QUICK NOTE: On July 5th, I was struck with a sudden copyright takedown on the original version of this video due to a short clip utilized in chapter one. For the past two days I've been working to have this resolved amicably on the backend, however the other party and I were unable to reach a suitable resolution. Because this is a reupload, any and all support on this video helps. Whether viewing it again, liking, or commenting, I appreciate any support you all can give🖤 Love yall.
Ahh, the El Reno tornado. For those wondering, they didn’t just misjudge its size simply because it was rain wrapped, it LITERALLY doubled in size in less than a minute, and turned to cut them off at just the correct spot. And to make things even WORSE, it SPED UP. This tornado was an abomination that we had never before seen, and still have yet to see one even remotely like it since then. The rain wrap was actually a part of the tornado, and people didn’t realize it until the “rain wrap” was spinning towards them of at least 55 mph, faster than most could drive away. For decades, not a single storm chaser had lost their life. Well, this monstrosity did not care… It killed 9 storm chasers total. Yes, that is correct, it went from 0, all the way to 9 with a single tornado. I can not recommend researching and watching videos about this tornado enough. It felt supernatural, and as if the tornado was alive and sentient. It is tied for having the highest recorded wind speeds on Earth, clocking in at 302 mph!!
It also turned to the north. It wasn't following a normal path. It was also deceptive. If you were in the rain curtains you were in the main circulation and not just the bears cage. It kept spawning multiple vortexes like a carousel. It was a beast.
As much as I enjoy lost media study, I think we all have to be careful not to fall into a place where we feel entitled to witness a person’s life, especially the worst parts or the end of someone’s life, just because it happened to be recorded. In the tech and Information age we live in, it’s important to draw lines in the sand when it comes to peoples’ rights to privacy and how precious human life is.
@@tylerd1297I watch and listen to a lot of true crime and also missing people, I completely agree with you. A big majority of people are quite disturbing in their comments. This comment which I read yesterday just about sums it up " My weekly dose of serotonin is when you post" This was on a true crime content creators latest video which of course was murder related. Seriously, people get a seratonin boost from other people's horrendous demise? I also recently posted on one of this is monsters videos------ "if there was a happy ending in this video, most people in this comment section would be disappointed" I'm not interested in the gore, I'm interested in the why and how people end up in the life or situation that they do. I know enough about murderer's to understand they do not deserve the weird idolisation of them. I prefer to listen to the life story and know the name of the victim, so what if their life was just normal and 'boring', I think they deserve that little bit of time that you are watching or listening. It's just a little bit of time to reflect on a stranger's life and hope they are at peace. They are who are important and often forgotten.
This is why I hate sites and such dedicated to watching people die or hear their last moments. There is something wrong with you if you enjoy watching someone lose their life or think you’re entitled to see their final moments..
Japanese viewer passing by… apparently another theory for the origin of Jeff surfaced recently, citing the image as a edit of a selfie of a woman called 真理子 (Mariko). The facial outlines and mouth appear to be very similar to that of the first image of Jeff. “Internet idols” were a big thing in the early 2000s Japanese internet, where Japanese women would post selfies on websites for attention and approval; most Japanese forum users, however, would ridicule these people and edit and repost the images into essentially memes. Jeff could be one of these crude edits, and the original image happened to be lost to a deleted forum page.
if I remember correctly, it was a post by a girl with the caption "make me pretty" in 2chan and some people took it seriously and made pretty edits of her and some made her into a meme, first one to emerge was actually the Jeff image 2, the big eyes one, then the fish looking one, then someone took the big eyes one and replaced it with the now famous iris-less/dot eyes and wide smile photo edit: there's also the "make me cute" one which is a photo of the japanese doll that is also turned to a creepypasta, the image is the wide eyes, smiling face with the bob cut and bloody background
you got a few things wrong, meiwes gave him the painkillers & alcohol for cutting off the weewee, not after (who would want to be sober to get their pecker bitten off even if it’s a kink, he gave him the meds so he wouldn’t chicken out from the pain) and when he moved him to the bathtub he didn’t kill him there, he ran him a bath and read a Star Trek novel while brandes was still alive. while checking on him every fifteen minutes to see how he’s doing. then at approx 10pm brandes tried to get out of the bathtub by himself, fell down, meiwes moved him to the bed and they went to sleep. at 5am meiwes stabbed his neck on the bed twice, brandes was by that point barely conscious but breathing. Everything caught on tape: the room wasn’t his bedroom, it was a slaughter room covered in plastic with a single bed and videotape covering everything That’s how he was convicted of murder, that although the night was consensual, the actual killing wasn’t. brandes didn’t say “stab me in the neck” he wasn’t even conscious. but he was breathing, so it was murder
Not related to the video at all, but I genuinely appreciate it so much that you guys put your captions in on your own. The auto generated ones aren't always so great, and as someone with auditory processing disorder, I find it incredibly helpful to have the captions. Your videos are great!
As long as they aren't the fan edited captions. I've grown tired of trying to read CC while the subscriber's "comments" or reactions are added to the dialogue in parentheses. Not everyone wants to read that stuff.

