Not only does the 90-99% evaporate too quickly but it can also invoke a defense response from certain bacteria and no matter how long it's in contact they wont die. That 70% really is important for proper disinfection.
Lid design is changed.. gone are the velcros and the possibility to grab and shake one edge of the lid for ventilation.. what fan method now you suggest ?💨🍄

Hey there. Thanks as always, for what you do. I posted this same question on Amazon, but decided to see which got the faster response: I purchased your CVG kit on Amazon. Very pleased. My question is, what is the volume of the finished substrate? I'm working out a spawn ratio, and don't want to open the bags and handle it until I'm ready to pasteurize and birth. I have 1.5 qts of spawn, and need about 3-3.5 qts of sub to get to my FAE holes in my tub (4.5-5 total), and desired spawn ratio. I estimate that, that's about half the kit? Which works because I have another grain bag in storage for another run. Hopefully half the kit is around 3-3.5 qts of sub?

Different mushrooms like different substrates. CVG is pretty widely used for actives. Gourmets, like oysters, prefer a straw substrate. CVG and a monotub can be used for a lot of different mushroom types but isn't always optimal for growing conditions and yield.
I read that it’s unsafe to use isopropyl on your skin and that you should wear a respirator and eye protection. Is this true or is it safe for contact (also should you rinse everything after contact with isopropyl or is this not necessary?)
Why is it that I successfully complete all the steps from spawn bag to mycelium growing in the tub with condensation on the sides of the tub to never seeing a damn mushroom? This has happened like 11 times. The temperature and humidity conditions are perfect for everything else. Please help.
I bought this novelty tub, mainly to support Boomer Shroomer, but it's a loser POS, people, don't buy it. It leaked from the get go, and won't stay inflated. Wave goodbye to $25 if you buy it.

In hospitals they use isopropyl alcohol for certain hand gels - that might not fully answer your question but partial tip xx

Yes sometimes. Needs to be the perfect conditions outside. If it is super hot outside they won't grow. Anything over 80F is too hot.
