I think the stripe may have been better in the middle rather than asymmetrical. Good idea though.
Yeah, the Idea of the stripe is nice but i would've centralized. Though this is better than painting and An expensive car.
Wouldn't be able to live with it not central 🙈🙈🙈
And the headlights needs a polish! 🙂
Yeah, the lack of centrality makes the stripe look like a home brew job. If I was to buy it I'd take it off and get the paint job done.
Yep widened to the driver side to make symmetrical or not at all. Sorry Rob, I'm with Chris. Looks goofy as is, even if you're a young 'un. Good job in all though 👍
Having the stickers offset looks wrong, symmetry is key!
Got to agree with Chris, the stripe is off centre and your eye is drawn to that fact
That stripe would drive me insane not being in the centre
This would have been a great collaboration with manscaped! Shaving the seats instead of your bits and Bob's!! Love how quickly the roof and windows work.
Great work Rob but the stripe needs changing... symmetrical and maybe silver pinstripe rather than white.
Just shows how loved this channel is as you and Chris are great that subscribers want to get involved and help.
Definitely should have had centralised twin silver stripes on that, to match the wheels
Respect to the Scottish fella.
Good man.
Victor Kiam would be proud of that seat .. Great car
Hey Chris & Rob, another great episode, the fact that you have subscribers that will go over and above to help with spares speaks volumes for what you are doing with the channel, it’s truly amazing guys!
So the stripe, well for me the idea of keeping the car affordable is 100% spot on, the options of what you can do with vinyl will always be a personal taste thing, the fact you did it is all that matters, it was absolutely the right decision, for the next owner they can have it personalised for very little money, if they so wish, but my gut feel is that it will stay just as is! I guess time will tell. Thanks again guys, keep up the good work, looking forward to “the next one”.
Legendary work from Gordon the subscriber there. Long may that kind of generosity from your subscribers continue.
This is completely not a criticism just to let you know the volumes are way off as in the music is really loud so I turn the volume down but then when you talk it's really really quiet so I have to turn it right up but then the music is really loud again so I have to keep changing the volume every 2 mins i didn't notice it too much with headphones but recently can't use them and its been driving me nuts, love the channel and watch every vid still but as they say if you don't say about something the Pearson won't know
Need to use the headlight restorer kit as well
My OCD is triggered by the vinyl no being centered ;)
Haha! The Remington Fuzz Away. Making old clothes (and car seats) look like new since the 1970's!
The stripe would have been better in the middle it looks stupid off to the side
As you said Rob, a nice little motor for someone who's just passed their test and you've done a good job getting the roof and windows working again. I'm with Chris on the stripe though.
A rare car Rob but I am with Chris, the stripes dont really work. It doesnt matter tho because that car as usual is a bargain ! Great content mate keep it up !
Its 1.28 in the AM, I've had 13 pints of Stella , the bloke who put that stripe on ,must be on his 14th
😂😂
I must admit I’m not a huge fan of the stripe but I do see why you did it 👍🏻
The stripe would've been alright either central or off to one side. But it looks as if he's tried to put it on central and missed!
Great video though lads!
The strip is alright but your eye is drawn to it as it looks like it’s off centre but other than that looks good. Great work and thanks for sharing this with us take care
Edited hope your all have a nice week
Sorry Rob, I think I preferred it with the scratches. I know I can't see the depth of the scratches, but can't you get special filler/polishes that pick up the colour of the surrounding paint?
What a bargain, someone will enjoy this. I have a 2004 Volvo V70 which is in brilliant condition for the year. But if I added all that I have spent I would lose money. But as I intend to hold onto the car I’m not worried, As for the stripes, as you said a personal choice.
You did a wonderful job fixing that car. It will be a great little car for someone. Well done!
stripe should be central or not at all !!!
Rob, I think some Dukes of Hazzard air horns would go well with that stripe mate. I'm sure Chris would be convinced then.
My ocd kicks in, strip is off center. Still some people will like it. Great Vid
Word of mouth is amazing. Nice that followers of the channel can reach out and help when you need it 👍 Great looking little run around.
