I think I have a video of him carrying Mr. Monkey or vocalizing because he wanted me to come out of the house after arriving home. Do not know if a lynx would be different but what I have found works THE BEST for even the most impacted costipation in domestic cats is MIRALAX. For Domestic cats I give 1/4 Teaspoon once or twice a day. Softened stool comes out 1-2 days later without diarrhea which can happen using other laxatives.
@cooperroscatman3394 - Yes, that is what I use too. I think with Max, he got the diarrhea because I pulled back on the enzymes for his pancreas. I also dosed his water and he was drinking a ton of it after the enema. Once the blockage passed and I didn't notice any fur balls, I stopped the lax. Now he only gets it twice a week. Meat and bones are tougher to digest than canned cat food. Sometimes I will give him that if I foresee trouble. It's not nutritious for him but better than nothing until his stomach settles. 😻

I give our "Boys" (Tabby brothers.) these "Fortiflora" probiotics at their Vets recommendation...