Nexpo has a special way of presenting content that scratches that "morbid curiosity itch" while remaining respectful to those the stories are about. Another great project!
On the cannibal case- 1) The victim may not have been in his right mind to be able to consent to be killed (I would bet that he wasn't) and 2) Society as a whole would benefit by avoiding setting a precedent that would essentially allow a loophole for one person killing another, however slim the chances, in order to both discourage, and avoid encouraging the actions in the future.
I chatted with a man on a gay dating app once who wanted me fo cannibalize him from Florida even willing pay my airfare i told him i eas a vegan and had him reported
About the first point, even if we assume that Meiwes was completely capable of consenting that doesn't change anything: Murder is murder, the consent of the victim is irrelevant.
I mean, if you're response to, "Would you like to be eaten?" is "Yeah buddy!", then you should automatically be assumed to be 'not in your right mind.'
@@DavidAtkins-nu7dwbut being able to form consent in the moment is different. You could say the same about people who wanna take their life, but if that feeling lasts 10+ years, it’s not like a temporary psychosis in which the person’s decision making ability is basically completely fcked up.
As a person from Russia, I can say that in small Russian towns and villages, people lying in the street is a fairly common phenomenon, since many alcoholics who cannot control themselves live in such places. There was even a trend in Russian "Tiktok" where teenagers filmed sleeping drunks with cheerful music
I pretty vividly remember the video the reddit post is describing and I don't believe that picture is from that video. When I was a child(12 I believe) I had a friend who was an immigrant from Eastern Europe(I live in the states) who showed me shocking videos that had recently come on the internet from Russia and translated them for me. The Chelyabinsk Maniacs if I remember the source correctly. Even today it's a video that's hard to forget. The woman whose body those ill men abused was in a much rougher state than this picture and was wearing different clothing. So yes, it seems more then likely that the picture is innocent in nature, but I guess Nexpo can't rule out the possibility of a dark background. I hope he finds the source personally.
@@drpainglove3389 I remember seeing a shock video or two back around 2011-2012 that was similar to what the redditor described as well. But just as you say, the woman was not wearing the clothes in this video. You used to be able to Google these things, but now it's not so easy anymore. The better shock sites also went behind pay walls so it's hard to go back and check.
Gotta love the fact that I can't find a partner but some guy who fantasized about killing and eating someone actually found someone living nearby who's fantasy was being killed and eaten
Anybody that wants the kind of relationship you’d provide has the option of getting something like that from millions of other people. The dating pool for people wanting to be murdered and eaten is much more limited and as a result more efficient.
I've seen that Cannibal story on multiple other videos and it never gets any less weird and disturbing. I see why authorities were confused. How do you take someone consenting to be killed and eaten in a case like this?
@@Tuscaria I mean the cops in Germany go after the wrong things all the time Remember this is the same country that just reduced CP possession down to a misdemeanor so it’s fair to say they don’t have their priorities straight

I swear there is no way nexpo doesnt scare himself making his videos. His editing is terrifying. He should make a horror film like his own brand of skinamarink.
The audacity for someone to copyright strike these videos that take an incredible amount of effort to create is crazy to me. Thanks for the reupload Nexpo! I will always support your content.
@@blobofmeatwhoexist8460 the footage was not transformed upon, only pointed out headlights in 2 parts and used a decent amount of it. The following quote is straight from UA-cam themselves. "Even if you’ve added something to someone else’s content, your use might still not be considered a fair one. If your creation doesn’t add new expression, meaning, or message to the original, it probably isn’t fair use." The use of the Dan Robinson footage was not allowed, hence why it was taken down in the first place and not reinstated.
@@glissyyy I quite agree, but if the clip was shorter in my opinion it would've been fine, if I'm not mistaken nexpo focusing on the headlight does change the video point from someone who is running from a tornado to the last seen video of the storm chaser, or at least that's how I see it, but regardless the video was already taken down and the clip get cut, I suppose in the bigger picture the clip barely matters
The news of Tim, Paul and Carls passing was so devastating. We were in complete shock bc they were the team that "played it safe." This is my 1st time I have seen or heard the footage. It brought a rush of sadness. I only hope they went quickly but I know how these things work and I feel like they felt a lot of pain before their deaths 😢
Dude, I’m so sorry about the copyright takedown. We really appreciate the time and dedication you’ve taken into reworking this video so we could still enjoy your content :)
You know someone is incredible at storytelling when you've already heard about the man on chair and still get goosebumps while hearing it here. The quality is supreme
Leaving this on repeat despite watching it when it dropped. You put a lot of transformative work into these videos, especially with your new style. I feel you on the copyright issues. Hope another comment in the sea of support helps. Cheers.
The atmosphere you build in your videos is phenomenal, had me on the edge of my seat the entire time. And when the man threw a stick onto the lying down woman towards the end it legitimately sent chills down my spine. Content like this is amazing and I hope you continue to deliver videos like this one.
As a slavic person sadly I can confirm we have a big problem with alcoholism, especially among homeless people, and thus people just lying like this passed out is not that uncommon. And unfortunately not everybody helps them, some even do pranks on them like this. More common in Russia than here thankfully but still does happen. It could be literally anyone I'm afraid.
Yup, I'm originally from Russia as well, and with shame, I confirm. Out in the countryside, sure, this would happen. There's nothing to these pics. It's possible some of them may be dead, but it's not a snuff film, it's deep alcoholism.
How depressing. 😞The U.S. has its problems as well: fentanyl "zombies" & homeless under every bridge in every city. Biggest overdose crisis on Earth & in our own nation's history--100,000 dead in a year (2021). But there's something uniquely depressing about addiction & street life in places like Estonia, Romania, Russia & other European nations where the weather's always overcast & the architecture is so drab. Alcohol's a depressing drug in itself. 🫂
I can’t imagine Tim Samaras’s last moments alive, seeing his son and friend ejected from the car and not being able to help either of them, then realizing he is alone and trapped and will certainly die. Rest In Peace to the Twistex crew.

