The whispered "No. Christopher is dead." is one of the most haunting things I've ever heard, maybe THE most haunting. Made even more haunting by the fact that Christopher could have very likely heard him say that and known he wasn't making it out alive. I got hit with a second wave of dread when it clicked that this was REAL. Like, you'd expect audio like that to come from movies. Gonna keep me up tonight.

And knowing the wife with their small daughter was upstairs the whole time praying it wasn't her husband that had been shot. I can't even begin to imagine. My heart breaks for her and their children as well as the rest of their loved ones. He looked like such a great loving father in the way he held his daughter in that photo just beaming With pride. At least for once the 911 operator kicked a$$ and didn't hesitate to calmly try to calm him down and try to distract him until the police could get there. My doors are always locked, since I had a break-in while I was home. Thank God the man either was on something or had a mental handicap because all he kept saying was stuff in Spanish I couldn't understand in a non-threatening manner and trying to get me to go to Mexico with him. Just asking me to go not forcing me. But since then, I've always had a dog, the doors always remain locked, and my best friend Mr. Ruger is always right next to me. It could have been way worse. The police never ended up finding him (as I was on with 911 and he was in my kitchen with the back door open my cat was about to go out the door. After pleading with him I charged at him, being short I shouldered him in the gut and knocked him out the door slamming it and locking it) but they found someone matching the description and he had a warrant for something very bad he did so at least we got one bad guy off the streets. Sadly, that wouldn't be the last. Another time someone broke into the main house when my daughter and I were cleaning our camper. But the real reason for my best friend is that restraining orders aren't bulletproof. My ex-husband and father of my 2 girls held a gun to my head and tried to shoot me in front of our 5-year-old daughter. When the cops arrested him we grabbed the essentials and left. However, this is the most dangerous time, they haven't had their trial they are free and they are mad. Not only did I get away but in his eyes I got him in trouble so I needed to pay. I got a restraining order for the girls and me but he would sit just outside the radius and watch us. The insane part is he would drive 4 hours each way down and back just to do this to me. Sorry so long but that is why I carry. PTSD is a witch with a capital B! Take care and stay safe my friend it could happen to anyone! 😊❤

The image provided of Joanna Lopez is especially freaky because of just how poor quality the picture is. Obviously, it looks creepy on its own, but the fact that it's being used to identify someone who is missing makes it so much weirder. If you saw that broadcast, and then saw Joanna that same day, could you even recognize it was her? The face is so obscured, there's almost no detail at all, it makes me wonder who took that image and with what device. How did it turn out looking like that? And was it really the best image available of her face?

I have some updates regarding the Joanna Lopez case. The report was made anonymously and the Tv station was told by the anonymous caller that they'd call back for more info but never did. The photo is in bad quality because its been Photo-copied and the girl is said to be wearing heavy make up and large classes. Last year a women was contacted named Joanna Lopez who confirmed she had gone missing in 1989 and was freaked out by how the caller knew all this info. But unfortunately all contact with this caller was ended. So not much info after that was found. It is now asumed Joanna Lopez is safe considering the women who was called matched up with all the info we've gathered of the girl in the missing photo.

Liminal spaces coming to light scares most people but it makes me cry because I'm autistic and have experienced this uncanny feeling a lot throughout childhood without ever being able to name or describe it. This endless place, that feels like people have lived in but is now empty forever. I remember going to some trip with my aunt when I was 5 and I started crying because I had a meltdown and the trip felt like a giant liminal space with a green field and wind turbines next to the high way. It's so beautiful to see how I can finally put these sensations that have tortured me into words. It makes me feel human and understood. I can't wait for the Internet to dive deeper into these sort of weird emotions we usually never speak of

oh my god, i’m autistic as well and i think you’ve captured the feeling perfectly. i never realised this might be the reason for why i feel the way i do about liminal spaces. personally i find them eerily comforting, like i could exist in them on my own and feel like a part of the environment around me without fearing judgement from other people. on the other hand, what scares me is the possibility that someone is there, and i’ve been vulnerable and unmasked and open to judgement the entire time without knowing. anyway i just came to that realisation and thought i’d share my two cents as someone else with autism. we’ll feel at home with the world one day, i know it :)

It was sad honestly. The narrator would give their names, date when there were last seen, valuable information on how to identify them and all manner of phones and contact information. Sometimes there were up to 3-4 people announced in a row. Most of them were either very old people, young women or kids.
The kids announcement was heart breaking and if you happened to be outside in a restaurant or a place with a lot of people watching the broadcast, many adults prayed under their breath that there would be no missing kids in the announcement.

If their is any grain of truth to the Selene Delgado urban legend, it might be that the image is, rather than being a fake image of a fake person, a drawn image of a real person. It could explain the supposedly "default" appearance that matched with the other images in the video, many of which just so happened to be uncanny reconstructions of people's faces. These images are designed to highlight certain distinctive features of a face without regard for aesthetics or even realism, in the hopes that said feature (along with the attention grabbing appearance) would catch the notice of people who knew/saw the subject. These are usually used in unidentified persons cases rather than missing persons cases (reconstructing a living appearance from an unknown corpse), but if nobody had pictures of Selene the police might have made a reconstruction based on descriptions. If Selene was homeless or otherwise off the grid, its not impossible that nobody had pictures of her to send out to the media.

