I never expected this video to have so many views and comments. I appreciate all the positive comments and words of advice. I feel like I should clarify some things.
Half these people making comments have no idea what this weapon is capable of that prop might just need cupping and just a bit of trim work or more prop but don’t kid your self in thinking ya bass boat would come close
I would call that a very successful first run. Looks great, sounds like a beast, went forward, didn't sink, catch fire or blow-up. Great job keep up the effort and I look forward to seeing your advancing progress. Pay NO mind to the ignorant for they are in the dark and blind.
Prop isn't low enough in the water. Had a similar problem with a overpowered inboard/outboard. The motor would just rip up the water, had to hold it on the edge of cavitation. Good fun though
Testing? Why is he running a shiftable lower unit? They have no place on a light hydro, lift versus trim and throttle will put you over or stuff. Experience is a nasty teacher.
evinrude is evinrude its a love story and history it hold the speed record of outboard its this best of best not like the other shit outboard you cqnt compare any outboard engine to omc its the rolls royce of sea around 40 years using this engine all what i can say perfection

Everybody here calling it slow is forgetting the title is ‘first test’ not ‘perfect run v8 hydroplane’ not everything is perfect the first time.
