I know your video is older but I will still be watching this series as a reference. I plan on buying a used Transit to make into a camper van & this video really opened my eyes to thoroughly check out everything before buying. Thank you for sharing your build & I can't wait to watch the rest of your videos.
By the way, I don't think you realise how helpful these your videos are. Don't know about others, but in my case it could just be life saving. Thank you so much, keep up the good work.
Finding moisture under the seats must have been a big surprise.thanks for taking the time to show us that because I never would have thought of looking in all those places.
You're great at covering matters thoroughly. I really appreciate that. I'm thinking of how I'm going to create my version of a van. I won't be doing the building, but I want to know how to talk about various aspects of the work with whoever does it for me. Thanks for helping!
Impressive. This isn't riveting entertainment...but I get the sense that any viewer can, following these videos along, do a van conversion that is successful in meeting their needs AND have it hold up well over the long term. Nice job so far.
I just bought a van and discovered that the front seats are completely submerged in rust - can’t even see the van floor. I’ll definitely be using these helpful tips. Thanks so much for the video Moser!
I prefer RV cause I'm not handy enough for this stuff, but you know how insulation works and are extremely articulate. Thank you for spreading knowledge and sharing your unfolding story
I enjoy your presentation method in your videos. Your videos are interesting to watch, straightforward, useful and pleasant. Keep them coming and thank you.
I appreciate that you are very methodical about this. You’re taking your time with each section/video and that’s OK! You’re bringing up lots of points other builders sail right over. Probably because they don’t know! Thanks for sharing.
Delivery format of informations is just fantastic. Love your content and its delivery speed. For me it could do the difference between curiosity and adventure in a van !
Hey ... you are awesome. Like your style and your voice. Am looking forward to viewing you other videos. I have not bought a van yet. Thinking about it ... sitting on the fence.
Awesome conversion so downloading it 😊❤️ I hope you'll cover the safety and security of the people inside the van who lives permanently in it coz it's one of my concern as well. Thanks ahead! 😊
If you have a 4k camera and shoot 4k, use your editing program to zoom in on the video when you do a hard cut (known as a jump cut). It looks more like you set up a new camera setting and didn't just edit out bad takes. If you don't have a 4k camera, just zoom in or out between takes with your zoom lens. That way you can cover up jump cuts easier.
Your video editing skills are phenomenal. The way you explain step by step processes are perfect! I will be cataloging everyone of your videos to learn how to build my own van conversion. I don’t know what you do for a living but I’m quite sure you’re very good at it based on your videos. Thanks for doing such a great job, it helps me with the issues I expect to have.
Thanks, great video for anyone considering doing a similar conversion. Look for those trouble spots. So many rushes right into converting that they forget to take care of what is essentially the foundation (body and mechanicals) and if you don have a good foundation - what have you got.
I just saw an English couple in the UK, doing a conversion, who solved the problem of Fords wiring “solution” by cutting the wires through. They found out this was sort of a problem because they noticed the central door locks weren’t functioning anymore…
Really learning a lot about what to consider and the correct order to do it in when planning a van build. Thanks for sharing. It is greatly appreciated.
Seriously want to keep watching! I've very recently made the decision that I am going to convert a van and live in it full time, and thus am doing what most people do-- watch and read everything I can about it. Your layout, with the stove up front is awesome! AND the bench / toilet combo, is something I was thinking about while driving home today-- and I wondered why I hadn't seen someone do it yet... low-and-behold, you did! My only issue: Not all of your build process videos are posted yet! >_< Highly anticipated. Informative. Keep em' comin'!
Keep 'em coming. These vids are very well filmed, well researched and informative too. Enjoy your thought process. Do you do builds?!! or is one enough for now ;D
That was a really helpful video. I just got a Transit and I'm starting the cleaning today. Btw, I'm not sure exactly how your Amazon links work, but they send me to the US store even I'm in Canada so I can't really buy with the affiliated links. I think there's a way for you to have the links redirecting to different stores based on where the person who clicks is, maybe it worth it to check on that!
Love your videos - you're so thorough, and I can see how much thought and planning goes into all your decisions. It's really great. Side note: I would ask that you watch the tendency to "vocal fry" the end of all your sentences; it's probably unconscious, but it does detract from being able to hear you clearly. Admittedly, it's a pet peeve of mine, but I also really want to hear everything you're saying. Thanks!
I'm really enjoying your van conversion videos. I just purchased a 2018, 2500, high roof, 159" WB, ProMaster with the intention of doing my own conversion. The part that concerns me the most is the electrical work. Have you already posted the video of this part of your conversion? Do you plan to have a battery to battery charger to charge your house battery from the engine?
Hi Sam, new subscriber Mark here! In this video, was that silver bulb insulation that I see, installed at the dealer or did you install it prior to installing the Thinsulate? Thank you very much.
Agent/Officer Thomas A. Porter D.P.O., Well, just a bit too generic of a warning. First, ALL insulation off-gases and/or have unhealthy fibers - actually all man made and a lot of natural products (plywood, aromatic cedar, stains and paints. ......). Just look at the safe cotton denim insulation with no chemicals marketed that a person can sleep on it, but huge complaints from users that it is so dusty it will fill your lungs with fibers. Also, just because a foam is formed at the factory into a sheet or a mat does not mean it is automatically safer and does not off gas. Second, lots of different types of foam including latex. Third, trapping internal condensed moisture against the sheet metal can exacerbate the growth of future poisonous molds and vehicle corrosion (closed cell foam is the only product that can eliminate this happening). Forth, some product off gassing stops once the reaction is complete and the product cures. Bottom line is everything is a tradeoff. Everything can be made safe with proper installation. Granted, some installation techniques are not possible in a van. Research.
Every time I watch your video, I have o skip the first 40 sec of your intro, because it gets me really dizzy! Nevertheless, informative video, thank you.

