"Everybody needs a little bit of Elvis Presley in their lives." That's the truest statement I've ever heard. Listening to Elvis has made me a better man.
The man was just impressive at every junction of his life. He had powerful lungs to hit those notes. Fact: at a concert he took off a ring and gave it to a little girl in the audience in a wheelchair. His security saw it and walked up to her mother and told her to watch she didn't lose it because it was a $30,000 ring. He did these types of things regularly.
Fun fact: Elvis loved opera. He later in his career included more opera quality notes in his songs. You can see in this song how powerful his voice is. 💗
I'm 54 yrs. Old been listening to E since literally the crib from my parents. You haven't even scratch the surface of this journey even his Christmas albums are amazing but highly suggest his gospel. I watched this special he was the very FIRST person to be seen around the world by satellite. My Dad let me stay up late on a school night to watch
I was in the audience twice in Baton Rouge and once in Mobile from 1975-1977, and saw him perform this song live in all three concerts. His delivery was just as effortless and powerful as this, and you could feel the whole arena tremble around you each time when he hit those notes.
Love this song. Everytime I hear him hit the first note on that chorus, I get the chills. You can tell by his eyes on the second part of the song that he truly and emotionally connects with it. Elvis will forever be the one and only KING of rock.
The first part was too because, when Gladys ( his Mom ) died, Vernon ( his Dad ) blamed Elvis and, when Vernon had a heart attack, he blamed Elvis! That's why he loved that song, it was his life through and, through!
Thank you guys so much god bless you always 🙏 amen thanks for your reaction to the 👑of music ❤ 💯⚡ TCBTLC ⚡ 🇺🇸🇵🇷☝👍🙋 stay healthy and safe and careful 🤒🤕and your family family,🌹🎸🎶🎼🎤
You have just seen why Elvis is the King, and the GOAT. Let me know who can compare with such professionalism and charisma? They don't make singers like this any longer, and one can count on one hand how many since music began to be recorded.
He’s a beautiful person.. He can sing any song !! Such love & humility from Elvis.. Every time he sings he touches lives.. Never made a concert but I was listening to him on radio when he made his first record. Yes I’m an oldie..
Amazing performance from Elvis he sang it with so much passion n emotion all I know the ring was an 8 carat diamond no idea of the cost What now my love is another great one thank you both stay safe 😷✌
Elvis presley was the greatest singer a Entertainer that ever lived in the 20 th century. Loved Elvis Presley ever since king creole. I grew up on him a his music a movies. Nobody can sing like this beautiful emotional gorgeous man.
I agree Sandy. The KING always lifted my spirits when I was low. He has owned my heart for most of my life! The only Sad devastating day he ever gave me and his throngs of fans was August 16,1977 RIP GODS SPEED ELVIS.
To this day there are still songs of Elvis's that can't be duplicated, even by ETA's. They just can't hit those high notes like he can. Not to mention no artist out there today can hit that high note with out the use of a synthesizer. ELVIS ROCK ON!!!
Wonderful, thank you for that.. one of my favourite 70’s Elvis song. I know a couple that were at that concert back in January of 73..the money raised at that concert went to the Kui Lee cancer fund
This song was first recorded by Frankie Laine in 1968 and was written by country singer/NASCAR driver Marty Robbins, who was a friend of Elvis. Elvis never recorded a studio version of this song, but it became a regular part of his live shows. I never heard him sing a bad version of it, and it became one of his favorite songs.
@@ShawnandMel4Life Hi would love to hear the official duet video he did with Lisa Marie for where no one stands alone. or what now my love from the aloha show. Great channel always look forward to watching it.
I would suggest after each song that you listen to the audience applaud because that's part of the show in the greatest that impacts the viewer watching you react!
Please react to How Great thou Art from his very last concert in 1977 that was televised it is so anointing an from the heart an soul it will bring tears to your eyes. Thank you👍💜💙
The Aloha Hawaii special was beam from Via Satellite in 1973. This is the first time it's ever been done back then. A lot of money went in to this and they were'n't sure it was going to work. There was a back up plain if it didn't. It was shown all over the world live. One billion. He did a rehearsal concert the night before and it was free. The big night there was no set price it was up to the concert goers to contribute. The money went to some cancer fund and Elvis of course contribute Another milestone for Elvis
What Now my love is another great song from the same concert. But be prepared to be blown away. It's Over and My Way, I' m so lonesome I could cry all from the same concert.
I remember whole family around our little 16 inche tv watching this show! First time I ever saw my father tapping his foot to a beat! Saw me watching him! Quickly stopped! But gave me one of his little grins he was famous for!😏 thank you. for this wonderful memory !💕
Marty Robbins wrote and recorded the song. It became the last hit for Frankie Laine in 1969. When Elvis spoke of the song he always referenced Frankie Laine. The musical voice of Elvis was so powerful and under control.
You feel every word when he sings just like he does. He was and is a true American Icon. He changed music and if he stayed healthy and lived a long healthy life he would of changed the world. LETS GO WAY BACK AND LISTEN TO ELVIS SING OLD SHEP. HE SANG ITBAT A COUNTY FAIR WHEN HEBWAS LIKE 10 YEARS OLD AND CAME IN 5TH PLACE. MUCH LOVE FROM JOEY FROM NYC
I think Elvis did change the world during his too short life. We asre still listening to him and discussing him almost 43 years after his death and he is STILL gaining fans from the younger generation.
Actually, he did it! music is part of culture and culture is part of society, he changed with his music, his performances and his movies, his style, his speech and his presence, changed the way people look, think and live. Extensive changes in the attitudes of young people and the creation of great bands and singers in the 1960s and 1970s were the result of the cultural revolution that Elvis created in the 1950s, he did what he had to do.
This is one of Elvis' shining moments of his career. This is a powerful song and powerful performance. His vocals were so full of passion and emotion. No other artist could follow a performance like that. Like you said in your comment, here is proof that Elvis is the G.O.A.T. I love your exciting reaction.. You even gave this a standing ovation. I knew you would love this song, that's why I requested it. I'm glad you did a video on this song. I enjoyed watching this one.

