can we all just appreciate how much both of these amazing people have grown as a photographer? Also, how Samuel has gotten used to being comfy in front of the camera???
Thanks Samuel and Ulysses. That half an hour felt like 10 minutes. Your conversation reminded me of chatting with my mates in school about whatever we were into at the time. Very natural and honest. Can’t wait for the next one and off to check out your photos on ig, Ulysses. Keep them coming Sam, your efforts are appreciated and you’re building a body of work that will be great to look back on in 20+ years time
You're encouraging to shoot street photography through your videos, and you have convinced me that it's a great way to capture random daily moments yet in an authentic way bc everyone see things differently
Enjoyed the casual (but very involved) walk down the boulevard with both of you. Interspersed with some very nice captures. Enjoy the quality work that you always provide too,SLS...thank you...
Lin. I really love these walkie talkie shootie videos. Just talking about street photography with different people is so interesting than just only shooting videos. Even I don't really care if you shoot while walking 😀
This is one of your best interviews/street sessions I’m a huge fan I want to something like this in Los Angeles California. Keep up the good work. Cheers from California
Incredible episode once again! Definitely worth the wait. It's great to just have two people nerding out about different photographers and how they influenced them for 30 minutes. Also, really loved the addition of classical music during some of the earlier scenes! I'm SO excited to see Gustavo Minas on here. One of the best "current" photographers, IMO. Should be an absolute treat! Can't wait to learn more about him.
Mr L, I am really enjoying your superbly produced series & look forward to every episode. Truly inspirational stuff. I can't wait to get out & take some pics after I have watched an episode. Thank you for your hard work, putting these together & sharing them with us. Grüße.
I've been watching since you had like 1k subs and I couldn't figure out why I really love this channel other than basics: content, well shot and about photography. Ive realized its 2 things: your music selection is impeccable and your videos are as much about photos as they are about people. Keep it up! Incredible work. Come to SF and will host you!
Enjoying these videos, many thanks for your work. I like the friendly chatty nature of two friends walking down the street, dropping photos in and mentioning inspirations work well. I found Tokyo a great place to photograph, maybe Ulysses is just going through a bit of a quiet uninspiring time
Awesome video guys. I could relate with a lot of what you said Aoki. Bring your Leica down to Fukuoka sometime so I can get a better touch.. look.. at it.
Really interesting video. I'll have to go back and look up some of the links. Thanks for showing some photos from the photographers mentioned. I didn't know them, so really educational 😊
trove of references here. really like aoki. i got good info from this. tatsuo is pretty hardcore, and sees philosophical purpose even with confrontational style. i have to look into winogrand

lol Ulyssys .... shooting in Tokio and brags about its overrated. XD I'm shooting in a 300k town and it's some kind of ok. you should do a small town challenge 😂
D'Works Hey. I'm not bragging, it depends on what you want for your photography. I've shot in many different countries too. My opinion is that it's not as good as some people think it'll be.
@@UlyssesAokiPhoto Oh hi, Ulysses. If you take a look into Inta the hotspots with real good people (incl you) are NYC, London, and Tokyo. I just can't believe that a city as big as Tokyo is an overrated place. It has just so much more possibilities because of the high amount of people and cultural places.
Follow Ulysses on Instagram: instagram.com/ulysses_aoki/ & his youtube channel: bit.ly/2lNbYBI :)
I really appreciate what Lin is doing with these videos! I believe it shines a light on the art of street photography!
this style of interviewing is brilliant. its the type that you can actually watch. not just two people in front of a desk.
can we all just appreciate how much both of these amazing people have grown as a photographer? Also, how Samuel has gotten used to being comfy in front of the camera???
agreed
Just discovering your comment now! Thank you for the appreciation :) Means a lot!

Who the hell would downvote this?? Thanks for the new Streetlife epi. Love this series and can't wait for the next one already!
I'm really digging those "ON THE STREET WITH!" episodes. It's so interesting to learn how different people approach photography.
absolutely one of my favorite street walk videos

Please bring this back! This is easily the most enjoyable series that you make. And the the potato vlog.
How have I only just found this series? I feel so bad. Would love an episode with EduardoPavezGoye.
Don't feel bad :D Would love to shoot with Eduardo! I'm sure there will be a oppertunity some day.
@@SamuelStreetlife I hope so, that would be awesome!
So true about everything he said in this video. I could spent whole day listening to this type of talks.

Interesting. I am going to Japan in November. Looking forward to it now

@@LandonsLanding Hi, yes I know it's and older video, I was attempting some humor. Didn't work. :-)
Genuinely engaged. Spread the word.
These are so damn good Samuel. Thanks for posting and keep them coming :)
Nice photowalk/interview. Hope I will get there to do what you're doing . 🤙
I like that Cinestill subway photo
One day I hope to go on a photo walk and learn from you guys oof
Oh my god I have hated the lighting at street level in Tokyo for ages and thought it was just me. Virtually no good light makes it to street level.
That was a nice walk 😊👍🏼
love it!!
Photo at 17:38 of Milsons Point train station... you've been in Sydney! Come back again and do some workshops or something please.
Vaughan Bromfield Hi, I went to Sydney and shot some about 3 years ago. Amazing place. Would love to go sometime again.
Thanks for your excellent videos! Great work! And btw where can I buy the Void Tokyo magazines?
Ulysses looked so happy in 2018…
Haha I believe that Ulysses took a model shot of Shion from the "Opening New Doors" Season of Terrace House? So he must be a friend of him. Nice ^_^
Bin 7 Minuten hinterher. Aber ist jetzt schon Dope.
Haha! Danke danke!
Thanks for the vid! have you used some of this footage before? example the wheelchair couple.
His portrait shoots are much more better than his street photography.
青木さんも普通にビックに現像依頼してるんだ…フィルムの色合いがいいですよね☺
Good to stay in contact with "hapas." (Hawaiian term for people who are multiethnic).
