What everyone needs to understand is that there are only 24hrs in a day and running your business and your channel is time consuming when you’re running here there and every where Rob, then we come to Chris who seems like like some kind of miracle man with what he does on and off camera, some people need a lot more patience in life and learn to chill out, you guys have probably the top automotive channel in the UK and now my brain is empty 👍🏻🏴
Aye, they have to remember it isn’t a 9 to 5 gig, this is working every hour to get it done, sourcing, transporting, organising, editing, and last but not least the actual mechanics and body shop work…
The dead lock system was seized from standing for 12 years. I had the same problem years ago on a 2nd gen Carlton, turned out it was a micro switch at fault.
I’ve been watching your videos since the early days..I’ve got an aquarium maintenance business and I’m local to you. I’d love to setup a Salvage Rebuilds aquarium in Chris’s office if he’s up for it?
Let us see underneath after you have fixed the passenger door lock. You made it into a great looking car by your work Rob. Something special about a 5 Series BMW and especially an Alpina version.
You are well on the way to disproving the old saying - "You can't make a silk purse out of a sow's ear". Lacquer excepted, you wouldn't believe it's the same car. Keep up the good work.
I was expecting more of the paint to be damaged but as you say the sides seem to have been protected by the fence and the wall. I am so glad that you finally got the drivers door open, 'What a game' as my old Dad would say! Yes I think it might be a good idea to be able to stop when you put your foot on the brake pedal so that job might be next. She is looking much better already Rob so thanks for another video on this car Rob and Chris, great stuff. 👍👍
Can’t wait for it to go on the ramp & see how crusty it is, after having watched a lot of Yorkshire Car Restoration content on BMWs & how they hide the rust, could be a game changer😮
I wish that I cleaned up as well as this car!!! I'm fascinated to discover what you'll do with this one. Full restoration or get it to a point for the next person to complete? I'm hoping that you go all in and get it absolutely mint. I can sense how emotionally attached Rob is getting to this car - one for his fleet perhaps?
Lovely video. Great work Rob. Sunroof, check the drain holes. You may be able the blow them clear with the air compressor ( do not go mad on the pressure. Also check and clear the door drain holes as well. Can you polish the head lights with a refresh kit, they could come out for the respray. Annoyingly I am not instagram for the sale.
Love the channel Rob and Chris and know time moves on but I've been watching well close to when you started but do really enjoy the older cars and the can we make a profit from a cheap older car episodes but keep up the good work lads
Great video 📹 as usual fellas this is another timeless BMW proper old school I would love to see it restored to its showroom condition this would cost a good few quid but fellas it would be worth it and boy what a fantastic result it would be take care and stay lucky and healthy looking forward to Sundays video 📹 already rob you underestimate your valeting skills 😊❤
The only thing you should’ve done to open the door was to pop off the actuator (you already removed the plug )and the door would be open. No need to destroy anything else. Passenger side is even easier, takeoff the doorhandle and with a long screwdriver pop off the door actuator, and the door will be open

Wasn’t full before you started 😂
Fully agree! Salvage Rebuilds and the Mat Armstrong channels are legendary 👍

(Check in your Mum’s loft) - you never know, they might be one up there from the early nineties!
So it's not a BMW Alpina...it's a BMW Al-cleaner

What a car that is. If only they’d left the cover on. The dukes of hazard style entry was good for a giggle.

Wonder if the original owner had the optional indicators fitted! Nice old school performance car.

Been waiting for this one. Can’t wait to watch
Yes boys
Rob, I was always taught to clean a car from the bottom up. This stops what you call spider webs.
No mate 🕷️ made the webs
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Sreten
M539 Restorations
If anyone can find an answer, he can 👌
Most long-term BMW owners can find or already know the answers. But most don't have the sponsorship that Sreten and other UA-cam channels have.
Answer to what 🤷♂️
She's a little beauty 💪🐸✌️
Fuel filter look like the one I just changed on a xtype diesel same as the Ford mondeo
That was what we wanted after the Range rover disaster, don't tell AutoAlex about those wheels though!!
No idea why everyone thinks everyone on UA-cam knows each other lol
eye spy with my little eye a motorhome in the background 🧐
Please get the bonnet painted! 😅
Oil filter air filter for 1.8 diesel.
Missing the door vapour barrier behind the door card. Water ingress will rot the door card if not fitted
No it isn’t it’s all there it was obviously removed to fit the latch
The only thing you should’ve done to open the door was to pop off the actuator (you already removed the plug )and the door would be open. No need to destroy anything else.
Passenger side is even easier, takeoff the doorhandle and with a long screwdriver pop off the door actuator, and the door will be open
It didn’t work it was deadlocked it had to be destroyed
What a magnificent vehicle that B10 is, does anyone know what that would have cost brand new back when they were coming out the factory?
Service kits for a 1.8 transit connect.. imo
😊😊
Polish the headlights it will knock years off it
Ah finally a non range rover video.
alpinas are cooler then M cars
Can’t beat an old BMW I’ve had my 330 cabriolet 12 years now. Also trying to do a deal on another one.
Ps any discount codes for Jennychem please?
Yes it’s in the description 👍
Nice car. Is it a pocket rocket? Does it still have “it” ?
What's happened to the offside chassis leg above the VIN? Looks like the paints been ground away.
Alpina stamp in there own vin
