I just turned 74 and i stated camping just 4 years ago. I travel 6-8 months of the year now. I have stayed at RV parks mostly but you have inspire me to expand my travel options. This coming week my 22' camper will be upgraded with a 250AH battery, 2200W inverter, battery monitor and solar so I can visit those beautiful places as you do. I depart June 25 for a 3 month excursion to Arizona, Utah, Colorado and South Dakota. 90% will be boondocking. Thank you for your inspiration and God bless you.

4 years is awhile. Congradulations. I think we have been on the road for about 4 years. It certainly went by fast. That you for all your hard work. You are a Sunday/Monday tradition in our rig.
I wanted to share with you my story of buying my truck. I went to the dealership and met a real nice young salesman who proceeded to show me this wonderful 4 x 4 truck. We got to talking about towing and camping. It came up in the conversation that I watched a UA-cam channel about a young woman who started a nomadic life living in her truck camper. I mentioned your name Catherine and he said “I watch that channel too!” Can you believe that the salesman selling me a truck also watched you? You are well known Catherine! We had a lot to talk about that salesman and I! A lot of the conversation centered around your wonderful videos and all of the incredible information you’ve shared and how you have inspired so many people to try this wonderful lifestyle. I did purchase the truck and it’s sitting out in my driveway right now waiting to be loaded up and hitched to my tiny trailer. We hope to take off next week. Thank you for all you do! We love you ❤❤❤

Very good advice, Cat! I would venture to say that fear is the number one reason people stay locked into their humdrum lives. It is a big hurdle to overcome for a lot of people. I think what is so great is how you represent a portion of the overall RV/Camping community and lifestyle! You present how to go solo into the vast wilderness and spaces, and experience such in the manner that works best for your needs; (contentment, peace of mind, serenity, and such!). Then, you capture them in your footage to play back for those of us to view; for some to enjoy through your channel, but also to help guide and promote to others of where to go for themselves. Admittedly, I like being in group aspects in the Wild; (I guess its the safety in numbers thing for me), but I truly appreciate your sense of solo adventure that you find so rewarding! The main thing is that no one's style is wrong or right; it is just how they feel they receive the greatest benefit from the experience! We have been subscribers and HUGE fans for a few years now. I've often wondered why your channel hasn't grown faster. I have no answer but, I want to thank you sincerely for not taking your channel in the direction so many other beautiful women have. I have enormous respect for how you present youself and your adventures.
I now that doesn't put dollars in your pocket but as you said, you are rich in so many ways.
Side note: Robin and I are in Asheville, NC caring for her mother. That delayed our arrival in Yellowstone until July 2. Stop by if you get up that way - and bring Joey!

I have been crippled for about 6 years just bad knees can't hike anymore but enjoy traveling just seeing everything, 4 months out of the year I'm on the road it's great love it
Enjoyed your thoughtful advice to others. When my dodge truck needed $2600 worth of repairs on the front end , I was sorry that I had bought a Mini chain saw and a mattress from RV not because the mattress was uncomfortable but because of the money I had spent before I knew that I had the repairs coming up. A friend said "You cannot make todays decision on tomorrows worries." I am very glad that you made your decision on todays knowledge not on what might happen. I have smiled every time I have seen you lay your rug outside your rig and set your chair and table out. You are saying "this is my home". I think it is wonderful and I think you are wonderful. Thank you for what you do.

4 years ! I really appreciated this honest talk. I just started my maiden journey and wondered what I’m doing right and wrong. I’m spending so much money and you pointed out exactly how you did it too. I’m just on a journey. Destination unknown. But as I drive, it becomes me & my SUVtogether pulling my small travel trailer. Learning about them on the road, over the mountains & thru the woods. It’s been a wet few months , as winter turns to “Spring” it’s still raining & snowing where I’ve gone ! So many State Parks aren’t open yet , dirt is mud yep! and boy am I “getting my feet wet “!
The battery gets drained running the furnace. Or the 12v fan ( for cooking). Keeping an eye on management and maintenance. But I’m learning! The solar panels would not have helped me in this rainy weather . But if they’re working - gotta love the silence. 💕 !
Using and staying on BLM land has me wondering how you manage your water - one tank will not last 14 days. Can you talk on that ?

Where has the time gone? Four years has passed since those first camper boondocks that hooked me and the great backpacking trips to places ive been in my younger years. If someone wants to know your secret sauce, i say it is your authenticity and stunning photography/videography. Im a camper person forever but your upgrade impressed me and putting together your pick-up bed camping set up was brilliant too. I dare say, you have a devoted group of us who will keep watching as long as you stay true to youself. Safe journeys, always.
