What a beautiful car,I suggest that You and Chris convert the front end to face lift version,since you are going to replace everything for it

I tend to agree. The facelift front looks so nice
If the price isn’t much different and available i would deffo facelift it
If you want to add the intelligent light system headlights in the face lift conversion that will cost some serious money them headlights are expensive nearly £1000 for one in the dealers and then programming them in is another headache.I’ve been told some serious wiring is also needed too for them to work with cars that do not have the intelligent light system from factory

I did a 350 but a coupe last year, ended up buying a rear end damaged car out of copart for the front end bits as there are so many clips/brackets needed. Broke the rest for parts and paid for itself.
Said it before, you boys don't back away from a challenge. Bravo.

Rob, my wife asks what I'm always watching and I tell her its Rob and Chris. So I showed her you both starting on the e350.
To tell you the truth, I couldn't get my tablet and headphones off her !!!
We both agreed that if you sold cars on a site, we'd buy one from you both, because we'd know you don't scimp on the repairs and, no bodging.
She's now subscribed to the site. Keep up the great work.
Thanks Terry and wife! One of the reasons for starting the channel was to show that we as a business try very hard to repair the vehicles we buy and sell to the same or better pre accident condition. It's how Rob and I have earned a living for more than 20 years and hopefully the videos distance us from others in the industry that are happy to sell sub standard repaired vehicles.
@@sruk thanks Chris. I originally started watching similar American shows who all seem to want to drag out an old wreck from a wood and, see if they could get it running, end of. Now the only channel I watch is yours and, can't wait for the next video. They are great to watch and, very educational as I like to look after my car ( Mercedes) as much as possible.

Whilst it’s stripped out
Change the oil cooler seals, the oil
Cooler sits in the middle of the actual engine, trust me it’ll save you a job at a later date.
I’ve had 3 E350’s and the oil cooler seals have all failed.
I suppose it would make sense to do this job especially when the parts are peanuts
Same happened to my car. And locked up the motor that moved the flaps in the intake
Interesting rebuild.... hope you can find the parts for it for sensible money....

Rob . The paint 's going to be the killer. It's Pearlescent White .That's a 3 stage material . Ground coat (base colour) Pearl coat and then laquer . In all the years l was in the repair trade we never succeeded in blending out a White Pearlescent. It was repaint only and very expensive ! I'd get your painter to pass his opinion. Good luck !
I just mentioned that, it's the Diamond White not the Base Polar White, will stick out like a sore thumb if not blended in properly
A car of that caliber needs a total repaint, including rear bumper scuffs from forklift.😎👍👌😷
@@vernonmatthews181 100% Agree Needs a Full Spray which will eat into the Profit which is why the Previous owner probably decided not to go through with it along with the Price for Parts and putting it back together

Interesting comments on the use of forks Rob … in our marina they use huge fork lifts to launch boats from dry storage on rack … the forks are covered in rubber and carpet to avoid damage.

With the Airbags not going off it’s made the job a lot easier for you. Sometimes it’s not required for the airbags to deploy , they are there to save your life and if the structure of the vehicle is not impacted enough the control unit knows a Zeppelin in the face could cause more damage to you than the accident. God luck finding a parts donor.

Have fun getting the rear head rest roll protection out with the roof up.... These are huge units which when deployed interfere with the roof which has to be in the down position to remove them. Couldn't find any info on how to put them down so roof had to come off to get the units out to strip them to work out how to retract roll bars. There's actually a release lever that when the explosive squibs have been removed allows the roll bar to be pushed back into the unit and latch in the un-deployed position.

The BMW was Stunningly pretty.
I love the BMW for its performance and Handling but would not buy one.
The e350 Mercedes - diesel engine excepted - is however on my list as a potential purchase approaching this Christmas.
The e63 is what I really want though.
A salvage rebuild should suit my pocket (hopefully), In two or three months.
You guys are on top of your game and do a real Good Job.

You have to spend money to make money. I think you fellas will find an entire front end somewhere (or you may have to buy an entire car, maybe motor blown )and your hip pocket will hurt a bit but I think with such a nice convertible there is still good money to be made on it. It is a nice white and the AMG Line will definately boost the cars saleability. Those seats look really comfy. Good luck and thanks for posting a great new video.