@@glassofmid If I remember correctly, it was also the case of the tornado being larger than it appeared. They were already caught in the vortex before it seemed too late.
You watch so many horror movies in life but honestly nothing compares to how scary these stories are in real life. He doesn't get enough credit for his work. This is what horror movies should do. Have him narrate and tell the story behind a disturbing video.
He has a great aesthetic so it translates to horror film level entertainment. The kicker is the reality element but the effect is caused by Nexpo's artistry.
I will forever adopt the last podcast policy if making fun of him because he was such an awful piece of garbage and doesn't deserve to be 'feared' What he did was pathetic.
Leonard Lake's case makes me so mad. He ended his own life in just 4 days in prison after torturing all those people, murdering them- it's unfair. Incredibly unfair.
i can't get over how immaculate some of the shots in this are. the whole production aesthetic is so well done there's no way you don't have a 20 people team behind you.
As someone that's always been fascinated by Tornadoes, so as soon as saw the first chapter was called "3 Mile Monster" I knew it was going to be about El Reno. It can't be overstated what an extreme event it was, not only in sheer size but also in the deviant motion of the storm, the lack of a defined edge to the tornadic wind field, and the multiple, stronger sub-vortices within the tornado itself. It was truly a worst case scenario for storm chasing, Twistex, a well respected team of chasers, were doing everything 'by the book' to try and escape but unfortunately due to the freak circumstances at play, ended up being in the wrong place at the wrong time. Multiple other chaser teams were also caught off guard but thankfully made it out with their lives.
Couple other interesting notes: --------------------------------------- • There's a study available which uses both damage indicators and (Doppler-radar-measured) air velocity to examine the El Reno event. A consistent picture of its interior structure emerges: as is often the case, the extreme winds are localized to sub-vortices within the main funnel. The interesting / awful thing is: the paper doesn't just plot the movement of each interior vortex, but also the movement of TWISTEX... and I believe it is no exaggeration at all to say: _just a few minutes, or few feet, of difference_ - and they would have likely made it. They were ridiculously, horrifyingly unlucky. Two times, IIRC - just two times, localized to areas ~50ft? in diameter, for the thing's _entire lifespan_ - it seems one of the strongest sub-vortices decided to, _for some hellish reason,_ sort of double back and chill in place for a bit. The latter time this occurs... is right on top of TWISTEX. 50ft, or maybe even just 30ft, forward/back/outward... or reaching _that spot_ just thirty seconds sooner or later... and I am not sure they wouldn't have driven right out. --------------------------------------- • The footage from that other chaser who was very close - wherein you can see Samaras behind him on the road... and then disappear, IIRC - is also interesting; • _edit:_ I misremembered the following as applying to Dan, referenced above, but in fact it applies to TWC, I believe! ...at one point they are actually _really close_ to THE nastiest spot of the entire storm, _at the exact time it's nastiest._ *Right by* _the_ worst damage / max measured windspeed / strongest vortex of the entire event. In the video, of course, you can only see a veil of wind and water - but to think of what was behind it... I suppose for every piece of bad luck, someone's gotta have a piece of good! ------------------------------------- My candidate for "worst o' the worst" is probably Jarrell _(& no it wasn't just the forward speed dangit! I can prove it!)_ - but this was a monster too. Gives me the damn shivers, sometimes.
@@Kveldredthe other chaser that was just some second in front of them was dan robinson. when we look a his video we can see he was really lucky. when we look at the path of all chaser he overpassed twistex just before. But even if the tornado turned left and growing at the same time, there were clearly all too close of it to purchase in a muddy road. They knew it was a f4 or f5. Sad. Samaras was a legend. RIP to all the team. Mike Bettes were hit too but before it became at it final size, and it was already powerful. El Reno tornado must be known by all people that want to do that.
I was living in Tulsa County and was 11 years old when the El Reno twister happened. And to clarify this was when I was a year old during tornado season if I am correct. I was born January 10th of 2002 which the three mile monster hit when I was only a year old. I heard stories of the El Reno twister but never really knew the kind of living hell it was during that time. I still live in Tulsa County in the suburbs of Tulsa. And yes my more common panicking season is springtime due to the fact that I have ADHD and autism which both don't mix well.