Love when someone takes the meticulous time to fix and prevent before regrets and disasters. I always believe this pays off in the long run!
perfect trans name
I'm so in love with your videos. Thanks for not having a bunch of music and intros and outros. You're the best
Thank god you actually looked into how reflectix works! There’s huge van companies installing this stuff incorrectly. Props to you dude

You are a joy to listen to. Love your videos.
Wow with that intro I almost had a flashback. Thanks man. And I love your video.

I really appreciate your detailed thoroughness.. thx for all the research and info.
Ur videos are GOLD.
Woww , excellent how u manage to stand on the same spot everytime.
EXCELLENT!!! As usual!! I’m getting a real education on van conversions. I need all the help I can get & your videos are 1rst rate!! THANK YOU 😊 ☮️

In the long run, all of your hard work will be worth it. I hope we see each other on the road someday.
I hope you're happy with your van. You should be proud of the research and good work you've put into it

Dang! Subscribed, indeed! Thanks so much for going into all that detail.
infrastructure first.. often time consuming... but necessary when going for the long term.. and putting your name on it.
Great video! Very informative
your videos have been the most informative ive found! big thanks. Gonna go watch the NIXT video now. ;)

Thanks for making this series man, it's really helpful.
Really good video and showing all that your doing 👍

Nice video dude.
If you haven’t already, check out Greg Virgoes van build. TONS of good info, especially on insulation.
Keep 'em coming. These vids are very well filmed, well researched and informative too. Enjoy your thought process. Do you do builds?!! or is one enough for now ;D

Finally someone that knows about Reflectix correct installation, uses and limitations rather than its “magic” properties ;-) Good job.

I enjoy your videos have you seen Greg Virgo’s van build it may be useful to you.
I’m about to get to know you very well over the next 6 months

Spray Foams Very Careful As They Release Toxic Fumes. :(

Plus, it's not a waterproofing, which can lead to rust near the bottom of each wall/door in which you use it.
Waiting next Videos.
More of this!! Even tho it's sunny skip the sunglasses 😎
May I ask what kind of 3M Thinsulate you used? SM600L or SM400L?
pLeAsE don't do the "zoom-in-out" thing. It's hard on the eyes.
I really like your videos, count me as a new sub and i will be using your vids when i one day get my own van.
Do anyone know what year and model is this Ford Transit is?
I'm enjoying your videos, however, i don't like the beginning flash pictures -> makes me feel seasick to watch.
Warum wird diese Isolierung abmontiert???
Every time I watch your video, I have o skip the first 40 sec of your intro, because it gets me really dizzy! Nevertheless, informative video, thank you.
Radiant and moisture barriers on a van are a joke....
Try talking with your hands and moving around more, be more animated, you look a bit stiff ... otherwise great work!
Great videos, but dude you gotta loosen up. It's so weird watching people try to stand so still when talking. It's natural to use hand motions, etc...
