Just put away all my other projects, grabbed my 5.5mm hook, and my jumbo ball of yarns I've been saving for the perfect blanket for my husband's and my bed. This is absolutely stunning and incredibly special, Bonnie! And a full step by step tutorial! How blessed we are by your God-given crochet talent and generosity! I'll keep you posted on my progress. I need your help with the wandering cables poncho, but this first. 😊 God bless you and your loved ones, Bonnie! And yes, our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, is so worthy of all our praises! His work on the cross to save my soul humble me daily. His resurrection and knowing that resurrection power lives in us because His Holy Spirit resides in us is worthy of our praise! And forever He is seated at the right hand of God, because it is finished!! Glory to God, thank you Jesus! No other is as mighty and powerful as our Lord Jesus Christ! Amen and Amen! Blessings!!❤
Amen to that Amber! I so hope you enjoy this one. I think you'll find it a bit easier than the Wandering Cables Poncho. It's still an intermediate design and may be challenging, but I do provide stitch counts all along the way to try to be more helpful. Take care!
What a BEAUTIFUL COMMENT and speak the sentiments of my heart as well…and may I add..IT IS A TESTIMONY/WITNESS
Stunning!!!!!
I love this afghan and what it represents...as you were describing why you chose the stitches that you chose it brought tears to my eyes...you are such a blessing living out what you believe on UA-cam for the whole world to see and it just really spoke to my heart...I love your afghan but I think it is too advanced of a pattern for me...I will have to consider it in the future when I don't have other projects going on 🙂
@BonnieBayCrochet where can I purchase the written pattern
What a beautiful symbol of love for Jesus!
What a beautiful & meaningful Afghan. Anyone who makes this will literally be enveloped in our Lord's love & protection. 🤍🤍🤍
Such a beautiful throw, and such a visual reminder of what Jesus did for all..❤️🙏🌻
That was my overall goal Nadine!
I can't wait to make this.❤
First time that I’ve cried from listening to a crochet’er explain a blanket/ afghan details. This is absolutely beautiful! The thought n meaning that went into this project is such a beautiful testimony to your faith. Thank you, thank you 🙏🏼 thank you for sharing your faith through your craft. I plan on doing this. As I too am I sister in CHRIST. GOD BLESS YOU Bonnie 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
How wonderful! He is everything to my family and me. Can't imagine how folks survive in this world without His continual grace, love and forgiveness - of which I need lots!
Can this Afghan be bigger
It can be made bigger if you work more rounds of the braided cable and celtic weave stitches. You'll be changing the stitch count, but if you don't mind that you can give it at try!

Beautiful comment!!
I’m a Believer, but hearing you relate the story of Salvation through this magnificent design has caused me once again to cry for what Jesus went through to redeem us to God our Father. But also tears of Joy and Thanksgiving for Jesus’ Love for me, You, and all Mankind.
Thank you Bonnie, for your beautiful testimony. 💖✝️💖
Awww... thank you Sheila. Yes, it is overwhelming every time I think of what He has done for me. That's why we can't be silent. It's my greatest joy to share this message in any way I can.
Thank you for sharing this lovely throw. Thank you for also explaining the meanings behind your choice of stitches in this pattern. We have a sure and certain hope in our Lord and Saviour.
We surely do Granny Blanket Sue! Great name!

This is beautiful throw Bonnie. I love how you have explained your thoughts and feelings behind your design too. It’s nice to see someone sharing their faith throughout their crochet creation. Fabulous job. 😊
This is my joy to do this!
I am simply blown away. To God be the Glory for using you and your talent to share the good news of the Gospel. I will be using this project as my Lenting season meditation. Thank you so very much for allowing God to use you in such a unique way.
He is everything to me Michelle. It's the very least I can do. I hope you all enjoy this design! Thanks for your encouraging comment. We are not alone!
I like how you give your designs a higher meaning with the symbology, the design is beautiful. Thank you!
Thank you Frida! I've thought long and hard on this one.

Just wanted to tell you, I’m truly enjoying making this! I haven’t done cable stitches much, but realizing again how much I enjoy them lol.
Dear Bonnie, as Always you blow it UP. What a faith you have. Keep it forever as strong as you are. ❤
Thank Najla! It's all of His grace. I've been forgiven much, and love sharing this story.