Stripes not my pot of tea Rob but it’s exactly what it says on the tin, a cheap run around for someone 👍👍
The bobble remover is great on fleeces and jumpers (my wife swore by hers), but that's the first time I've seen one used on a car seat!
It done a good job of that seat 👍
It looked better before the white stripes. If I saw a car for sale with off center vinyl striped the first thing I would think is its covering scratches. probably would have looked better with wrapping the whole boot and bonnet. Still its a great little starter car for someone or a sunny day second car.
It is covering up scratches lol
Black looked class on its own but clearly a blinding idea lads well done 👍🏼
Nice little car. Good idea with the stripes but I don't like the white and I'd prefer the dark stripe to be symmetrical about the middle. I'd have probably gone with a blue stripe (close to the car colour) in the middle. But anyway, it is what it is and a nice car for someone.
I'm an older person and like the stripe, but centred for my brain, great job though, well done.
Really needs to be in the middle and polished headlights
That's going to do someone good that. I have to say I've had some high prices from dealers but those regulators are absolute daylight robbery but good to see a subscriber coming to the rescue! Top work guys 👍🏻
Needed symmetry so right down the centre, and Chris was right, they should have been white. Still a bargain at 1250
Good to hear that music back from some of the older videos..missed it.
No Rob ... I dont often disagree with you but the colour and offset of the strip is all wrong... perhaps a silver strip and central would have been better
Genuine channel, with genuine subscribers. Genuine no no for the stripe. But for the money, new owner has choices
Personal opinion the stripe would of been better if it was symetrical same amount of bonet either side etc, and without the white stripes i think it looked fine just the satin black
The stripe looks fine and no worse than you see on many small hatchbacks these days. 19k miles! That is amazing and will be a brilliant small car for somebody - especially now its been fixed by you guys - well done!
That stripe is doing my ocd in!...
Awwww dear….. it really needed to be centred.
Great that you got the windows and roof operational!
The stripe is just fine. If it were my car, I would have put it in the centre and made it a little wider. But still it cleaned up very nicely. It's going to be a nice little car for someone.
What down to earth folk you two are,god bless guys.
Personally think the scratches were better. Off centre stripe would annoy me!
You did the right thing with the stripe, I didn't like it at first but looks better in the final walkaround
If the drivers side was little wider and it was the same size on both sides of the central badge I think would look absolutely perfect, but overall, to cover the key marks looks amazing sorry to be a downer guys but you have done a wicked job love the content. Keep it coming guys you’re amazing
Someone is going to treasure this little car especially if it is their first.
Transparency is the key & you guys are totally transparent.
Thanks for the content.
Don't think my OCD could cope with the stripe being off centre.
This is a fantastic channel. You guys are so genuine. Nice to see a couple of guys fixing up some cars for a little profit and not bodging everything along the way! Keep it up.
Earned my sub no doubt about it!
Yeah stripe not for me. Or at least should have gone all the way over the roof etc. But understand it’s a quick flip good cheap car. 19k, great car for someone. Well done.
The stripe covers the damage and tidies the car up. Not my preference but it’s sorted out the eyesore. Well done Chris and Rob
It looks cack but I see what you’re saying about it not being worth spraying. Difficult one. I’m sure someone will love it though.
I'm With Chris good idea but probably could have been better design... Great work.
I think I would have rather put up with the scratches Rob. But A for Effort lol.
Stripes are a great idea guys. New owner can always do the paint at a later date if they want to.
OCD going mental, stripes not central
Good result. Stripe looks ok - maybe should be on the roof too? Cheap little car for someone. Should be reliable too!
I like the twin mini stripe would of looked better in dark matt gray with thin pinstripe in silver
Seem to remember a sporty version of the hatch Colt ( not the Ralliart) that came with stripes as standard, owned a CZ1 for about 8 trouble free years very underrated & reliable
Rob stripe needed to be centralised and just the Matt black.Sorry not the right car for the stripe anyway
My thoughts exactly
Yep go faster stripes are great but would have had them central IMHO for what it's worth
Keyed it? Sureeeee. I think those scratches are from the buttons on the back of someone's jeans and I also think I know what caused it.
