@@anthonyrollins9825 nothing to gain from lying about em. Not if I want folks to trust me enough to keep doing this stuff. You know what I mean ? It just wouldn't work any other way for me. Doesn't mean that thin edge didn't get burnt , I've burnt a few just putting an edge on a much thicker stock knife. It happens sometimes 💯

Id say your right machining overheated the tip.
I believe all these expensive knives should come Rockwell tested.
When i was young Puma knives sold a lockback that came with a Rockwell inspection.
It's amazing what we allow these overpriced knife companies to get away with.

Agreed, it's very feasible that the heat treat could get impacted by post-heat-treat grinding/sharpening if they aren't careful to keep the heat down (which takes more time).

@@MitchBollig right. I post hest treat grind my blades because I need to know they're flat and centered. But I font have all those fancy machines these bigger shops have. Misting systems and cnc grinders. Maybe one day lol 😆

I said the same thing. They burnt tte tip out during grinding. Too thin of a tip for the design of the knife in my opinion

Yeah i would say thats exactly what happened. Either that or they are intentionally leaving the tip softer to make it bend under stress rather than snapping. Don't get me wrong, I am no fan of them switching from 1055 to 65mn etc but what can one do.