well its how he makes this content. None of this is really "lost media", you can search all this up. The tornado thing was big back in 2013, multiple vortex tornadoes are not "unprecedented" etc. Its just making something creepy and unique thats neither of those things really. Not saying its bad, its just a bit over the top and a bit misleading.
@@bobclack3256 I think you're misunderstanding the reason is why these are "lost media" - yes, they're all incidents that are widely documented, but (the first 3 at least) all involve tapes that are not accessible to the public. For 99.9% of people that means they're functionally no different than footage collecting dust in private collections that nobody remembers.
@@bobclack3256 To echo @Gilthwixt1's point: Lost Media does not denote that people somehow do not know that a certain thing happened (i.e. the historical record is lost to time), but rather a piece of physical media related to events that is confirmed (at least at some point) to exist is not accessible to the public or is destroyed forever. THIS is what makes the media "lost." But sometimes, the status of this "lost media" can change. Rumor is that they will be releasing all the footage of one of my holy grail pieces of lost media, "The Day the Clown Cried," which is an unreleased Holocaust movie from the 70s starring Jerry Lewis as a circus clown imprisoned in a concentration camp.
Hey, Nexpo! Really sorry about the takedown, as this is one of, in my opinion, the best videos you’ve done in terms of editing and effects. Here’s your algorithm points. ♥️

The production quality on this channel is incredible, I've never seen anything like it. Even the UA-cam-required censorship is done in a cool, but non-distracting way. Huge props, it takes a ton of effort to pull this off.

That last clip really serves as a great reminder of how unpredictable and scary the internet can be. It could be nothing, or it could be something very, very disturbing.
You really never know. The meme of the kid screaming and freaking out at school that still gets used all the time has some really upsetting origins. I'm not trying to blame people, nobody's gonna have context for every clip or image they use...but it is vomitous how often it gets thrown around. Who knows how many other famous clips have Not Good backstories?
As someone who lives in Oklahoma (about 45 min from El Reno) and has followed the 2013 storm online in great detail (I didn’t live in OK at the time, but had friends that took shelter from this storm), it was fascinating seeing Tim Samaras as the feature of the first video. It truly was a shame to see what happened to him, his son and his colleague. I actually didn’t know that his footage survived the storm (I have seen Tim’s car wreckage after the fact, so I was amazed anything they had was salvageable). I’ll be completely blunt, I get pretty pissed off at the people that mocked his death regarding the “he should have known the dangers of chasing tornados.” Well, here is my response to these A-holes… 1. Tim didn’t just go out chasing tornados for fun. He was a researcher. He studied tornados and made inventions that helped develop the science of forecasting and understanding how tornados work. He was doing work to help people understand tornados and take precautions from them. People act like Tim Samaras and the Twistex team were a bunch of Pesos Bills when they were anything but. 2. The El Reno tornado still to this day is a complete anomaly. It did things that we had never seen a tornado do before nor do since. It grew to a size never seen before in a matter of seconds and changed directions unexpectedly. No storm chaser ever goes out expecting to document a 2.6 mile wide tornado that can change directions on a dime. I think there are a lot of people out there that seem to have this misunderstanding that being a storm chaser is a stupid, dangerous venture when in all actuality, storm chasers are incredibly important people. While radar technology has made significant advances in the last 30-40 years, it still can’t provide a clear understanding of what’s happening on the ground. Storm chasers relay important information to meteorologists. Many are also the first responders to victims who are injured or trapped under debris. I’ve watched several storm chaser videos where they are going out and helping people after the storm. To insult the lives of storm chasers after they’ve been lost is in such bad taste that I get disgusted at the people that mock it. If you’re one of these people, you’re sick in the head. Get some help. Mocking the death of anyone is already in pretty bad taste, let alone someone who was trying to do some good in this world.
Thank you for the additional infos. It's pretty common for people to say "they deserve it" because what they did is "stupid" or reckless or that they were just thrill seekers without even knowing these facts about the people who died... and it's really disrespectful.

They're usually bored, thrill-seeking and interested in basic desires.

as horrifying as the whole situation is, there's something very darkly absurd about the fact that the guy who wanted to eat someone specified that his victim had to be 18 or older, I can almost imagine him being like "hey, I may be a complete psycho who gets off on the act of literally killing and eating other people, but I'm not *that* much of a sicko".
I know it has nothing to do with the Meiwes case, but if you use the wayback machine to go on CannibalCafe, there was actually quite a bit of drama between frequent users that I find interesting. One of the users tried stalking another as she said she was willing to be killed and eaten, but it turns out she was in a sort of relationship with another user so they would argue about rights to her meat.
So sorry about the copyright claim. Your content is unmatched in its quality. I cannot tell you just how intensely fearful I’ve been of tornadoes my entire life. I’m not sure why I have such a crippling fear of them, I’m from Philadelphia PA, not exactly tornado alley. However, in recent years tornadoes have been more common in the counties outside of Philly (none as massive as the one in this video of course). And it has started to make me fear thunderstorms even now, as I become paranoid that they will produce a tornado. I have had hundreds of recurring tornado dreams for as long as I can remember, at least 20 years I’d say. I had such anxiety watching that first one. It blows my mind that people chase them

From what I've read a huge reason distorted faces scare us innately has to do with our evolution. Our ability to see patterns, particularly with faces, helped us survive forever... It helps a lot for early humans to scan the savannah and see a lion's face out there and then go, "well, fuck that, going another way" and just got burnt into us over and over and over that when we see a distorted face, particularly with an open mouth, we kinda retreat into our primary instinct to get away in fear because we may be attacked. Or, so I've read.