@@jelliekitty The sketch is of Derrick Todd Lee, the Baton Rouge serial killer.
Also, that's not how it works. Any face can be mashed up with any other human face if you distort it slightly. Due to the poor quality of the sketch, that makes it even easier: Selene's sketch has little boundaries to define well her face, so you can easily fit in any other form resembling a head in it. I agree with Lukas here, because the face looks incredibly simple even to be AI-generated; it could easily be a hand-drawn sketch.

There's obviously a ton of differences between the two cases but there are similarities as well, with the main one simply being that their "missing" photo was broadcasted on public television a very long time ago with a total lack of any vital/important information. Unfortunately, I don't feel like either women were ultimately found, nor do I think they ever will be, and I highly doubt we'll know either way.

The “Selene Delgado” story is quite a sad one. Some people say she is a mashup of facial characteristics of Mexican females. Almost as an tribute or reminder of all the women that weren’t ever reported missing, or were found dead in ditches, or just trafficked.
If she’s real, its sad that she never got closure.
If she is the representation of all the women that go missing or worse, its even sadder that we didnt have all the info of those people and couldn’t do more for them but to mash them up in one in an attempt to find them.

I'm probably remembering wrong but it feels like at the same time came up the kidnapping and murder of tons of women in Juárez, not really sure since that extended for a long period of time.

An intruder can still attack you sure, but your chances of survival are way higher since he doesnt have a gun.

When there's dirt, wear, dust, etc. on a building you know for sure it's abandoned and has been for a long time. When everything is clean, bright, and regulated, though.. It's like there SHOULD be someone there. There has to be someone... Or something.. Maintaining it. Either that, or everyone else left in a hurry very recently... Which begs the question.. Why?

Detectives are using the interview room-don’t interrupt them and let the grandma in when she comes. Then call the Sheriff over the radio and let him know she’s here.” They were there taking statements till probably 1:00 in the morning. I didn’t find out till later from one of the deputies I was good with what had happened. They told me about the “Chris is Dead” hangup too. PSA : If a tornado looks like it is standing still or in one place, it is coming TOWARDS you. Seek shelter immediately. Preferably get underground. If you are unable to, then hunker down in an interior room. A bathroom, pantry, or if you are at a gas station or restaurant that has a walk in freezer, get in there. If anyone lives in tornado prone areas and wants to build a shelter themselves I can help. I built my own for my house in Nebraska for less than $700 and it’s big enough for 6 people comfortably. It’s definitely worth the hard work it takes to dig and construct y’all!! If you need a materials list just reply to this comment and I can send you mine.

@@gorefieldluvr6921 Underground is by far the safest place during a tornado. My homemade little bunker is waterproof and in a piece of my houses lot that doesn’t flood. Just make sure you don’t build a shelter on the low parts of the area.
Going through hurricanes is a different story. Underground is usually the last place you’d want to be because of what you mentioned, flooding. I’m from souther Louisiana and luckily when hurricanes hit we would have a decent amount of time to evacuate. They don’t show up all of a sudden like tornadoes tend to. If you are stuck on a hurricane we were always told to grab mattresses and go to an interior room and brace yourself. I’ve only had to do that once growing up and we went into our hallway. My cousins who lived nearby did the same but went into their bathtub and covered with the mattress.

The Winrock Mall in Albuquerque, NM will forever remain my favorite liminal space. There was one particular spot that I absolutely loved. A bridge connected the food court to the rest of the mall, and at the end of the bridge, just before the food court, was a candy store. It had windows that looked out onto the mall below, and it was absolutely my favorite spot in the entire mall. I wanted to show the mall to my friend and his wife, but we found the mall was mostly closed, with only a couple shops at the end of one arm still open. To quote my friend "welcome to your childhood - it's dead." I still get melancholy thinking about it, knowing that the mall is gone, but remains in my mind, and I will never get to share that spot or my love for it with anyone.

That’s the scariness of it, but I don’t think the image itself is scary, as long as there are people somewhere within reasonable distance. Most of it is intended on having creepy vibes like some playground at night or old abandoned classroom, scenes common in horror movies and stuff.

I think he was delusional and/or paranoid. He also didn't believe the cops were there. I think he probably just thought his life was in danger, and in his paranoid state thought Christopher was also after him. People in that state can be very dangerous, you can be as helpful and nice as possible, if they have the delusion you're also after them, anything you say is wrong and they can just snap.. Maybe he already had mental issues or drugs brought that out of him, idk but I really don't think his life was ever in danger. It's probably drugs otherwise they'd go for an insanity plea. People can be so unpredictable sometimes, it's scary.

@@RookieAssassin I've also met criminals before who will just roll with whatever story they can hoping to sow doubt. If this guy is a repeat offender, it's also possible that he already understands that anything said of him or two him in a 9-1-1 call would come back around to him in court, so he likely already knew that he needed to have *any* sort of excuse for being there, and his lawyer could work with it from there. To me, this seemed like a case where the burglar was caught mid-invasion and simply started going by the seat of his pants and hoping for the best. Granted, this could be wrong, and he could very much be under some sort of influence, but it's also the unsettling reality that completely sane and sober people can still be murderers.
