@@UltimateBargains Hyenas are not members of the dog or cat families. Instead, they are so unique that they have a family all their own, Hyaenidae. There are four members of the Hyaenidae family: the striped hyena, the “giggly” spotted hyena, the brown hyena, and the aardwolf (it's a hyena, not a wolf).
I live in northern Ontario and have seen over a dozen lynx in my life in the wild, they are actually very curious majestic animals. Very cool and sometimes can be very very curious and come out to see you for a moment.
I think we have to give him a break - this isn't a domestic cat and if it was his first time in such close proximity, his nervousness is understandable. :)
yeah, it bothers me to watch non-cat people dealing with cats. did you hear how loud he was talking right by her ears (along with everything else)? you have to be ultra sensitive and intuitive. it's probably not even the best move to approach a cat, straight up (though we all do it). i like to play a little game with them, where i try to make the cat want to come around me. I just give off a beneficent, buddy-buddy, non threatening, i'm-just-chilling-with-you type energy and leave the cat alone. soon enough, they usually want attention. i like to challenge them regarding who can be more enchanting and alluring to each other. lol. (much of the time, they win tho)
Was really frustrating to watch him flinch away from those headbumps. I would have been the happiest man in the world if a big cat headbumped me. I'm owned by 3 cats currently. My 4th master passed away in February
Aw, she gave him a nuggie! What a gorgeous baby! God bless you, sweet girl! Thank you for taking such good care of her! Btw, I just went over to their website and saw when she was just 12 weeks old. My heart exploded!!
Yeah from what I can tell Lynx would be a way better pet than a bobcat, Bobcats seem super hyper and not affectionate but Lynx are super chill and friendly.
I think they get used to it, my dad often plays loud music and loud sound on movies around his cat and it don't even bother to move to a different room
Now, that is just adorable. Really gentle but you still have to give her respect for being an animal of the wild and sometimes reacting because of her instincts. Beautiful cat.
My cat headbutts me to say hello all the time. She jumps up on the table next to my computer where I work and leans way forward on the edge and chirp meows until I lean in to acknowledge her presence and then she gives a really happy headbutt while she purrs and rubs her cheeks against your face. It is so cute! She sometimes prefers this to petting even... just rubbing faces. I just adore all cats! The Egyptians knew what was up from day one.
I am exactly the same, I love cats better than most people. I would love to get to touch a big cat-although I would still be afraid!, wonder if I could see her if I travel there?
Gorgeous cat. You guys are so lucky to be able to interact with one of these animals. She's obviously been raised around a lot of people, because she doesn't seem shy. The C. Lynx is usually afraid of people.
This mentality is why we need to worry about the wild population. "It's cute! I want one!" Sometimes these videos with good intentions do more harm than good.
@@kyleendrake2638 There's a worry there surely, but there is also many videos of them been hunted down and killed along with Mt lions in the cruelest way with dogs!
@@gerrywhelan5761 Wildlife behaving like wildlife (animals eating other animals to survive) is the natural order of things. When humans get involved, that balance is upset. As a kid we had a German Shepherd/ Wolf Hybrid that loved Cats.... one day he ran away and came back with a kitten that we found out later was a bobcat
My Dog Mary adopted a Calico kitten she discovered almost frozen, Her eyes were still closed, she was so brand new !To our amazement she actually began to lactate, Do you know she suckled that kitten till she was ready for solid food, Ain't Love Grand? Bless you
Wow, she knows how to be social, that's just awesome. Cats seem to have such intrinsic bonds with humans that doesn't involve training, just spontaneous acceptance. That's a super bridge to the wild world we get to enjoy without being forced.
She acts just like our little tabby cat in that she likes to chill out, and be affectionate, and get showered with loving attention, but also likes to play-fight, and get a little rowdy sometimes. She's sooooo beautiful.
I saw one of these Lynx a month ago next to my property in Washington State (Northern Cascades) a month ago. A local guy said you'll never see that again. Then, two mornings ago on the way to work I saw another lynx was really cool..beautiful animal..what amazed me the most was how slow, calculated and graceful the first one I saw moved. The 2nd one was running across street..I'm told they're Canadian Lynx, Surprised they come all the way down into Washington if true.
Man, I love these and bobcats. They remind me of wolverines, in that they have an obscene amount of power packed into that relatively small body. Just beautiful.

So beautiful and elusive , I’ve only ever seen tracks and they’re quit common where I live .
So cute ❤❤❤❤❤

really!
Being a Canadian Lynx she is polite and friendly!
And free vet care
She is wonderful!
Just put a comma after Lynx to avoid misunderstanding

So envious
That’s gotta be a great day when you spot that kind of amazing animal in the wild.
You can see by her body language she's being friendly and sociable, and the human presence doesn't bother her
I bet you she's thinking, those humans are SO loud... but that's okay, I still like them :)
Amazing, considering the annoyingly loud shouting voice that guy has.
She´s absolutely gorgeous. And you can tell she´s been very well treated by people that care a lot for her.
Good stuff.
Haven't heard "good stuff" since about 1986.

The interviewer is CLEARLY not a cat person. He missed two chances for an awesome cat head bump which is the universal cat sign for love. Too bad.
