Such incredible animals. I will never forget seeing one in a animal sanctuary and the way it looked at me straight in the eyes for a good 20 seconds. Beautiful.
Lol right cause like we’re weak af without weapons but then when we have weapons we kill everything. Hunting is a fuckin sport now, while other animals have to hunt to survive lol
My sleek house cat stood flat footed and jumped 7 feet straight up onto small storage shed I was building as I put down the first sheet of plywood, landed on all four feet. He couldn't stand it anymore he had to see what I was building from the top down. Cats are amazing animals.
Lynx never seem to show much agression to humans. Bobcats seem to show more but that is usually when they have been caught in a trap or the human has a dog with them. Lynx seem to be very chill when they encounter humans.
I had a male cat who could do that. Standing start to the top of the sliding glass door to pounce on an insect on the other side of the glass. You'd just hear this brrrip! as his back claws helped launch him off the carpet. 21 pounds and all muscle. Sweet little guy though... I miss him.
***** Have you ever encountered one in the wild? I have and they run like a shot when they see people. They just don't threaten people. I have to laugh at this guy in the video. He says he's nervous around two lynx.....he's the one that set up the food situation with them. They have no interest in him.
RuleofFive You're forgetting that they are wild though and still very unpredictable. Just because the ones you have encountered have ran away doesn't mean every Lynx in the world will. Especially since the environment, in which these Lynx have been brought up in, influence/impact their behaviours. Either way it's better to be safe than sorry when in Steve's situation.
ボスちゃん "Either way it's better to be safe than sorry when in Steve's situation. " "Steve" put himself in that situation with a camera man filming the whole thing. People aren't a target for Lynx because we're too big. Yes they're hunters but even lions won't risk their lives to attack say a male elephant. Lynx are the same way. People are misinformed about the false dangers of a lot of animals and sometimes that ignorance gets these animals killed. Its not right.
RuleofFive Yes, Steve put himself in that situation. But that still doesn't mean he shouldn't take the necessary precautions to keep himself safe. Besides Lynx and almost any wild animals are still very unpredictable; the majority of the Lynx species may not hunt larger animals. However, like I said, each animal is not going to act in the same way. Nature isn't 90% predictable, so anything can happen. I mean, you have generalised a whole species of lions. Saying that they won't attack a male elephant. However there have been recordings of lions attacking grown elephants.
Midnight Lynx Lol no you're not. I do that to pretty much every feline animal on Earth - even lions! When I see nature documentaries on lions and they cut to a lionness, I go: "Awww kitty-kitty!"
+Fastbuddy777 Wow I did not see that at all. Well spotted. There could others. I mean the three we have seen are defintely used to being near humans so it's probably in a park where there are others.
Hilarious, comedic, funny if you will. I could never, NEVER stoop so low as to make such a pathetic joke, imagine that, a higher being such as myself climbing down the ranks of society so far to that of even reading the comment of a peasant.
We had barn cats on the farm and any one of them could jump that high. I saw a barn cat climb a ladder 20 feet high, grab a pheasant chick in its mouth and leap back down touching just one rung of the ladder. I have seen barn cats walk into the swamp and swim across without hesitation. Also, I have see cats panting like a dog after running flat out for a long distance. House cats have lost most of their physical abilities due to lack of exercise and over weight.
Nice video. Sorry if they said it already (i have sound off), but does Lynx attack people? I mean, if I encounter him out in the wilderness, is he going to attack me?
The Lynx are solitary animals that are rarely seen in the wild and will most likely avoid you (flee/hide) unless you pose a direct threat to themselves, young or food/territory.
I live in northern Michigan about an hour south of the bridge. Been seeing a bobcat on my trail cams cruising around on my trails. Pretty cool animals.
They are quite dangerous guys if you've ever seen one up close. They are like gigantic houscats but more muscular and with even bigger claws and teeth. If provoked and with no route to flee, they could kill a not very fit, underly dressed person of 5 feet or under.
Ill make a video I'll wear leather gloves and sweat pants and sweater and I'll go hunt 1 with my bear hands. If I see a black bear under 150lbs I'll fight it instead.
MEH, it barely jumped at all, just reached up and grabbed it and they can easily jump so their back feet are 2 meter off the ground if they want to. Cats are doing what they normally do and the dude is a total joke....
+Amalia Synolaki Yes and No, they are in the same family, but they are both adapted to different climates/areas, they are slight differences, but thats what make organisms unique!

maybe because Lynx was not a domestic cat? They are wild, and they can kill human.
