I still can't believe "What About Love" wasn't a major hit like "Voices Carry". It's every bit as good, with such a killer sound and vocal, but didn't even make the top 20. ?? Baffles me to this day - Aimee and the band totally crushed it.
The answer is the CBS record promotion team couldn't get it done at radio. No airplay means limited single and album sales. Would have been great if program directors at radio took it on their own to add to their Playlists nationally. That support would have resulted in maybe this breaking the Top 10 like Voices Carry. Baffling how radio drove everything back in the 80's and MTV was a major force to get artists music videos aired which could sometimes break a hit and drive radio song adds.
The more I read and learn about Aimee, the more incredibly impressed I am with her. My God she has had to overcome some incredibly difficult obstacles. Difficulties that started at such a young age! She was dealt some bad hands in her early life but overcame all with such amazing intestinal fortitude! It came at a cost to her but she somehow came out the other side so much stronger. Her musical abilities are top line but it’s far more impressive to me, who she turned out to be. She could be an incredible mentor to so many young adults! Bravo Aimee!
@@jumpinjojo Are you senile or just confused? I owned all their albums and greatest hits compilation. Oh, and Til Tuesday was the first Band to appear at The Empire in Philly after my Band was broadcast in 1985.
Well, this should make you happy. 'Til Tuesday is going to be reuniting for a show next year. pretty amazing that almost 35 years later, they're gonna be performing these songs again.
No question one of their ALL TIME best songs! Vintage Ammie vocal-izing plus Robert's beautiful guitar parts. AND this is an INSANELY fun drum cover! The groove is killer, I'll have to convert from VHS my old drum covers of some vintage TT.
I predict Ms.Aimee Mann is about to get her due, this I swear" she is about to blow up and become even more famous now, I will start calling every radio station here in America to request her songs and request her biggest hit, starting Today, March 4, 2022and her bandmates will get their respect for being such talented musicians, and she will be even richer with fame and $$fortune" I wish her well" I hope God here's me today"
And she's tall, statuesque & looks great doing her little dance. Swaying & getting down. Song should have been more popular. I heard it the first time on a episode of 21 Jump Street by chance..ears pricked up. Knew it was good..
Well Manny obviously I knew that. However, if you watch this video which I hope you have then you'd notice Amy is NOT playing bass and in fact there is a gentleman playing bass. Thus my question about someone other then Amy playing bass...

Probably because it did not get included in any major movie. It was worthy as the time was only 4;01 playtime.
Robert Holmes might be the most underrated guitarist in pop history. The guy just has the tastiest solos ever!
Robert Holmes. Tone for days. Talented band.

They should do a reunion tour that would be epic, all the members are still alive.
@Kolin Timothy and he forgot completely how to do
so?🤔
I would happily pay current ticket prices for that!
@@kspocketngroove3973 what happened to him
@@paultucker7701 nothing, i was being sarcastic about Joey not playing keyboards
And Aimee has to get her hair done like the 80s
Suddenly a bunch of videos of Til Tuesday appeared on UA-cam. That makes me really happy.
I loved Aimee's pop star phase. What an incredible, underrated band.
You clearly know nothing about the band’s popularity and chart success.

@@jumpinjojo Yes they had some success but nowhere near what they deserved. Killer albums and super talent.
Thank you Aimee and band for your incredible songs and performances!!!

What a TREASURE
Aimee has one of the very prettiest faces to sing like she can.
And she's tall, statuesque & looks great doing her little dance. Swaying & getting down. Song should have been more popular. I heard it the first time on a episode of 21 Jump Street by chance..ears pricked up. Knew it was good..
She still looks shockingly good for her 60+ years.
Well, yet another show I'll always regret not seeing.
Tasteful guitar solo.
Women were never more beautiful than in the 80's.
I SO agree...
I am in Total Love with this Song
Great unreleased song in the second half of this clip, wish they'd recorded it.
I really wish the original lineup of Til Tuesday had recorded the “Everything is Different Now” album and toured still. They were/are ao great
What a band!
They were fairly new when the came out back in 1985 with Voices carry. I was in my teens then. Loved them then . Love then now. Great band
My favfrom the 80s
Holmes!
Vastly underappreciated guitar genius.
Honestly until today I had no idea how good he actually is. He's great!
So over looked! Use to go into Newbury Comics, to see you! I worked at LaSalle!
Totally! Worth~ the Wait!
Reunion please.
Fuck I miss those days
Same, The best years of my life...
You are not the only one.
One bad arse band!
Why are the best Til Tuesday songs not on any album??
I love it
love, love, love!
That second song was never recorded, and would have been a #1 single easily...
How can I get a full copy of this show???
She left this concert and filmed that Rush video😮
I had two LPS
Why do I want a date with Billy Idol AND Aimee now?
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
never knew they had a bass player at any point.
Aimee was the bassist.
Well Manny obviously I knew that. However, if you watch this video which I hope you have then you'd notice Amy is NOT playing bass and in fact there is a gentleman playing bass. Thus my question about someone other then Amy playing bass...
Brian Kushner manny is blind. AND also not a true fan.
In more vids of this song here in youtube...there is that guy on the bass. 🙄
My thought exactly.
Who's playing bass?
your granma
I am sure his name Dave Darby
Mr pesche on key board.
Her voice is so powerful it's sad she seems afraid to let it all out and scream that shit like she does in the video
It was this day that Walter quit the music business
Really? The bass player?
@@photonotavailable7936 haha no, the guy who was tuning her guitar
Goodbye rodney stiglic
Start w acoustic on Kimmel Fallon
Vh1's one hit wonder that lame ass song sucked back then! Weird al should have made it famous " Hush Hush ,pinch your ass now farts carry"