I remember hearing about Twistex for the first time. I felt so bad about being fascinated by such a tragedy and wanting to see the footage they got on their last drive. It taught me about what morbid curiosity was, and the cognitive dissonance that comes with intense curiosity and also wanting to respect the victims of tragedies. I hope their families are doing alright. The crew's work was never in vain. edit: nexpo for the love of everything holy DON'T refer to 2016 as "almost a decade ago"
Yes it was all in vain, what good were they doing exactly chasing one of the biggest storms in recorded history? Even if they managed to get their probes up. Was gathering that useless data worth their lives? Seriously deserved the Darwin award, for that stunt. The storm was 3 Miles wide ffs.

I live within a half hour of Wilseyville and have grown up with the story of Leonard Lake in the community. I've driven by the property itself. The community itself and the woods/area surrounding the property just seems to have a lot of foreboding energy within it. It's still dark, and still dreary. Still a place most in our small surrounding communities perceive to be filled with evil.
A recent breakthrough seemed to uncover a promising lead into the “Jeff the Killer” hunt. There’s a post on r/lostmedia with photos that claims that the original “white powder” photo was an edit of a Japanese internet idol named “Mariko” whose posts were eventually archived for reasons explained there. Fascinating stuff.
Oh, really? I thought the other lead about the Japanese board that did a "make me pretty" event with that traditional Japanese doll was also a great lead. I'm not too caught up on that one, so I can't tell where it went. But the Mariko one has potential!

I was always horrified by the Jeff the Killer image as a kid. The "original" less edited version is somehow more terrifying, probably due to being used to seeing the heavily edited version. I got over my fear of the image by simply reading the story. Lol.
Yeah, the story is kind of lame, it really does have that feeling of “I’m 13 and just have a vague understanding of what horror is”. Which by the way is probably why it’s so hard to track down who wrote it, I wouldn’t wanna have my name attached to it either
@@KoriKeijithe story is lame sure, but it has a special place in people who've been in the creepypasta fandom hearts for a long time. Besides dude, that's the fun part. You'd probably like the claimed "origin" of Jeff the killer (aka Jeffrey woods, the one we all know from the image.) Jeff hodek.

Fantastic story telling as always! 😊 Also, If anyone wants more clarity on the El Reno tornado and where the storm chasers were located during it, Skip Talbot made an hour long breakdown of all the mistakes made that day. Skipped the segment bc it's like 2 am and I aint dealing with that guy tonight, so I will have to return once there's some daylight out again lol
It's strange, because as much as the image of Jeff makes my skin crawl, like literal goosebumps across my body...I somehow find the character to be pretty cool looking. Like if you've ever seen fanart of him, he would make for a great character in a horror anime or something.
I've watched so much footage of the El Reno tornado. Tim and Paul were people I idolized and their stint on Storm Chasers was a big reason I became certified with the Colorado NWS to identify damaging storms. Rest in peace Twistex team
When Charles Ng was arrested he was living behind my best friends house in Calgary Ab. It was insane. We were just little kids, & our parents, & the neighborhood were freaked right out. I remember all the cameras & reporters from international news media, it was crazy! He fought extradition, wasting tax payers money & I remember the adults being real mad about it lol.
I noticed there was a bit in the video where it said his father sent him away to a private school in England, given the fact Hong Kong used to be part of Britain this doesn’t surprise me as there were loads of students from Hong Kong at my school in England, which was also a boarding school….makes me think, he could have easily ended up staying in the UK & gone on to commit unspeakable &heinous crimes here

Guys, I just have to say. This man’s ability to make is own B-roll footage is just amazing! He goes out of his way to not just use stock footage on his videos and goes out to make props and custom footage to set the exact he wants to make the video to be. ALSO, may I include, his ability to curate a beautiful and bone chilling array of sound effects to employ into his sound design, is impeccable. Masterfully done @nexpo
Thanks for pointing this out, I'm glad I realize this now! What effort and care put into his videos. I always knew they were high quality and well researched/presented but that shows how far he really goes to not only please us but make himself unique among others doing similar videos
I've heard about the Leonard Lake and Charles Ng case many times now, and what disturbs me the most now is that there is a large community of people that really want to get their hands on the "M Ladies" tapes. I'm pretty sure that's what they were called and I don't think anyone knows why. The whole thing is just atrocious.
I've never abhorred any murderers more than those two. I try not to judge people, but if anyone deserves to rot in hell for eternity, it's them. I'm disgusted that Ng has lived longer than most of his victims, albeit on death row. Hopefully someone in that prison gave him a taste of his own medicine. Leonard's killing himself shows just what a spineless, cowardly piece of shit he was. I wonder how Ng felt knowing that his "buddy" left him to face the music.