Love your channel name! I hope this works well for you!
Oh! Ms. Bonnie! What an amazing throw. I love the meaning of each different stitch. I especially adore the crosses in the middle and the crowns going around the throw. The number three used for the Trinity, outstanding! I can tell so much critical thinking went into designing your throw. I can't wait to get started. Thank you!!! Thank you, to your staff and editing personal who get close up imagine for us to view the beautiful handwork. God bless you and everyone who took part from the beginning to the end of creating your throw. What a meaningful/educational and spiritual gift, you have given us. Thank you!, Ms. Bonnie!🙏🥰👍
Absolutely Beautiful. Thank you, Bonnie, for your gift to us.
Oh my ... there are no words that can convey the depth of meaning and the skill you displayed by designing this. Well done. :)
Thank you! It is my joy to do this.
Gorgeous on a visual level as well as in it's Spiritual meaning...thank you for communing in faith and artistry with us!
My pleasure! If you've never read Francis Scehaffer's "Art and the Bible" I highly recommend it. It's a fast read but very insightful.
Bonnie, i love your new crochet throw and what it represents! This is a very special throw! I too believe in in the trinity. Thank you for sharing your new and latest crochet pattern!😊❤
My pleasure Sachewa!
What a beautiful throw! So much theology packed into a beautiful piece. Thank you for the thoughtfulness you've put into this pattern. I can't wait to get started on it ✝️
My pleasure Susie! Been waiting a long time to design this.
Thank you Bonnie for such a beautiful throw. You have been so blessed with such a wonderful talent and it is so appreciated by many of us.
If people are struggling, all you have to do is slow the video way down as I do many times when I’m doing a project and it really helps. God bless you and your family and it’s so nice to follow somebody who loves the Lord as much as I do. Thank you 🙏🏻.
Thanks for the Tip Maria.
Gorgeous and love your faith in our Lord and Savior!
This is such a beautiful meaningful afghan💝 I had tears listening to your explanation of the stitches💔 I am going to get some yard and make it but, it won't be ready for this year. Thank you so much for creating this and sharing with us 💝 God's blessings to you and your family 🙏🏻💝
Thank you Denise! There never is a rush or deadline on these. It will wait patiently for you Denise!
Absolutely beautiful in meaning and style. I will be making this! Thank you for sharing !
Bonnie, your faith is as beautiful as the throw you designed. I am so proud of you and your choice and description o the stitches. I hope very much to make this throw. God bless you and keep you.
Thank you for your sweet blessing. I'm just another sinner saved by His amazing grace and can't just sit quietly about it, especially during these crazy times.
Wow, look at those views already! This blanket deserves the attention and your tutorial is easy to follow and my blanket is coming along beautifully!
I actually figured out how to do the cable stitch AND move the yarn to create the 2 sc after the slip stitch. For others who may be stuck there, maybe this will help....
After making the slip stitch, rotate your work like your turning back a page in a book, so opposite the normal direction work is turned. You'll then find the working yarn is between you and your hook. This won't work to create the next two single crochet stitches behind the cable we just made. So in order to get the working yarn behind your hook, rotate your hook like a helicopter blade, moving the end of the hook away from you then to the left and then back into your hand as ready to crochet. Your yarn should now be behind your hook so you're now able to create the two single crochet stitches.
Hope that helps! I pray all are well and enjoying this day the Lord Jesus has made!😊
Thank you Amber!😊
Amen Bonnie!! Thank you for this beautiful afghan and sharing the true meaning of Easter!!! Our Lord and Savior Jesus!!!❤
All my pleasure Sabrina!
Oh my days, I'll be getting the wool for this next week, such a beautiful blanket with a wonderful meaning ✝️✝️✝️
Thank you Bonnie for such an eloquent reminder of Easter. A wonderful throw/afghan.😊

