You can flip the front crash bars from right to left and left to right and give the the clearance you need. Have to remove front bumper which is four bolts. Cut the two bolts on each side of the crash bar and replace with new ones. Have 315/70/17 on my 2017 F-150, no level kit just stock height and no rubbing at all.
The only purpose that crash bar has is to make it so the F-150 can barely pass the IIHS's offset crash test. Yea it 'might' save your tie rods and wheels from a 15MPH offset crash but in a serious crash that metal piece would serve no extra protection.

Trailblazer Films Yea. That was good that you pointed that out at the beginning. A lot of times you have to work with what you have. 1) Cut the bottom protruding part of the bolts off first. That will buy you a little wiggle room. 2) @ 5:53 - Unscrew the bolts up all the way. 3) Leave the 15mm wrench on the bolts (so that they don't spin) and get a mini angle grinder in there and cut the bolts off flush with the frame. 4) Slide off the crash bars. It'll take some finesse. Voila!
You can run a 33X11.5 on stock wheels and a 2in level with no trimming. You can run a 33.5X12 with around a 25 offset. Is cutting your truck up really worth it for 1 in in height and 1/2 in width. I’m running 295/70/17 on an 17X8 with a +24 offset. I have just a slight poke no problem with stones ripping up my truck not even close to rubbing during full articulate and at full lock. Everyone is saying about cutting the crash bars and accidents. It doesn’t even need to be a serious accident. The stock bumper (not much to it) can be pushed back into the tire and tear up the suspension with a low spend crash. Could be the difference between your truck being fixed or totaled.
How was the ride quality with the wheel spacers? The wheels I want don't poke out enough how I want them to. I could go the custom route, but that's more expensive, and I don't wanna put that much money just for the wheels.

Thanks for the Lesson! Now i know!!
👊🏼
I just notch my crash bars. Anyone else? I’d hate to lose some crash rating/safety features just for bigger tires
Just cut the bolts off and slide the crash bar out.
This is exactly what I was looking for for my 2017! Now I know what needs to be done! Thanks for the video!! 👍

Did you notice a major difference in mileage and handling?
Take care 👍
Teo P mileage went down about 2-3mpgs & handling I felt it improved. So it’s a double edge sword for sure. Don’t forget to subscribe!
Wouldn’t it have been easier just to cut the bolts
33s is the perfect size for f150.
Definitely 35s are too big 33's look the best
@@chrisshields9983 37's bro
33 with only a leveling kit yea. If you want 35+ you'll need alot mods
What’s the biggest size tire that you could fit without trimming you think?
Honestly you can prob fit a 35” tire with a wheel that has correct offset & just a leveling kit
Now that’s how a truck is supposed to look
Thanks!
Whats the offset
Whats the offset of the rims???
They’re zero offset. Puts them about half inch outside fender depending on tire brand & size.
Dirt Riding Carbajal he says it in the video
I’m running 35/14.50r16’s on a 88 f250 with just a leveling kit and very minor trimming lol
Always been a fan of those! Sure it looks killer! Thanks for watching please make sure to subscribe!
should have cut the bolts and saved the crash bars.
You definitely have some aliment issue with those original tires you took off
That is their to keep your legs from being crushed!!!!
So now that you cut that off I sure hope that he never trades it off the next person will think they have a truck that is safe and not cut a valueble safety feature
Still safer than other manufacturers. Did you not hear the part about them only being on super crews...? Makes you wonder, huh?
Truck had a 5 star frontal impact rating, now it does not. LOL another over use of editing tools and missing the whole point of just showing a clean before and after pic.
Yeah I know. Now it has Chevy ratings but truck looks good lol. Wouldn’t do it to my truck this was my brother in laws. Thanks for watching.
Please start using jack stands, hydraulic lifts fail!
Sweet looks great 👻👍🏁.
Thanks yeah I think it looks great also!
Your passenger might like to have the crash bar left there instead of the tire Crushing their legs
Bro cut the bolt you can use a new one on the future just the nut on top 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼. Better and cut small frame. To late 😂😂😂😂😂
The comments because you removed the bar, bet most of them dont even own a truck lmao
Right 😂 if it was so important why isn’t welded in? Oh well. Thanks for watching!
What level kit is on truck?
2.5” leveling spacer on top of strut.
dd4848123123 what brand leveling did you use?
Anare Vilawa I have a 2018 lariat and used a motofab 1.5 level
Where’s the raptor?
Explanation of that coming in the next video, also of new project.
Trailblazer Films oh no. Hope you didn’t sell it already.
Just don’t. Without a suspension lift, stick with 33” tires.
nice vid.. tire made a big difference
When fate tells you no but you do it anyways.
KO2s in 317/70 17s are not 35s though. They are listed as 34.4 from BFG. And closer to 33.2 when measured in real world. Nice video work though
Thanks for the info & for watching!
An a 35 isn't a 35 if you measure it 🤷🏽♂️ my 315/70s bg Goodrich where bigger then my 35 nittos
Damn they look bigger then 35’s!
Yeah having 17” wheels definitely makes the tires look a lot bigger than they are. Thanks for watching!
I would have returned the old charger lol
