OMG, it feels like eco interview is so terrifying...BTW Do u think IB Eco would be enough for this? I am worried that the only thing I would say there is "sorry, wait a sec..."
So if you wanna study economics at Oxford you basically have to know things from the economics itself before you even start to study? :P I am an econ student myself but we just had some oligopoly models including game theory and nash equlibrium at our second year of studying. How are people supposed know these things after just highschool? How do kids who apply for economics at these top universities learn about the theory of economics while being in highschool? I know that you can self study but damn :d
I think the best way for the game theories prep is honestly to do a couple of those questions (another key word you can search is Nash equilibrium, or brain teasers)! I personally looked at some examples in critical thinking and logic books in case they would surprise me, but honestly I think that basic math olympiad questions and basic game theory question practice suffices!!
Thank you very much 🥰 excellent video 👍 Can i ask what college did you apply to at Oxford & i guess the interviewers will be professors of that particular college?
Is there any suggestions you would like to share as im going through my Masters in Business Economics interview later this 13/8/2020...I dont have much knowledge on econs but please share some tips pleasee
Just out of interest, why didn't you go to Oxford? Seems like you worked really hard to get in and then didnt take the offer, Uchicago is a great university but you said yourself that your goal was Oxford?
Great question! I answered a bunch of similar questions before in other vid comments but the essence is that UChicago was a better fit for my career / studying habits (or so I thought!!) there will definitely be a video about it, I'm just trying to find the right time :)
This is soooo helpfulll! Thank you so much for sharing the Oxford process to us and wish myself luck for applying this year:)
GOOD LUCK!! It's not an easy process but to be entirely honest, it wasn't too difficult either; definitely manageable!! :)
Hi Chloe, what was the answer to working out the 1st game theory question?

This was so helpful, Thank you... How should I prepare? Is there any similar theories like game theory that I should familiarise myself?