Nexpo thank you for deep diving into Jeff the Killer. I honestly needed this to get over the vague fear I’ve had of it since I was a preteen and saw the creepypasta. It’s much more interesting than scary for me now and i really appreciate you flipping that in my psyche for me ✌️
I’ve had a severe phobia since I was a child, going into full panic at the mere sight of dark clouds. My parents took me to therapy and to talk to meteorologists, to no avail. To this day, I get scared and get into the safe closet just to feel better. I live in Houston, so we get bad weather from all directions, but flooding has been much much more horrific here than anything else. Now knowing how destructive a force even slowly rising water can be, I’m afraid of flooding too. Spring and Summer are awful for me. Do you know how your fear developed, or just over time? I specifically remember being four-ish and being in my parents’ bed watching the news reporting the aftermath of a tornado, and been a mess ever since.
@@MegCazalet I also have pretty bad weather anxiety. Last year, my town got hit by either an F-1 or F-0 tornado. My ceiling in my bedroom had fallen in so me and my bf had been sleeping with our mattress on the floor in our living room (of our 2nd story, old home apartment… ) I’ll never forget him waking me up around midnight telling me our power went out. Then immediately getting a tornado warning on my phone. Grabbed my cat and we sat in the bathroom. I knew we needed to be in a basement, but we didn’t have access to it, and it’s not like we had the time to get there. Power was knocked out for 3-4 days, with smaller towns nearby losing it even longer. Now I’m constantly keeping up with the weather, and always try to be aware of severe weather nearby or even states away. I get really anxious when the wind picks up, or when I see dark clouds forming.
@@theonlybingledingle Ohmygosh, how scary! We don’t even have a basement, because most homes don’t down here. I’m glad you were able to grab your cat in time, because that would’ve been so much extra harrowing. How long did you take cover in the bathroom? How did you guys manage the following days without power? Were you prepared with emergency supplies? No wonder you have weather anxiety. I’m surprised more people don’t. Severe weather of every kind is such a destructive force it’s horrifying. And it’s only going to get more extreme. Aside from fearing the initial destruction, the aftermath terrifies me as well. The injuries, the chaos, the destruction, the people and animals suffering, and the danger of no power and no working water in hot temperatures. With hurricanes, I’ve been through it firsthand, especially Harvey. But possibly worse was my now-husband and I on the road for 30 hours just trying to make the usually 4 hour trip to Dallas, during the deadly exodus from Houston in fear of Hurricane Rita, in 2005, a month after Katrina. We had my two dogs, and left at 4 am, 2 days before estimated landfall, thinking we’d beat the traffic. We had no provisions just some wet wipes, thinking we’d stop along the way, but there was no gas and shelves everywhere were empty, and eventually to conserve gas we had to keep the AC off. I could only wipe the dogs ears with wipes to try to cool them down. I saw families abandon dead pets along the road who had died from the heat. I was terrified for our dogs, and for all of us. I eventually fully expected to run out of gas on a backroad and have to try to survive the hurricane in the car. We’d exited the highway thinking it would be less backed up. It was not. But luckily around midnight, 20 hours on the road but having traveled the distance of a normal 2 hours, we made it to a gas station that still had its lights on, meaning it had gas, and we literally were pumping gas when they turned the lights off. We were the last to get gas, with hundreds of cars behind us. We finally paid for hose water in paper cups from an industrious rural homeowner who had set up a stand by the near stand-still traffic on the backroad. Long story short, we eventually made it safely to my aunts house, and I slept for over 24 hours, only to wake to the news that Rita had not hit Houston. My husband says he’ll never evacuate again unless it’s advised and orderly. So, never. My in-laws generously bought us a generator after the Freeze of ‘21, but if the gas mains are interrupted or damaged, we’re screwed. My parents, on the other hand, leave the moment there’s a named storm in the Gulf, and just vacation at my Dallas aunt’s mansion for a few days. All I can do is worry till I puke. I don’t want to take my anxiety pills in a storm because I want a clear head for an emergency. It’s a mess! I’m so sorry you’re suffering too, and had to actually deal with a tornado hitting your town. I hope it stays clear and calm for you from here on out ❤️

Jeez, what an unpredictable turn of events those guys had coming.
It’s going the wrong way, and it’s fast and erratic as fuck.
It also turned to the north. It wasn't following a normal path. It was also deceptive. If you were in the rain curtains you were in the main circulation and not just the bears cage. It kept spawning multiple vortexes like a carousel. It was a beast.
@@crazycatlady5629 Yeah, it going North was what I meant by, “it turned to cut them off”.

