum illuminates the room and comes through his voice. 💙
That's when you know how good he was, though I'll, he gave his all. That beautiful voice, unchained Melody very touching. It was almost like he knew something. Play hurt, and how great thou art, you will see the power in hi a voice. And I love you so.
Elvis is the most handsome man ever. His voice melts my heart.
Elvis. Gave. Everything. He. Had. To. Give. Even. To. The. End. Thanks. For. Sharing. This.
Yes he did denn4u thank you for your comment
Look at the man play that piano. Many have said he could have sung opera, & it shows in this performance. He could sing anything. Last performance, & the tears still flow, 45 yrs. later. Watching this reaction on 8/16/22 - the anniversary of his death. Long live "The King".
His voice never failed him, sadly the people around him did. I am so thankful to have grown up in the 70’s and 80’s. Elvis is the King
Still had it even when he was bad health
It gave it all to his fan
Elvis presley voice was so touching s Emotional. He was also a Gorgeous man. He had it all in Spades.
You can feel his songs
Hey Destiny yes you can Sis💜 Thank you so much for watching💜💜
As a fan .I cried .we judt didnt realize how sick elvis was .but he gave his all .
that song sends a cold feeling with such a powerful voice keep playing them
Hey Mick thank you so much for watching 💜
42 is no age to pass away,it’s sad to watch but he gave his all and his voice was still amazing, thank you for reacting to this and I hope there’s plenty more Elvis to come because he is the greatest of all time and always will be.
Thank you so much for your comment Mike💜 42 is way too young to die😔
Or 40 in the case of Lennon.
He was very short of breath at this time in concert( he had many health issues glaucoma, asthma, hypertension, twisted Mega Colon that causes ALOT of pain( I'm an RN) They asked him if he would like to cut the concert short n he said" the show must go on for my Fans"He died 6 weeks after this beautiful concert. There will never be another Elvis. God broke the mold
Hey Susan God bless his soul. Thank you so much for watching 💜😀
Elvis presley sung from heart soul I believe he was a very good person
Elvis "HEARTBREAK HOTEL" on Stage Show - March 17, 1956
As Joe Esposito said: “Elvis’s incredible voice never failed him!” As sad as it to watch it’s still highly important!
Can you imagine being as ill as he was and giving a performance like that?!? No one else can touch the talent, love and charisma this man had. I love watching the two of you discover and fall I love with Elvis!
List to Hurt. It will bring you to tears.
Actually, this wasn’t his last live performed song. It was “I can’t help falling in love with you”. Indianapolis June 26, 1977.
Thank you so much for informing us😀💜
And the last time he performed Unchained Melody was during the pen-ultimate show in Cincinnati, June 25th. 1977.
This was he last live RECORDED performance. He would pass away just a couple months after this performance. After his last show on this particular tour, he planned to take a 8 week break, then start another tour. The tour dates were already sold out. he passed away before the tour started, and people who had bought tickets to his next show were offered refunds from the booking company ... not one person submitted their tickets for refund. To them they were worth more than gold.
Makes sense his last live song would be the one he always ends shows with...and since doing this recorded show, he surely did more shows that included this hit..
Exactly what I was coming here to say. I saw the thumbnail with the incorrect information and had to comment on it.
Even during his darkest times his voice never failed him, the good Lord was showing off the day He created Elvis, the King of Cool
Gives my body chills every single time
Elvis was the best
I don't know if you ever been to his home Graceland in Memphis Tennessee but i know you both would love it, you tour his home an his grave an the museums with his cars an clothes an his personal stuff it makes you feel like your stepping back in time when you walk through his house it's left how he left it in 1977, it's so beautiful an Mel i know you will feel his presents there

Hey AB thank you so much for watching Fam. God bless you 😀🙏💜
Elvis presley was a very sad lonely heartbroken man ,,,,,, people used him hurt a betrayed him but he still kept his cool a forgave them prayed for God to give him strength a show him just where he fitted into God's plan for him. I believe God called his child home.
Very sad but what a voice Elvis had singing his heart out right near the end. Got to give a shout out to Blacc Elvis.
@Norma Vandever That Elvis wannabe?
Elvis was the real deal. He could do anything and he blew me away with this performance 😀
Elvis's voice just got better and better despite his health.
So magnificient but tragic at the same time. Thank you so much and stay safe. xx
Hey Vivien thank you so much for watching. The Elvis takeover continues 💜😀
His talent to the end, his courage to the end, his legacy too the end.
Just weeks from death here it is so sad..I think he knew his time was near over here.
