Ppl always call me mad for using the Warriors armor package, that the weight "isn't worth it"
I cannot count how many times those composites actually ended up saving me from things like auto cannons and explosive rounds xD
If it looks cool it's enough for me , the best armor package is the BMP-2D it's fucking smexy af
I varies from vehicle to vehicle, Warrior's add on is probably worth it, but vehicles like the centauro romor or stryker are definitely hindered by their add on because of how little it protects them and how much it impacts their speed (which in those vehicles is very important). It probably doesn't matter on the BVM because the package doesn't really impact the tank's power to weight and it seems to offer pretty decent protection but who knows honestly.

@@deathsgrim6895 I've played a lot of stryker, I think the slat armor saves me maybe 1/100 times and its completely useless against apfsds which is mostly what you fight. Regardless, you also have to realize the extent to which it decreases your horsepower per ton. Currently, the styker is barely faster than the MBTs it fights, especially off road, which means that your ability to actually position yourself and play like other wheeled vehicles can is severely limited. I don't think they should remove it, but an option to take it off would be really nice
Yes, I’ve once survived 1 v 2 against bmp1 with my warrior, that add on armor really helps
That thing on the back of the T80U-BVM is a "rebreather". Under it there is the radiator, when crossing rivers or lakes they add a pipe on the that thing and it allows the engine to work underwater. Its diagonally because if something goes wrong and the tank gets stuck underwater it doesn't block the drivers hatch (gun barrel)
so is this tank watertight? apart from the engine/radiator and maybe gun barrel?
It's not a T-80U but an upgraded T-80B
Wish they added TUSK armor package the Abrams that helps protect from random shaped charges but it look nice

The best thing about the Chinese/Russian MBT stock grind is that you can just use HE shells.

I don't had a problem to grind DM-33 on 2A5 with HEAT
I've killed the BVM with heat by repeatedly blasting their sides until their armor gave out.
Throw so much shit at the wall, and some of it might stick.

Gaijin buffed all the Top Russian MBTs in this update, with the increase of Side Era effectiveness against angled shots. Thermals are bugged, but you can fix it by setting "Effects resolution" from Very High to just High. Not sure if the setting is called exactly like that since i play in russian tho.
I was never a fan of the T-80, till seeing one of the more recent packages on video in a current event eat about 5 Javelin and 3 Kornet strikes while successfully running off and eviscerating the infantry that had taken the shots. Not saying whom, but not whom the biggest voices we hear in the west would say for certain.
those tanks are pretty much the last I would wish to encounter as infantry, and the T90m with its remote machinegun looks nasty too.

-weight: 42 tons
-protection: 700-800mm both on the hull and the turret except the weakspots.
M1A2:
-Weight: 62 tons
- Protection: >700mm on the turret cheeks, >400mm on the hull.

for some reason those ERA plates on the sides are modeled as one in the damage model so its actual chemical protection is like 600mm in total which makes me kinda sad tbh
Yeah I wondered about this - as it is 2 x 600 mm.
So it should beat HOTs and stuff.
Probably they modeled it together for simplicity, like the two separate engines modeled as one of the S-tank.

@@monkeypuppies444 My stats in BVM (got over 500 kills in it and died 400 times) are similar to T-80U.
The best thing is the improved vertical targeting speed.
The newer generation thermal is more for the eyes then for actual performance.
I just use thermal to spot targets in the woods or when playing at night.
But your right, the best MBT is the 2A6 as it have less flaws then BVM but the BVM comes closely next.
M1A2 third.
The the column is less clear and a bit blurred as the other top tier MBTs all have major flaws that limit their gameplay somehow.
JustinPlays Germans don't have a better vertical targeting speed though oO 2A5 and 2A6 have the same as the T-72B3 and T-80BVM
Basically, a TUSK package for the T-80. Very nice.
I really want to see more of the Abrams like the M1A2 with TUSK and the M1A2C with the upgraded armor and the trophy APS in the game
I wanna see modern rounds for the Abrams that can pen Russian tanks like butter. And before you say that’s over powered, there’s 3 modern Russian tanks in the game and not a single modern Abrams.

Can you do a video on the m4a3e2 sherman (the second jumbo with the 76 mil) its pretty fast and the only rly scary thing is a tiger2H. It basically is a t80 at 6.0 with a higher profile.

Hey, Justin, for night games, how do you make your crosshair red? Sometimes when I'm in a match it will be red but other times its not
Look for "Sight illumination", I believe the name was. Should be under common controls

Its a legit effective armor it actually saved the T80BVM from angled side shots. I wish the add on armor would somehow affect its speed but its still so fast.

@@younicorn2079 You sound completely stupid right now. 1. your view on "how early a t80bvm is supposed to reach the middle of the map" is completely subjective and based on nothing.
2. That extra ton gives it a HP/ton of 26.5 instead of 27.1. Thats a .6 hp/ton difference which is barely anything. I think you overestimate how much this weight would affect an already heavy tank with an insanely powerful engine.
It would be like saying adding 2 tons more to the Leopard 2 or m1a2 abrams would tremendously slow it down which would obviously be bullshit because it would affect it only by a small margin

Yea abrams are loud up close but at distance they are silent due to the resonance the engine produces.. in warthunder though it’s a jet engine sound 24/7

Where do you shoot at the front of a BVM?
Lower front plate or gun breech, not sure about the driver's port and turret ring you might want to test that out.
Lower glacis, drivers viewport, breech. Also you can shoot commanders cupola if you see just the turret.
