- Here is a video of 2 very useful mods to the barn doors of your Nissan Patrol. Please follow carefully and don't do the same mistake ;) which is corrected later. Here are the timestamps for easier navigation through the video:

I thought, why not! We all make mistakes. No one's perfect. Might seem like a silly mistake, yeah it is, but we've all been there. How we rectify it and how we handle them and the criticism is what's important.

I was silently screaming up until 17:59 :D But ya, we've all been there mate :) I also can very much relate to the fact that you didn't put something in place to hold that fucking door open. Those little things you think about before starting, but end up not doing because it seems to much hassle for that small a job and then it fucks you over and over and midway you find yourself thinking "I fuckin should have put something in place to hold that fuckin door open but at this point it's not worth it any more" and so it keeps fucking you over until you are finally done :D

I wanted yell out to you through the You Tube that you needed it extended for the "open" measurement. Anyway. Looks / works nice. Just one more tip. Put some blue locktite on those ball/nuts. We have a kit here in the US for adding a strut to a pick-up tailgate for a slow opener. I found the ball/nut stud works its way loose from the nutsert over time. Make sure it is good and gooped up with that stuff, and check it every now and again to makes sure it doesn't loosen up.

hey mate if you ever do it to your other patrol or want to re do it there's a way better place to position it, keeps it out of the way. Reference eddy cullens video " the best mod for your nissan patrol". I always step on that area when strapping things down on my roof haha. i have a gu3 and it doesnt rub the plastic either

Where did you get that door swing part?
Road Runner Offroad has them (Roadsafe 4WD ones) but they're silver. I wanted black powder coated, so I got from Grunt. They even sell them on eBay, here's the link: www.ebay.com.au/itm/131471838467

You gotta drill at the bottom of the door mate
Why not there where it is? It works fine. The head of the strut would rub on the bumper if it was below the door.
@@AussieFourWheelers yeah it works both ways, only have to notch a little bit out of the plastic bumper though