Wow it’s so sad to lose such a beautiful human
Thanks for the video friends. It shows Elvis amasing talent until the end. Sad he died because he turned into opera
****sheer power***** on those vocals. It's like someone just flips a switch, and then all this vocal power is set loose.
Wow Su Su you are so right 💜😀
I saw Elvis in Odessa, Texas. 10 months before he passed. I was n 3rd grade. Tickets were $6.50, LOL! He still put on a '10' n concert. Tis this day. The only artist NOT to have an opening act. He had a comedian from Las Vegas warm up. When he passed. YES, THE WORLD STOPPED!!! I cried, it was CRAZY! Princess Di, Dale Earnhardt, Michael Jackson and Prince passing. DOESN'T EVEN COMPARE!!! Elvis set the bar and NO ONE will EVER reach it!!! Girls/women from 8yrs to 78yrs were crying and screaming. Still have my ticket. My first 2 concerts were Elvis, then Van Halen warming up for Black Sabbath,....BEAT THAT!!! I'm dropping the mic, LMVHLAO!
He was hardly able to talk but he could still sing. He was dying but still putting his all into his music.
Love you guys! been a fan since 60's.
Try 68 comeback guy's.
Hey Gary we love you too. Thank you for your comments💜
Not easy for us Presley lovers... he use to sing this to his daughter Lisa late at night... Even out of shape, breathless, Presley's great talent transcends..
It always makes me cry to know it was his last performance but his voice was just amazing love you both for showing this clip and your reaction and the respect you show for Elvis and proving it by having a whole month of the goat himself stay safe both 😷✌💖
The live version of Just Pretend by Elvis is a great song to react to. Also Tomorrow Never Comes the studio track. Both are powerful vocal performances. You've Lost That Lovin feeling by Elvis is also another great performance.
Great songs!
Great requests! 👍🏻
Hey Mike thank you so much for your request. We will put them on the list💜😀
@@ShawnandMel4Life 👍
As sick as he was,he put such tremendous effort into it! He never wanted to disappoint his fans! That show was really a challenge and you could see him struggling. Any other performer would've cancelled, but not Elvis! You'll never find another
as dedicated to their fans Before or since Elvis!
Watching this again!!!! Another WOW moment with the KING!!! WOW!!!!
When Elvis’s wife left him is when he lost himself and went down the wrong path but through it all he never ever lost his love for his music and that shows in his performances. I absolutely love him and all his music and always will.
Thank you so much for keeping his memory alive!
Hey Scott, thank you for helping and caring about the memory a such a great man💜😀
You said it. We all felt he was singing just to us. He went home to his mom and God.
Hi Shawn & Mel😁 yes mel he was singing to me too❤This makes me cry everytime i watch this, knowing it was the last time he ever Performed😢😢We Lost The Greatest Man Ever Not Only For His Voice But For The Beautiful Soul He Was R.I P Elvis🙏i hope you are coping well with all your Family Issues Mel🤞God Bless you both🙏 love from EnglandXx
Hey Jan, thank you so much for your comment. Elvis will live in our hearts forever 😀
This was so bittersweet knowing he’d be gone in several weeks. Sad but beautiful. So sick but still giving his all.
That was some Opera type singing(total compliment) right there!
😭 every single time. But he gave his all. All the time.
Hey Kelly yes he did💜
Great song great voice. Elvis is the man
Imagine how he sounds in heaven. I bet he sings a solo at least every day to our Father and Jesus in praise.
He knew that the end was near!
Everyone says this was his last performance but actually he had another concert on June 26th 1977 and died 4 weeks later... his voice was beautiful up until the very end as sick as he was he still had an amazing voice and gave a fantastic performance... so sad he died so young..I was 6 yrs old when he dies my mom was a huge elvis fan and played his music all the time so I grew up loving elvis at about early age
His last concert was 26 th june77 this was a few days before!! E P had a few health problems twisted colon ! Glaucoma in one eye!! He took a lot of pills uppers n downers !! N others .. all started in the army in 58 !! I believe he went downhill in 73 after his divorce !! To many aventshappened .. overdoses etc hospitilized twice!! This is an amazzinggg performance!! It's bitter sweet to watch!! 👑Of🎼
Wow J RC thank you for the information 🙂

Such a powerful voice
Elvis always had a smile for us.Elvis was in bad health at this time. All the years on the road ,the prescription drugs etc..this is the most sad video I've ever seen!..but through it all til his last breath his voice never failed him!RIP sweet music man!..love you forever!
Can you believe he was a few weeks away from unfortunately taking his last breath on this earth and he goes out and gives the world this performance. Also you know why he had that huge grin on his face at the end of the song, because he just knew he just killed it
I love this song and performance.... Great reaction...
Whenever Elvis sings give me chills
The poor man everything gone except for his voice I hope we’re ever he is now he’s at peace love him 👑👑👑👑👑🇬🇧👍💖
I loved his soulfulness ❤️
That wasn’t actually his last performance, it was on June 21, his last was June 26. Lest than 2 months later he was gone. He was amazing
Wow thank you so much for the Correction 💜🙏
I think what they meant was that it was his last performance as in his last concert performance.
