What a rare treat to see a live performance from the 3rd record. Such a shame, because it’s an amazing record that has aged pretty well. Great songs and a crazy good roster.
Aimee reveals that Michael Hausman & she were the only remaining Til Tuesday members with Jon Brion, soon to be instrumental (pun intended) on some of her fabulous solo work, sitting in. Paul Shafer of course, had to get into the act. David Letterman obviously wasn't watching too closely as he's sitting 1 seat away from the drummer. Also, when Epic pulled promotion for Everything's Different Now they shot down any chance of her making "a lot of dough" from it. They did, however, lay groundwork for Aimee's & hubby Michael Penn's successful foundation of an Indie label.
@@blackmore4 "More of the same"?! Evidently you've never heard her first solo album, which she co-produced on her own dime with said Jon Brion while the lawyers for Epic Records kept her twisting in the wind.
Brings back memories of my late teen years.
ALWAYS GOOD TO HEAR AND SEE AIMEE MANN!!! M.O'B
Their best LP " Everything Is differenti now"! 💚
Punches a hole in my soul thinking about the World's Most Dangerous Band!! Didn't know how good we had it...
Krikey! Her bass playing RULES!!!!!!!
Aimee singing while playing a contrapuntal bass line is Geddy Lee-level, and her stance is something fierce. Epic Records had no idea what they had.
@@ronforeman2556 MOST wailin', indeed!!! What a muso BEAST, on every level!!!!!
loved this cd so much! and Aimee is just special!

Love that she plays the bass guitar also ❤❤❤👽💜💜💜

My buddy Jon brion from Milford ct!
HEY, I LIVE IN MILFORD CT!!! M.O'B
Great voice, Great BASS
Love Aimee.....
Wow. Practically Geddy Lee levels of simultaneous bass playing and singing. If you can sing and play at the same time, you've got it made 😎
Yep she's almost Geddy Lee level of talent. She's way easier on the eyes though ;-)
Great minds think alike.
She is sooooo good!
Robert Holmes is missed here
Indeed.
Miss watching David Letterman in the late night. Loved “ Stupid Human Tricks”
Thank you, amazing clip. Gracias Fernando.
Love Aimee
Holy kapow, I had no idea they ever promoted this song
Such a great LP.
She was very nervous here.
AimeeBilly IdolMann. Sweet.
Wow
Had Aimee impaled Dave she would have been my hero forever
😀😁😂😂😂
Love Aimee Mann and Til Tuesday... Hate this kind of TV show "presenters" or "hosts" who never seem to listen or care about what their guests say.
Dave is pretty well known for having good taste in music and respect for musicians. I'm not sure what your comment is supposed to mean.
Letterman is probably the greatest host in the history of American television.
@@shiznicks74 Letterman sucks.
she *was everything
*edit*
(and still is)
Great talent... could have saved Rock n Roll
God I hate letterman sometimes
How? Not with more of the same. Revolutionary stuff tears up rules. Despite their talents, Mann & co. stuck to them.

Aimee is the female Sting.
Great band, one great record. That was it. Aimee Mann looked very nervous.
I love how the host didn’t even remember who the drummer was (thought he was Jon Brion) Haha
Damn, she's cute!
Why did John keep mentioning Oaxaca?
Why not?
It was probably a riff on something said earlier in that night's show.
@@blackmore4 because I’m Mexican and curious lol
No radio play for this album in 1988 only sewage like tone loc and pebbles and shitney houston.
Much prefer the 1986 version of Aimee Mann..dont like the shaved eyebrows and short hair..
JJ Thomas The musics better though
No Robert, no Power Braid..Meh..
Not a very good performance. Great album, though
WTF are you talking about? It's a great performance!