Tell you what rob , I’ve always been told
It’s nice to be nice and what a nice fellow 😉👍
"If you cant hide it, make a feature of it" - my dear old Dad, the antique dealer 😁😀👍
Hi Rob, I'm not keen on the stripe being off centre like that and if I had been doing it, knowing that most likely a young lady or even an older lady would be buying that car I would have put a pink stripe right down the centre. Maybe a thin black or dark red stripe on both sides of the pink one. Like you said it is personal choice. A great video again and thanks for keeping them coming.
Stripe would have been better central on the bonnet and boot… would have given the new owner the choice of paint or vinyl.
Great idea with the stripe. I would lose the white pin stripes. Love the channel, you two are so fair with you pricing and I enjoy the varied content. Keep it going.
I’d have gone with a pair of twin white stripes instead of that asymmetrical black stripe thing. Looks a bit too “max power” for me instead of a classy pair of white stripes.
Cant believe some of the negative comments on the stripes. Like you said some young lass would love that for the price and mileage. Great idea.
Really don’t understand why the vinyl fella didn’t centralise the stripe. Looks really amateur with its current placement imo
Nice to see it saved - crazy price for the window regulators but well done to the subscriber for coming up with the goods! As for the stripe, should have been orange :)
Strip should be in middle
As an engineer, that offset stripe would drive me nuts every time I looked at it! Symmetry rules in my world 👍Great little motor for a young gel as you say Rob, for little money. 😎
Maybe it's my OCD kicking in ....but why on earth was the vinyl not centred on the bonnet and boot - it looks more obvious being offset
Because that’s what I asked for
Bobble remover and cut vinyl, now I wasn't expecting that! The stripes suit the car well and don't take anything away from it, an inspired idea!
To me that stripe is too wide and the off center draws your eyes to it but ha everyone's taste is different
Quick head light polish kit maybe? Stripe idea was good - a central/symmetrical placement may have worked better - but it does the job 👍🏼
Could you not just get a body colour bonnet wrap?
Good idea with the stripe, colour looks ok, but think it would of looked better central/wider stripe? Cool and quirky little car for someone though.
Sorry I hate the position of the stripe I would need it central off centre sets my ocd off lol 😂 nice little car for someone
The stripe was a good idea ..not sure about the colour though..would have gone light and dark blue meself but like you say Rob its all about differences in taste .. but the CZC has scrubbed up well...super little car..I had a 4dr one of these..3 cylinder 1100 engine very peppy thumbs up top job
Mmmmm not so sure about the stripes, maybe better to cover the whole panel. Good effort though.👍👍
Hi rob tbh I would of just left it with the scratches on it the stripes need to be symmetrical for me but the seat has amazed me well done 👍
Like the idea of the stripe, would be better centralised.
the old fluffo-matic from K-Tel .....is a must for any tool box !!!
I would probably of had a wider stripe and centralise it , but cheap remedy for a cheap car
Twin gloss black stripe to match the bumper trims without the white.Great use of the old muff cutter.
Love the stripe solution, BUT it would bug me no end that it's off centre as I'm a bit OCD!
I think it was a good idea to use vinyl to cover the scratches but i would of made it central even if the vinyl had been wider. Still a great little car for someone!
I’d have gone for a wider stripe and centred it.
Hello, great video, what a tidy car for the money, the window motor is sorted and works quick, the mileage is low for the year, the stripe is ideal for the scratches and makes it different.
Maybe a double black stripe ? . Not keen on it being off centre.
Can't stand it being off centre and unequal 🙉
Would certainly have liked centre/symmetrical as well but still a nice cover job
Had 1 of these 3 years back and traded it in for a 4 door car as no room for baby seats for when i had my new grandkid , never had 1 problem with it , great to drive , fast and when clean and polished up was a headturner with top down in summer ! Absolute bargain at the price your after for it and someone will get a great car and have real fun in nice weather zipping around in it!
Shame you didn’t sort the yellow headlights out would of improved the front end no end
I can’t be perfect every day 👍
Stripe was a stroke of genius! I would prefer white black rather than black white but hey ho! Personal choice.
I hope whoever buys it enjoys it and doesn't wrap it round the nearest lamp post! Great job as always!
