My ex said we were done. So when I went over to get some stuff from her house and all my stuff was still in the exact same place . Pictures were still up. Clothes were still in the dresser. She had me stay the night with her. We had sex in the AM before I left. I also left a lot of stuff behind on purpose to see her reaction and she never said a word. I also gave her back her house key but apparently at some point in the night she put it back in the pocket of my jeans. Gives me hope!!

The most surprising was meeting a girl twice in friend groups, and having her ask to be my GF and move in after that second gathering. Could be a rebound. My brothers GF of 4 years broke up with him about 8 months ago. After 6 months she start contacting him. But he has moved on. He was devastated at first but realized that she wasn’t right for him. They were not aligned. He’s much happier now. He’s doing work on himself too.

Heard from my ex today out of the blue, 1 week before we would have been together had we not broken up 7 months ago. She wanted photos I took of her art work. It's really confused me and upset me as I still feel as much in love with her as I did before we broke up. I said I hope you don't hate me and her response was of course I don't. I haven't talked to my ex (of 10 years together) in over 5 years and I always wanted to get back in touch to just say hello again, and she just suddenly passed away 2 weeks ago and I'm so sad we never got to talk again and I've been wondering if she still cared for me at all. She always kept in contact with my mom (they were close) and would ask about how my most recent relationship was going sometimes and would comment on pictures of me on my mom's Facebook. It's been a really hard time as I've always cared for her even though we went our separate ways.

If you keep working on yourself and become a better person, then she won’t be naive enough to think that your feelings and interests can’t change (and also that the number of other people interested in you can’t increase). Like maybe she isn’t attracted to the person you are now, but will find the new improved version of you attractive - and then she will realize “even though he told me he’d wait for me, what if he doesn’t feel the same way NOW? With the new him, he probably has more girls interested him than he had in the past when he told me he’d wait for me… I better try to get him back before it’s too late…” This is why self-improvement is king. Go get therapy. Change your crowd to more positive people. Work out your body. Learn new things. Become a high-value person.

Listen, Craig, mine has done all of the above. (I'm not looking for advice, just vent) One day called me angry even saying she didn't wanna see me anymore (She broke up with me, because of my depression; I understand the emotional toll) but then she proceeded to call me 4 days after that and I ignored the call because I didn't want her to be yelling at me again. Then she called me 4 more days after that and talked to me on the phone: "Told me how am I moving on so fast, and even asked me if I was gonna' ever try again, ti which I replied: "I'm not going backwards from this point on" She: "No, no I'm not thinking of going back, no, it isn't that; I was wondering if in the future" Me: "I can't promise you anything". When I was about to hang up, she said: "Am I ever going to hear from you again?" and I said that I am not going to be sitting right next to my phone waiting for her to call as life doesn't wait for anybody.... A week after that she called again about some bills we need to put under her name and I replied very short and sweet: "Oh, yeah, I'll do that, ok, bye" Her: "But wait! What have you been up to?" Me: "Just hanging out, looking for jobs and doing.... stuff" Her: "Are you seeing anyone? Have you met people yet?" Me: "Yeah, I've met a lot of people." I wanted to hangout and she was trying to tell me about her day and other things I honestly don't care about since it is late for that. She took me out of her life and noe wants free psychology. At first I was like:" Oh she is contacting me, wow!" Now, Craig, I'm getting annoyed as hell. Now, the kicker, I went to get my 55' TV 3 weeks after the breakup and she wanted me to keep the dog for the night, I said I couldn't because I was gonna' do something at night. That same night, she called me twice at 10:30 pm and I didn't pick up. I was out having a good time. Next day She texts me: "I called you last night because something happened to Oreo(The Dog) and I wanted to know your opinion".... Really? Like, really!?!?!?!?!
After a 12 year relationship my ex has monkey branched back to me twice now after she dumped me on both occasions. In my experience her rebounds didn't work out and she was in crisis, that's when she reached out, both times. I took her back the second time reluctantly, we lasted 3 years before l ended things. I suggested we go to relationship counseling to help break this cycle but she won't come along. I can only move forward from here.
God!! I'm such an idiot, my girlfriend was chasing me and doing all the pursuing and she complaint about me not care about her, then I started to chase her, say all the googoo gaga lovely things to her and become clingy and insecure. She is turned off now, HOW DO I GET HER BACK?

Like maybe she isn’t attracted to the person you are now, but will find the new improved version of you attractive - and then she will realize “even though he told me he’d wait for me, what if he doesn’t feel the same way NOW? With the new him, he probably has more girls interested him than he had in the past when he told me he’d wait for me… I better try to get him back before it’s too late…”

Broken up mid September, initiated no contact November 27th - 5 year relationship
Since then she’s tagged me in a Facebook post a few days ago but nothing more - last I spoke to her she still had our memorabilia she picked up from mine in her car despite being in a rebound a week after we split 🙄
Listen, Craig, mine has done all of the above. (I'm not looking for advice, just vent) One day called me angry even saying she didn't wanna see me anymore (She broke up with me, because of my depression; I understand the emotional toll) but then she proceeded to call me 4 days after that and I ignored the call because I didn't want her to be yelling at me again. Then she called me 4 more days after that and talked to me on the phone: "Told me how am I moving on so fast, and even asked me if I was gonna' ever try again, ti which I replied: "I'm not going backwards from this point on"
She: "No, no I'm not thinking of going back, no, it isn't that; I was wondering if in the future"
Me: "I can't promise you anything".
When I was about to hang up, she said: "Am I ever going to hear from you again?" and I said that I am not going to be sitting right next to my phone waiting for her to call as life doesn't wait for anybody.... A week after that she called again about some bills we need to put under her name and I replied very short and sweet: "Oh, yeah, I'll do that, ok, bye"
Her: "But wait! What have you been up to?"
Me: "Just hanging out, looking for jobs and doing.... stuff"
Her: "Are you seeing anyone? Have you met people yet?"
Me: "Yeah, I've met a lot of people."
I wanted to hangout and she was trying to tell me about her day and other things I honestly don't care about since it is late for that. She took me out of her life and noe wants free psychology. At first I was like:" Oh she is contacting me, wow!" Now, Craig, I'm getting annoyed as hell. Now, the kicker, I went to get my 55' TV 3 weeks after the breakup and she wanted me to keep the dog for the night, I said I couldn't because I was gonna' do something at night. That same night, she called me twice at 10:30 pm and I didn't pick up. I was out having a good time. Next day She texts me: "I called you last night because something happened to Oreo(The Dog) and I wanted to know your opinion".... Really? Like, really!?!?!?!?!
After a 12 year relationship my ex has monkey branched back to me twice now after she dumped me on both occasions. In my experience her rebounds didn't work out and she was in crisis, that's when she reached out, both times.
I took her back the second time reluctantly, we lasted 3 years before l ended things.
I suggested we go to relationship counseling to help break this cycle but she won't come along. I can only move forward from here.

My ex girlfriend finished with me, after 2 months I went into no contract whatsoever, she text me out of the blue to tell me her new boyfriend dumped her cause he found a photo of me and her daughter... She puts it across like he's very controlling (saying he will cause ww3 if he didn't block me... Even though he has no way to know who I am as I'm not on any of her socials). I just took my time to respond, she kept talking about how the photo brought all her emotions up again.... Then a few messages later she says "think we (her and her new bf) will work things out and that she just needed to check something first before.... My gut feeling is she's not happy, but is still playing mind games.
