- Solomon Kane (2009)
Captain Solomon Kane is a brutally efficient 16th Century killing machine. Armed with his signature pistols, cutlass and rapier, he and his men unleash their bloodlust as they fight for England in war after war on all continents. As the story opens, Kane and his band of pillagers are carving a bloody path through hordes of defenders in an exotic city in northern Africa. But, when Kane decides to attack a mysterious nearby castle to plunder its rumored riches, his mission takes a fateful turn. One by one, Kane's men are picked off by demonic creatures until he alone is left to face the Devil's own Reaper -- dispatched from the depths of Hell to lay claim to his hopelessly corrupt soul. Though Kane at last manages to escape, he knows that he now must redeem himself by renouncing violence and devoting himself wholly to a life of peace and purity.

@@bobsponge1877hes not wrong. This seems to be overused and regurgitated by everyone on social media nowadays. Along with "Bruh" and the now infamous "Fax" Which most people spell that way cause they're stupid.
im the only devil here
Also salomon: the lord protect me
o___o
Exactly.
When you fuck around and find out
Well done, I was looking for a comment like yours to see if I was the only one who noticed that
Lol really shot himself in the foot there.
This was a fun movie. James Purefoy auditioned for Bond which ultimately went to Daniel Craig. Craig is a great Bond. I think Purefoy would've been great too.
@John Kult The Broccoli family which owns the Bond franchise are not going to mess with success. Next Bond will likely be Henry Cavill.
That moment when you realize that, at this point, the Devil's Reaper is the good guy.
depending on who you talk to, the original hebrew devil/Satan was just god's prosecutor..but the term "adversary" got used a bit more loosely in the new testamant, and later translations muddled it up a bit...then mixed THAT up with Lucifer and Hades(who himself was not really a demonic figure, and was rather well behaved compared to his brothers.) Toss in some greco-roman views of the afterlife, mix in some pagan demons, and viola..you get the modern corruptor-devil figure.

@@allenjanvalie various. google it, then cross reference the results. while you do so, remember that Christianity is a fairly old religion that has migrated across many cultures..and Judiasm is even older, with it's roots as an organized religion predating the Bronze age. (point of fact, going back to the dawn of creation, if you're a literal believer) While you're at it, google "Bibically accurate angels" hint: the more modern depictions and hollywood get it wrong .
@alex solomon I think you meant to say fairly new religion.
@@joshzitz1985 no, after the first millenium or so, it qualifies for "old"
what a timeless classic
classic my ass
Mr. Purefoy IS Solomon Kane, just as Mr. Schwarzenegger IS Conan.
and Mr. Sorbo is Kull the Conqueror. :D
@@niketesambrosiosdelagrece2266 and Hugh Jackman is Van Helsing
visual in this scene gave me strong 2004 Van Helsing vibes

why did he shoot the man? it was kinda evil and without merit as well

I always loved this movie. 😊❤❤❤
Interesting, although other than the name it bears no resemblance to the Solomon Kane of Robert E. Howard's stories.
Awesome
Diablo wants is reaper back 🤭
And the mirroir with the demon trap from the first scene in Constantine
Diablo and Constantine stole ideas from older movies too. There's hardly anything truly original at this point
I’ve always thought of him as the generic Hugh Jackman😂😂😂😂😂
Mr Van Helsing perhaps? Lol
For a low budget film it’s was worth the watch
The best scene ever
Wow, awful. As a reader of Solomon Kane books I was excited to see him on film...this is definitely not him. They only part they got right was he was human and he was male. Sigh.
I'm gonna take a few Devils out before I leave this realm make the world a better place with a few less , I'll take the sacrifice .
I like this movie a lot
A great very underrated film

Enough already!
Call Purefoy back and make a sequel!!!!!
This clip has been up for 4 years yet not one comment saying what the movie is called.

I thought that was Hugh Jackman and I now realise it is Mr Purefoy 🤣
THANKS
Love this movie thanks for uploading!
This movie is awesome and this is the only scene they ever load to UA-cam . Sad
He could be the next wolverine
The movie is actually made when the actor was younger, he’s too old for wolverine.
Best window jump Ever
Yah Hindi mein movie Aaegi Ki Nahin
directors FUp by puting the best Solomons opponent on start of the movie instead on the middle or end....
damn 2012 thi looks like a 2000s movie
Howardian essence!
this is like bloodborne or dark souls
The beggining is great, the rest of the movie is average at best.
What movie
They had guns??
It troubles me to see that so many of these games and movies are so deeply focused on demons, demoninc influence, evil men fighting against evil beings. I would love to have Dante fighting evil again. I would to have a good man and woman and child or angel of Heaven standing against evil.
The evil-vs-evil trope is actually a response to the good-vs-evil cliché which came before it. Just like how there are many movies with tragic endings in response to the happily-ever-after cliché
yeah its part of demoralisation ;)
Movie name plz?
Solomon kane
Name of the movie