Awesome!!!! You have created my favorite of all time crochet blanket!!! What My Jesus did for us on The Cross!!!! Thank you so much!!!! Love you and your way of explaining Our Lord!!! Love you my Sister in Christ❤❤❤
@@cokeral59 thank you for your sweet encouragement!😊❤️❤️❤️
It is so BEAUTIFUL! So much love and meaning. For by grace we have been saved through faith. It is the gift of God. 🙏Thank you for sharing.
Yes, indeed, but faith alone. If we add anything to His finished work, it would be like taking a magic marker to the Mona Lisa!
❤🙏@@BonnieBayCrochet
This is a beautiful afghan, and I love the meaning of all the different stitches. Thank you for sharing this with us.
I love it❤️you always amaze me for all the blankets (which i love) you create with your God given hands.
Thank you Dee!
This is the most amazingly beautiful blanket that I have ever seen! It has touched my heart. Bless you for this gift. You have amazing talent and faith. ❤
Thank you Susan! I'm just another sinner saved by His amazing grace. Can't keep it inside I guess.
When I saw this & all the meaningful stitches/design you put in to it I just knew I had to give it a go & make one for my Mum Thank you ❤ Susannah
My pleasure Susannah!
What a beautiful creation you are an amazing woman I actually got quiet emotional listening to your explanation of the stitches I don’t know if I could master this but I love it and thank you for sharing God bless you best wishes from Ireland ☘️☘️
Thank you Mariao1547! Maybe take your time or perhaps practice small swatches of the stitches (the playlists of stitches is listed below in the video description). I so hope to travel to your beautiful country again someday.
Gorgeous blanket, Bonnie! I rarely comment, but do look at your videos. I felt like I needed to let you know how much this touched me. Your creations are all beautiful . I also just enjoy doing multi stitch blankets. So much wonderful texture and I don't get complacent using the same stitch and end up messing my stitch count up.
Thank you for taking the time to encourage me Betty! Yes, I understand what you mean about designs with the same stitch. Switching it up keeps my hand and brain more active than it otherwise would be on a simpler design. I do those too sometimes, but like forging into the wild more!
Stunning 🥰. It would make the most perfect Christening (Baptism) blanket 🥰
Stunning work and one I will produce.
This stunningly beautiful & a wonderful reminder of our Lord & His sacrifice for us as well as the love of God giving us His only Son.I absolutely have to do this throw. Thank you so much!! May God continue to bless you & keep you & make His face to shine upon you.
@@karenmessinger9609 thank you! He is so good!😊❤️
@@BonnieBayCrochet INDEED!!
Good morning, Bonnie. I was able to purchase the pattern this morning and it's been helpful to refer to for stitch and braid counts. I'm now on the 2nd round of the braided cables. Though I'm fairly new to cables, so far this blanket looks wonderful...nothing wonky or too difficult. Just wanted to express my gratitude again. Thank you!
I'm so glad to hear that Amber! I want this to be a pleasant journey for all.
I’m curious how many hours it took you to get to the second round of the braided?
I’ve watched the videos and yes, it looks quite well laid out and explained.,
Hard to remember, but perhaps 20-30 minutes? I also crochet on the faster side and also very familiar with these stitches. Definitely give yourself time on this.@@sheiladale6802

Thank you Ramona!!
I am so thankful for this video. I took this on as my 4th project ever and let me tell you it wasn’t easy. WAY way above my skill level 😂
Lost of frustration and dropped stitches. BUT, I couldn’t help thinking that when I gave it to my mama she would only see the beauty in it. I kept thinking God doesn’t see our flaws, He sees His children washed in the blood of Jesus. It took me 3 months to finish, worth every minute ❤❤. Thank you
Amen Teresa! God is so good, even when we were running in the opposite direction away from Him. His mercy is new every morning!
Wow, that's the most beautiful blanket, may God Bless and Keep you always! Love the symbolism of your project. I hope one day to have enough skill to complete this blanket. ❤❤❤❤
Brought tears to me. I have already decided who I will gift it to when I complete it.

just finished this and i have absolutely loved making it, the tutorial was amazing and i have sung this song over and over while crocheting this throw. I usually show my daughter what i'm working on but this time i waited, my granddaughter would check my work when she came over and she loved it, we talked about what the cross stands for and when i finished last night i sent a picture to my daughter and told her how much joy it brought me to make this, she loves it as well. What a great day for a baptism!
@@BonnieBayCrochetYes, I definitely agree. I have a question. I just printed out the pattern. I have about 3K yards of Hobby Lobby I love this yarn in “Light Gray” and wondering IF you think HL yarn is a good enough yarn to use? Also, my son’s favorite color is RED. I have nice colored LB Pound of Love in Red. Do you think since you have hands on the Afghan that it would look nice in the red OR would gray be best? I’d love to know your opinion please. 😊 I’ve not used HL I Love This Yarn for an Afghan, just hats and fingerless gloves. Just curious what you’d do.
I think the red would look lovely@@Tanacarroll. I used 4200 yards on mine, so you will definitely need more than the 3000 yards you already have.
@@BonnieBayCrochet Yes I plan to buy more yarn after I decide con the color. I did start the light gray and I’m on Row 6. This is a lovely pattern. I just may start the red and see which I think he’d like best.
