ThAnk you for this. My MIL is in the process of her end of life journey. My FIL gave me her yarn stash. I’m working this up with some of her yarn stash and hope to have it completed to a decent size before she passes
This is so beautiful 😍. I love how clear your instructions are and how you take the time to show how it's done . Some tutors don't do that and go way too fast for you to see exactly how they're doing things . Thank you Bonnie
Absolutely beautiful, and Bonnie, just like you, you're tutoring is first class, step by step. I've definitely learned a great deal from you. Thankyou , your a 💎 diamond.x💓x
I'm currently working on your basket weave blanket. I love it. I'm going to have to make this blanket also. Thank you for your beautiful designs and easy to understand instructions.
Good morning, Bonnie. I have started this blanket and I have caught on to how the pattern goes. I find it difficult to do the back post stitch around the hidden posts when working from the back side. How do you feel about working the triple crochet in to the tops of those stitches instead of around them? Just wondering since it seems to be easier for me. Thank you!
@@BonnieBayCrochet Ok. Thank you for the response. I will work the posts normally, then. It is a pretty easy pattern after the first few rows but looks so impressive! Love anything Celtic!!
Hi Ms Bonnie it have been crocheting for many years. And I have just have my first experience in the Celtic crochet. I love the pattern once you get the hang of it. I had to take it out a few times but I figured out the technique. I am enjoying making the blanket.
Hi Bonnie. Almost finished with this beautiful blanket. I bought 2 skeins of the same yarn you used, just a different color. Any way to judge how much yarn to leave for the border since I don't want to run out. What is the final measurement of your blanket? Thanks for the beautiful pattern and tutorial!
Hi Bonnie I am making this blanket love it ..but can u do a second round of the border for this ? I think it would be a nice to make it a little lace looking to go with the Celtic weave stitch.. what do u think?
Hi Bonnie! Thank you so much for your videos! Quick question, is this blanket capable of being made bigger? I wanted to make one to fit a queen size bed. Thank u!❤️
Hello. I am new to your channel; I just subscribed. I want to tell you I just love, love your tutorials and your work. I'm a baby crocheter and your style is very helpful as a new learner. This is a beautiful blanket! I have some size 6 yarn that looks like the Bernat brand yarn. Do you think if I use my size 6 yarn, my blanket will be just as nice as this one? Your opinion and help is greatly appreciated. ❤ Keep them beautiful tutorials comin'.😊
Welcome Martha! So glad you are a subscriber! That #6 weight yarn may be too chunky for this stitch. I would instead suggest a #4 or thinner yarn because this is a very chunky stitch.😊
@BonnieBayCrochet I had seen that video and was already considering it, but I thank you for your response and willingness to help (I'm sure you're super busy).❤️
What is the relation between your chosen hook and your chosen yarn? Is that the hook recommended by that yarn? Or did you go up or down in size? I'm just asking so I can get an idea of how I'll do this with different yarn haha
I generally go with the hook I prefer that yields the fabric I like rather than the recommended hook by the yarn manufacturer. That number is generally smaller than my personal preference. That said, I would encourage you to use the hook size you prefer. I don't like the fabric to be too tight and unyielding. Please feel free to use a different hook from what I used. Gauge really isn't so important with this design.
Can this be done with alternating colors, black and white for instance. How would i go about adding the new color? Im kind of new at some crocheting. 😊
If making the blanket bigger, would we run into a problem when adding the border? Does the number of rows need to be odd or even in order for the border to work out? Thank you!
Is there a way to make the finished product rectangular as opposed to square. I love the stitch and want to use it, but want the blanket more crib sized.
I don’t understand the necessity of turning each round. It seems like it would be easier to continue and use front post trebles. What am I missing? Please explain.
That would change the entire instructions in the design of how I create the Celtic Weave Stitch Dana. Feel free to experiment, but the way the additional stitches are added into the weave will need to totally change.
I'll see what I can do Nancy. I'm pretty much a one-woman-band here. I do have row numbers in the video that are easy to see, and time marks where needed.
ThAnk you for this. My MIL is in the process of her end of life journey. My FIL gave me her yarn stash. I’m working this up with some of her yarn stash and hope to have it completed to a decent size before she passes

I have finally got it by going up a hook size. Maybe I crochet too tightly. Violet is a pretty color for this. ❤️
I would love to see this when you are finished!
A little off topic here....but i love your nail polish!!!!!!
Thank you! I use Color Street mail strips. They save me a lot of time and expense.😊
Very beautiful baby blanket. I know a baby on the way that this would be perfect for.

Hi Bonnie! Thank you so much for your videos! Quick question, is this blanket capable of being made bigger? I wanted to make one to fit a queen size bed. Thank u!❤️
You surely can simply by continuing to work additional rounds. Going to be a heavy blanket if you are ok with that!

Can this be made in an adult size? Would I just continue in pattern till I reached the size I want? Thanks in advance!
Yes, just continue in pattern stitch until you reach the desired size.
@@BonnieBayCrochet Thank you so much!
Going to make that one after I finish your Celtic Cross.
😍🤩
Can this be done with alternating colors, black and white for instance. How would i go about adding the new color? Im kind of new at some crocheting. 😊
You surely can Penny! I would change colors at the joining of the rounds. You can pull the new color through on the join.
If making the blanket bigger, would we run into a problem when adding the border? Does the number of rows need to be odd or even in order for the border to work out? Thank you!
I think you would be fine either way. If off by one stitch it won't matter at all.
😍😍😍
Hi Bonnie I'm making this beautiful blanket ..but my side of the blanket are curling up any suggestions of what I'm doing wrong?
This stitch does tend to curl a bit, but the finishing rounds usually take care of this.
@@BonnieBayCrochet thank u so much..❤
What size is the blanket as you have done it?
Will this work with a thinner yarn and a smaller hook? I have yarn that shows size H-8 (5 mm)
Sorry. I just saw answer at the very beginning of the video. Can’t wait to try this 😊
@@joicemcguire5606 never a problem! Definitely try this in a thinner yarn. I think it will look even better that way Joice!

That would require a redesign and would take some time to work up

Can we not turn from round 4 onwards so that we can do front post treble instead of bpt from the back?
That is very different from the way this stitch is designed. You can try that, but would involve a big design change.
@@BonnieBayCrochet Would you have a design for working in fp’s only?
Blanket is gorgeous and your tutorial is awesome. 🥰♥️🧡🤎🦋
@@rachelgonzales3184 unfortunately I do not. That would not be possible with the way this stitch is woven.

I can surely look into this as a future design!
I've started this in Red Heart Flamingo until I can find my ombre yarn, I've got it it's buried in a closet lol.
Oh dear! I think this design can work with any number of different color schemes, ombre or solids! It can also be a stash buster if you like Patti!
What are the measurements of the blanket? Thanks
This one is 24 1/2" x 24 1/2 ", but you can always make it bigger by working additional rounds.
Thank you
