Hey Lintaro-kun, great memories of hanging out in Berlin. Thanks for coming down to meet up. Next time I'll try to visit you and your family in Hamburg. I'll bring my wife and cousin, and Kenny should join us!!
What happened to Eric Kim recently ? That was a great story you shared of how you met him and it’s a great kindness for someone you’ve met for the first time to treat you like that. This was a good video. It’s been a time and some since there was a great video with you in it. It’s great seeing you riffing about your past too. Samuel is a great host and foil which makes him great interviewer material.
@@MarcS4R once upon a time Eric Kim bought a Leica and a summicron and displayed great confidence and enthusiasm. To the extent he felt he could teach other people photography. He seems to only use a GR3 and a Go Pro nowadays and seems to be putting out content which no one understands except him. Maybe he just doesn’t want to be a great photographer anymore or a source of inspiration to others. Maybe the stress of that broke him.
As the saying goes, for those that like that sort of thing, that is the sort of thing they like.... Walkn' talks about all things photography with passionate photographers. I love this stuff. Thanks Sam for bringing this one to us.
Throw all your self help books in the bin. Photography, life, philosophy. This has it all. Awesome video guys thanks. Think I'll have to watch it again!
I follow Take on social media from some years now, and I just love him. He is a really genuine person. Love his approach to people, very honest and nice. Always a pleasure to listen to him. Lots of street photographers should learn from him ! 👍
This is gold, really enjoyed the conversation. A lot of great advice shared. I was rooting for you to find the other twin, I think you should have tried harder 😂
Take is my favorite UA-camr. Thanks for bringing us this extended interview. I especially loved the intro talking about the Japanese book from the 30’s. Take is a great historian of photography.
This episode is priceless! This is the type of content that photography channels need. I would happily see another hour long episode like this any time.
One of the most fascinating conversations you've had with a guest so far. I'm going to share this video with my wife and other friends who have zero interest in photography as there are so many wonderful insights on life and creativity provided here that are applicable to all. Thank you Samuel and Take!
Great video! I could follow Take around all day and just listen to him talk to people. He always seems so interested in everything and everyone around him and comes off so genuine and wholesome.
I've listened it yesterday, I'm listetnig today. This is just perfect content! Im podcast person, so this type of "talking and walking" heads suits me as hell. Perfect!
Wow, this must be the best episode of OTSW so far (and I enjoyed them all!). Take gave so many valuable tips and shared his knowledge and experience with us. Thanks for making this video. More feature-long videos please 😉
Awesome. Thank you both. You should meet at least twice a year to motivate us with your excellent thoughts and insights. This is what really makes photography a wonderful peace of life: passion.
loved this video, Take is very engaging and you are the prefect foil for his observations, philosophy and advice. I'll look for him on the Streets of Vancouver.
I really enjoyed this video It came out in a natural way and that’s why I love these kind of videos Just rolling on the streets and having a nice talk about photography ….
And the award for most interesting interactions in an "on the streets" goes to Take Kayo! Great job Samuel! It's always a pleasure to watch this series. 🤩
Awesome type of content, really enjoy the "spending time with" feeling that this video has, and the info and inspiration that it gives, looking forward for more of this series!!
Bro this was the best street life video yet what an interesting walk around Berlin with Take the random encounters were great. If everyone interacted like this on the street photography would be so cool. Dont take a photo I'm a twin lol that's the best.
@@bigheadtaco Lol you guys had some random encounters I'm glad we got to see that. Also some great knowledge from you two. Specially your summing up of courage in street photography. No excuses now Haha.
wow- 119 minutes went by so fast. a lot of big take aways with this episode. a lot of life lessons and great talking points that make you think about ones self. great job Sam & Take.
Well, you're growing here Samuel. Greetings, I'm a UK old age pensioner and I've now watched nearly all of your videos. Primarily because I'm trading in my XPro2 and 5 lenses for a Ricoh GRiii. I think I decided to do it after watching the first one, the others are for reassurance. So thanks, and good luck for the future. I have really enjoyed them.
I'm not into street photography, but listening and watching you guys was very interesting, entertaining, and revealing. Makes me appreciate more your work. Respect!
I truly enjoyed this episode. Take is a "national treasure" in my opinion. Honestly, I've never seen someone who knows so much about photography with such quick memory recall about gear, history and technique and is also a genuinely nice person (+ super creative)! I'm so glad we all got to benefit from the meeting and conversation you both finally had!
Thank you for this episode. Most blog UA-cam episodes are about 10 minutes long. But when we go out and shoot it's 3 maybe 5 hours of adventure. You documented exactly what a photo walk is really like. Keep up the great work. ✌️
Really enjoyed that one I must say. Watched the entire episode, man TaKe can talk, wonderful! Wonder if he ever did the photos with the Cadillac guy in his suit :)
I really like your videos. I love the respectful, humble but not shy way in which you approach those icons of our craft. The security guy was strange 😂
Love this interview. I started as a 6 year old with a Kodak Instamatic before moving to Nikon F3. With film photography you are forced to think about each shot. The excitement was in the film processing, and the dark room procedure. :)

Not a photography video. This was a video about life. Good stuff.
So long as a photographer is proud of their own work pre-recognition, then it feels authentic to me.
Everything in the closing comments was insightful for me. Thank you Take and Samuel
Sam, I enjoy this so much more than I expected to. This is so fun to watch!
Great video especially reviewing that book.
