This is an older video, before the Southport and pinch weld. It had a 2" lift here and 31" tyres.
watching your videos for long time , specially good to see how little those WK's needs to modify to make them quite capable , they still looks like shoping daily cars but they can climb pretty well. i almost bought CRD myself after your videos. maybe i still will later . we dont have that kinda terrain here more like sand and mud here . some cars looks like they didint aired down so much tire slippage.

Yeah, I stumbled upon it and thought "I never did the full version" forgot! So there it is! Good memories 😊
Other then the obviously better tyres it's the throttle response in the hemi GC that gives it the advantage over the CRD GC. The CRD actually makes more torque across more of the rev range but throttle delay and the transmission shift logic really let it down. You should tell the CRD owner to get an I-drive throttle controller, best mod I did for mine. I have almost no throttle lag. The transmission still sucks, it's not too bad in low range though. I wish there was a way to manually lock the diffs instead of relying on the Quadradrive II system to sense any wheel slip, but at least it has diff locks unlike the wk GCs.
i think they did manual switches for locking them on WK
@@MrScalman yes, you are right. We did full manual switches on the black CRD. So much better.

Looking at picking up a 2010 Rubicon with all the trail gear included winch, rear/front bumper, wheels and so on is $19,990 too much? Otherwise great video and id love to come along one day!

Is the WK2 stock? Is it quadratrack or QD2?
I think it has 2" lift and it's the QT2 version.
@@AussieFourWheelers No, that can't be right. The 5.7 hemi comes standard with the quadra drive 2 system " QD2". So does the 3.0 CRD.