This was the last televised performance that an audience would see that wasn't there in person....i.e. the last time he "publicly" performed and the world had a chance to see him.
@@TheLwaller09 word it any way you want, but it was NOT his last concert
I still remember what I was doing and when I heard. I just was shocked. Many tears fell
I shed a tear every time I see this. He gave all he had and was in such bad shape.
YOU KNOW IM HERE FOR IT!
Hey Fam thank you so much. We truly appreciate you and Wifey😀
If you would like to hear the true honest gifted voice of Elvis, please react to (How great thou art). his Last performance in 1977 and you will hear the true blessing. God had given this man.
We can see from this concert and performance how much Elvis changed compared to his glory days of years earlier. Even though his health was declining there is one thing never left him. His powerful voice and ability to perform and entertain. Elvis was still the best right up to the end of his career. I really enjoyed your awesome reaction. You are right, this is a beautiful song. I would like to suggest ' Bridge Over Troubled Water ' live performance from 1970 or 1972.
Watching from Newfoundland, Canada and I love Elvis and I adore you both and your beautiful reactions to him!!!!
Breaks my heart every time!
I have heard that he was lying on a couch minutes before the concert sick as a dog and they begged him not to perform. But there was no way he was going to let his fans down... There will never be another performer like him...
Elvis did this performance June 77 but it wasn’t shown on tv til Oct 77 2 months after he died. It was so hard to watch, we all cried thru the entire show. Some of his family and friends were so upset with the colonel for allowing it to air showing Elvis so sick. Jerry Schilling (one of his best friends and body guard) , after seeing this called the colonel and told the colonel off for agreeing for this show to be seen. Linda Thompson (his live in girlfriend 72-late 76) said she was horrified to see him. “Not the same man I last saw 8 months before the performance”. He was hurting so bad, body and soul and it shows. Just wish so much that it had ended differently for him. We all kept taking his love and caring and demanded more until there was nothing more to give and he numbed himself trying to ease the pain of it all. Loved you since 1955 and I still miss you E.
His voice was one of a kind
I can't believe people still dislike that man .....
So strong emotions from Elvis to us! He was very ill but still amazing!
Guys please listen to Elvis Presley" way down" this is a gem his gospel roots show here
I like your positivity about the video his voice never failed him but I dont like seeing him that way it's such a tragedy
Could I make a suggestion.. do love me tender the 68 special where he is wearing the black leather
Always think it’s a shame that this performance is requested so shortly after new people start getting interested in Elvis. Lots of great songs by Elvis to react to as well as footage where he is in better health. His voice may still be good but it’s just so sad to see the physical decline.
This makes me so sad. Thank you so much for watching and celebrating Elvis💜😀
Not his last performance it was his last tour. The last time performing this song. “ Unchained Melody”!! He had 2 more shows after this one.. His health was failing him then. He was great until the end.
Always & Forever, “Elvis” !!
This was his last performance and I was suppose to see him in Ny.Elvis was tired. He gave us his ALL ❤️💕
Hey Ruthann, This breaks my heart. We love Elvis and wish we could’ve seen him live❤️❤️
You are the best Elvis Reaction I have come across. Lovely sexy couple. Keep listening to his love and gospel songs. Believe me it will keep your love and faith in each other. he was a ladies man, but his music is so uplifting and loving. Still here 2021 for us to enjoy.☮️
Thank you for the reaction. 😊💚 I Love Elvis’s version of this song. ☺️ 🎶🕺🏻
Can’t believe he is only 42 years old here I am 56 still feel in my mid 30s
This song proves he never lost the power in his voice at the end.
Thank you so much Shawn, and Mel,🙋 the 👑of music never lost his voice, he was so sick and still did it for the fans,Rip Elvis we ❤ u 💯⚡ TCBTLC⚡ 🇺🇸🇵🇷☝👍❤u👑
What I always like to say is God was showing off when he gave us Elvis Presley! Selena Perez is another one!
Thank you for reacting to this. Up until the end Elvis gave it his all.
Hey Diane, he gave it everything he had. 💜💜
Thank you for calling him the GOAT! He was. I'm not much into the afterlife but I hope he see's people like you and I discovering and in my case rediscovering him!!! P.s. just because June will end doesn't mean E has to!

He was asked before he went on stage if he wanted to cancel
or reschedule .He said no he wanted
to perform for his fans.....to me he was
Wonderful from the first time I heard him
sing until his last performance....and
today.Nothing has
changed for me.
He is gone but his
memory and the
love for him remains
strong.
Wow Suzy thank you for the information. Elvis was the goat💜😀
Can you imagine performing like that when he was practically at death’s door?! Two weeks later he would leave us. One of the saddest days ever.....
Review Elvis' love song HOW THE WEB WAS WOVEN (Video version with him @ the Piano)
Hey Steven thank you so much for the suggestion 💜😀
@@ShawnandMel4Life AnyTime👍