Jeff could be one of these crude edits, and the original image happened to be lost to a deleted forum page.

you got a few things wrong, meiwes gave him the painkillers & alcohol for cutting off the weewee, not after (who would want to be sober to get their pecker bitten off even if it’s a kink, he gave him the meds so he wouldn’t chicken out from the pain) and when he moved him to the bathtub he didn’t kill him there, he ran him a bath and read a Star Trek novel while brandes was still alive. while checking on him every fifteen minutes to see how he’s doing.
then at approx 10pm brandes tried to get out of the bathtub by himself, fell down, meiwes moved him to the bed and they went to sleep. at 5am meiwes stabbed his neck on the bed twice, brandes was by that point barely conscious but breathing. Everything caught on tape: the room wasn’t his bedroom, it was a slaughter room covered in plastic with a single bed and videotape covering everything
That’s how he was convicted of murder, that although the night was consensual, the actual killing wasn’t. brandes didn’t say “stab me in the neck” he wasn’t even conscious. but he was breathing, so it was murder

Couple other interesting notes:
---------------------------------------
• There's a study available which uses both damage indicators and (Doppler-radar-measured) air velocity to examine the El Reno event.
---------------------------------------
• The footage from that other chaser who was very close - wherein you can see Samaras behind him on the road... and then disappear, IIRC - is also interesting;
• _edit:_ I misremembered the following as applying to Dan, referenced above, but in fact it applies to TWC, I believe!
...at one point they are actually _really close_ to THE nastiest spot of the entire storm, _at the exact time it's nastiest._
*Right by* _the_ worst damage / max measured windspeed / strongest vortex of the entire event. In the video, of course, you can only see a veil of wind and water - but to think of what was behind it...
I suppose for every piece of bad luck, someone's gotta have a piece of good!
-------------------------------------
My candidate for "worst o' the worst" is probably Jarrell _(& no it wasn't just the forward speed dangit!

OVERRATED

I’ll be completely blunt, I get pretty pissed off at the people that mocked his death regarding the “he should have known the dangers of chasing tornados.” Well, here is my response to these A-holes…
Storm chasers are absolute heroes.
Thank you for the additional infos. It's pretty common for people to say "they deserve it" because what they did is "stupid" or reckless or that they were just thrill seekers without even knowing these facts about the people who died... and it's really disrespectful.
I had no idea storm chasing was this involved, thank you for sharing! It’s a shame what happened. Nature is so unpredictable.

The years start coming and they dont stop coming

@Biden2024LetsSaveAmerica Even if you’re “not” a troll, you make stupid comments. Where exactly did nexpo say that? (Oh yeah, nowhere, because you’re a troll.)
Nexpo, thanks so much for providing us with great content, it means so much that you’re this willing and dedicated to engaging with this niche community that we have. You have helped me personally as ive been in an emotional roller coaster for these past two years, and i wanted to sincerely thank you for that as well. I even told my girlfriend about you and she’s really interested in this type of content too!😌You’ll always have a special place in my heart, as well as everyone on UA-cam and in real life. Take care of yourself, my dude, and if you ever need anything, we’re here for ya😎♥️
@Biden2024LetsSaveAmericaYep, you’re a spammer too. This is the second time that I’ve seen you make this exact reply.
@@waitwhat3833i thought those were 2 different things? or am i misunderstanding?
@@fabz3303 yes, they are two different things. i was just bringing up another finding that i thought was interesting.
@@fabz3303they are different images however they are probably related. The Japanese image board would often have challenges where they would try to edit scary or ugly photos into being cute
@@waitwhat3833 ahhh okay i understand. yeah i totally agree those two things are crazy interesting. i just wonder if and when the origins of both will ever be 100% declared found
I was always horrified by the Jeff the Killer image as a kid.
It scares the piss out of kids. And if it really gets to you, just read one of the other five million rewrites. You'd probably like the claimed "origin" of Jeff the killer (aka Jeffrey woods, the one we all know from the image.) Jeff hodek.
Also there's more than one image? Oh boy.

