Installation takes about an hour and you can complete the task yourself by using these basic hand tools: Small flat head screwdriver, a Phillips-head screwdriver, a T25 torques screwdriver, a T27 torques screwdriver, a pop-clip removal tool, a 5/32 Allen socket, 3/16 Allen socket and a Ratchet wrench.
Harley riders with Boom! 1 or Boom! 2 audio systems, follow these installation steps to ensure your new Soundstream HDHU.14si works flawlessly (all other riders will not have to complete these steps):
How to locate your BIN code in your factory GT radio:
(1) Power on your bike to accessory power
(2) When the "Warning" screen appears on your head unit you're going to cover the mute and power button (lower right hand corner of the screen) with your thumb until the service menu appears - it'll take 5 seconds or so.
(3) When the service menu appears, you're going to select: Audio -- EQ -- then select the "i" icon for information.
(4) At this point you'll see something on the screen such as: Current EQ version: 17_OFF.bin Load new EQ?
For this example, you'd load your BIN number as 017 into the Soundstream radio following the instructions below the GTS radio instructions.
Before proceeding to the next step below, make sure to hit "No" on the screen.
How to locate your BIN code in your factory GTS radio:
(1) hold your finger on the power/mute button while turning on ignition
(2) hold the power/mute button until the head unit powers up into the service menu - it'll take about 10 seconds.
(3) When the service menu appears, release your finger
(4) Press Audio
(5) Press EQ
(6) Press the "i" button on the right hand side of the screen
(7) Then, your current BIN number will be displayed. It will say something like: Current EQ version: 178_OFF.bin. Load new EQ?
For this example, you'd load your BIN number as 178 into the Soundstream radio following the instructions below.
Before proceeding to the next step below, make sure to hit "No" on the screen.
Now, when you have your new Soundstream HDHU.14si plugged into the bike and powered up, do the following:
(1) Go to the main screen
(2) Select "Motorcycle Info"
(3) Press the three horizontal dots in the upper right-hand corner of the screen
(4) Press "Vehicle Settings"
(5) Select "Amp Settings"
(6) Select "Audio System"
(7) This is the step you'll enter your BIN number found above. Tap each number the number of times for each number. So, if you wanted the code 178, you'd tap the first box 1 time, the second box 7 times and the third box 8 times. Then, hit okay.
(8) Then it will ask you to confirm your selection and then select yes.

I ordered the none i version for my 17 RGU with the Rockford Fosgate amp and speakers… you guys are great and great customer service. May I suggest making a video for a complete install… I know Rockford has theirs… but a little help with the harness…. I figured it by watching your vid’s and theirs… would like to see how you manage the harness organization… I gave up for today… will tackle them tomorrow. Great stuff though!
Great video! I just watched while installing the sound stream on my 17 RGS. Any idea what lights replaced the original blinker/running lights? I want them.

Great video just had two questions how does it do in rain and do I have to replace any of my charging system ?
I have this unit on my bike and it was great until I washed my bike. Now it randomly turns on without the ignition on or me anywhere near my bike. I've left multiple voicemails and emails and it's been a week and I've still not heard anything back from anyone. Very disappointed...

Any difference with 2016 CVO road glide Ultra?
I have a question, in my 2017 Street Glide CVO, if I push the button on the right of the handlebar, on the original screen I see the outside temperature, is this function also available in this new radio?

It’s unfortunate it’s not compatible if you’re running the Thundermax ECM tuner. But the other soundestream Reserve unit works
I have thundermax as well. Is the reserve unit different ?
Maybe you need the handle bar controle unit ???
@@jaapski82 it’s the digital gauges from the head unit that don’t reflect accurately or even work at all with the Thundermax. Unless they’ve released an update that is now compatible
my radio on a Street-Glide CVO 2018 with 3 Amps has a problem; front left lower speaker and rear right saddlebag speaker does not work
What about the GPS? I am pissed odd with the stock one coming in my 2018 CVO Street Glide. It takes too much time to enter any address, it doesn’t allow voice orders (whether any cheaper car’s GPS allows it) and of course as it doesn’t have Apple Car you can’t send the address from your Iphone’s Google Maps!
How do you connect the amp remote wire?
The remote wire is the blue wire in our harness. It has a connector on it to fit the Precision Power amp but the connector can be removed / cut off and you can connect the bare wire to any remote on port on an amp.