Aside from the songs from the '50's-'60's, i.e. hound dog, blue suede shoes, etc...fans demanded he perform them, so he did them but in a rather fast abbreviated fashion. The '70's marked a time when the music he wanted to perform reflected what was going on in his life & what he reached to for strength. That's why I love this part of his career the most, because it basically came full circle & you got to see the human being behind the image. As for that particular ring on his left hand, he paid approx. $40-45k BACK THEN. It was auctioned off in New York some time ago for $205k. It had a 10.5 caret center diamond , surrounded by 11 more smaller full diamonds making the horseshoe design on top of a solid gold backing. PEACE!
That is one you need to watch the whole concert. It was the first ever broadcast that was shown around the world at the same time. Elvis had a lot of first in his lifetime. Elvis' vocal range was E-Bb5.
Elvis was going through some personal struggles with his marriage about this time. This is about the same time he recorded “Always On My Mind” and “Separate Ways”, which was written by his long-time friend and body guard, Red West. This is the era where he really started using his music for himself, so he could try to heal. His music healed so many peoples lives, but it couldn’t heal his. Long live the king.

Singing was a calling for Elvis his voice was always silky smooth
Great reaction please listen to make the world go away by Elvis one day you won't regret it I promise
Elvis presley could sing any song better then the orginal artist. Because he made it fit him a how he was truly feeling. You can't fake that.
Elvis got his fress, style and music from the black gospel church. Elvis didn't see color. The King
Elvis was a total prisoner of his own fame for 20 years.
Did u see that passion in his face and body movements! Faultless! He’s the Super Man!
On top of all his other talents, Elvis was an entertainer. He knew exactly how to please his audience.

No one comes close to him. A lot of people sing nobody sang from the heart and lived each song they sang like elvis