41:40 will always be my favorite radio hijacking. The sound of tone going off, the weird chics voice reading off deaths. Definitely gave me chills. The tone that drops though is always the creepiest part.
What WAS that?
I was wondering what the fuck was going on there 😭
I think the original is longer, with a second iteration
There is a video called something like "scariest sounds on Earth" and among them, there is this one
Right! I remember the first time I heard that recording... well, here I go, down a rabbit hole!
Bro literally said "E"
Your editing on these kinds of videos blows me away every freaking time. You’ve got a team with a whole lot of talent, and you always put every ounce of effort into these videos, especially in the research aspect. I applaud you for this because it shows respect for the people being covered, and also respect for the seriousness of topics like these.
Fantastic story telling as always! 😊
Also, If anyone wants more clarity on the El Reno tornado and where the storm chasers were located during it, Skip Talbot made an hour long breakdown of all the mistakes made that day. It's a great watch if you are into that stuff and are familiar with the videos from that day.
yes!! i'd also like to add carly anna wx's video on el reno for anyone who wants to know more about it. she's great.
I’m obsessed with these mini-documentaries. Please never stop, Nexpo.
I’ve been here since you were Nightmare Expo, and I’ve gotta say, as brilliant as your videos were back then, they just keep getting better and better. Thanks for everything you do!
Man Jeff still always gets me.
That image absolutely ruined me when i was a kid and I still can't look at it without taking a big step towards a panic attack.
Skipped the segment bc it's like 2 am and I aint dealing with that guy tonight, so I will have to return once there's some daylight out again lol
Brings tears to my eyes 😭😭 I feel twelve again
@marquae4195 Omg thank you for this!! I will be using this on the This Man image because I actually can't with that one lol
It's strange, because as much as the image of Jeff makes my skin crawl, like literal goosebumps across my body...I somehow find the character to be pretty cool looking. Like if you've ever seen fanart of him, he would make for a great character in a horror anime or something.
If you want more trauma search for "11b x 1371" and "flatwoods monster"
"That image absolutely ruined me when i was a kid"
Man, I'm getting old...
I noticed there was a bit in the video where it said his father sent him away to a private school in England, given the fact Hong Kong used to be part of Britain this doesn’t surprise me as there were loads of students from Hong Kong at my school in England, which was also a boarding school….makes me think, he could have easily ended up staying in the UK & gone on to commit unspeakable &heinous crimes here
whatever the sound was at 41:48 brought back some memories of hearing that sound for the first time and being absolutely terrified of it, i dont know why, but that sound legit activated flight or fight in me
Same here
It’s crazy how pictures/videos alone aren’t typically scary until you add high pitched eerie tones to them. Senses are a wild thing!
i think it’s from the max headroom hacking incident?
What is it from)
Not that bad but still unpleasant
Guys, I just have to say. This man’s ability to make is own B-roll footage is just amazing! He goes out of his way to not just use stock footage on his videos and goes out to make props and custom footage to set the exact he wants to make the video to be. ALSO, may I include, his ability to curate a beautiful and bone chilling array of sound effects to employ into his sound design, is impeccable. Masterfully done @nexpo
Yup, absolute quality work across the board!
Thanks for pointing this out, I'm glad I realize this now! What effort and care put into his videos. I always knew they were high quality and well researched/presented but that shows how far he really goes to not only please us but make himself unique among others doing similar videos
The old commercials has some eery vibes to it and it fits.
Thanks for re-uploading Nexpo, it must be frustrating. Another chance to watch this so every cloud and that!
Quality = off the charts

I truly feel sorry for the takedown. You are one of the only channels that can really cautivate my interest in watching this type of content, since your narration is so on time and incredibly well done. I admire your work, as it keeps me up at night, and without using a single screamer like other cheap versions of channels. I will watch this video again as a humble way of supporting you. Keep up the good work!!!
I have a weather hyperfixation, specifically tornadoes and hurricanes and such, I enjoy and appreciate that quite a few of your videos include tornado incidents, as they can be just as horrific as heinous acts like murder. I think you should cover the lost footage of the 1997 Jarrell Texas 'dead man walking' tornado in a future lost media video. If you do I definitely recommend Swegle Studio's video about the lost footage to learn more!! Love your videos man!!
My brother and I always get together to watch each new video of yours. We love your editing and dedication to each video! Thanks for all your hard work, and sorry to hear about the copyright takedown. Hope the video gets the views it deserves
This video was literal eyecandy. The editing, music, visuals, everything about it had me on edge the entire time and it made me appreciate the stuff that you do. Thank You Nexpo, Great Work.
It truly gives me hope in an era where UA-camrs are understandably pressured to pump out low effort PowerPoint video essays for the sake of sponsorship money. Some lost media UA-camrs literally read entries off the Lost Media Wiki.
I love this cinematic style so much and really hope other UA-camrs take example because it made an hour long video so much more digestible for my ADHD brain lol.
Sad to hear this was originally taken down, I think I might’ve originally watched it but what I do know is that I have been watching the other one along with the disturbing things from around the internet all day today as background noise. Love you and all the work you do Nexpo!! :)
I use these videos as background noise as well.

Really cool of you to re-edit the content for us after already spending so much of your time on the video that was taken down initially. We really appreciate it (in addition to everything else you do as well)! Much thanks!❤
i mean if you built an entire castle and someone broke one brick right after completing it, would you not fix that brick?
Nexpo thank you for deep diving into Jeff the Killer. I honestly needed this to get over the vague fear I’ve had of it since I was a preteen and saw the creepypasta. It’s much more interesting than scary for me now and i really appreciate you flipping that in my psyche for me ✌️

Did u enjoy seeing the first less edited version of the picture in this vid😄😭
Don't feel bad, I'm still scared of him, slenderman, and the images from the Russian sleep experiment.
I knew a Jeff who frequented new grounds back in the day, in 2005 he became a killer and died. That picture unsettles me greatly.
Nothing freaked me out more than that one black and white image of Ben drowned and the red demon thing from MARIO
I'm incredibly terrified of tornadoes, the dread I felt knowing that the Twistex team got sucked into that monster...horrifying.
@@MegCazalet That must be tough, I'm sorry :(
🦸🦸🦸🦸🦸🦸🦸🦸
I hope it stays clear and calm for you from here on out ❤️
God I was sleeping and had on autoplay and woke up with this vampire woman laughing, I literally fucking died almost. God this was terrifying

I’m sorry but.. How tf does someone “love” severe weather?? Severe weather ruins peoples lives, destroys homes, kills people, it feels super disrespectful to say you “love” it
