Awesome video! You guys got some great footage that I wish I could get on club rides, but I am working on that. The terrain and scenery are also incredible and the Jeep is doing great. It's obviously very slippery out there. Thank you for sharing this! :)
Thank you Rick! I appreciate it.
Jeeps never cease to amaze me
Thanks for the comment. 🙋🏻♂️
The WK probably has the electronic locking diffs. A great system.
Yes, Quadra-Drive II. Very capable with good tires.
Sweet. Love my 06 Grand Cherokee Limited with QD2 and the 5.7 HEMI.
Thanks!
5.7 is the best engine in WK!! ❤️
You and your friend tackled some pretty muddy areas and made it work. Pretty area to go with 4x4 Jeeps. :)
It is. We all love this trail.
Thanks for taking a look.
I just know that I love my Jeep XJ
Me too! 🙂
Cool !!!👍
Thanks! 🙋🏻♂️
hey bud i subbed your channel. i will check out your vids. gotta love that diesel motor clicking along. like i say, i havent seen a diesel in the u.s.
Thank you very much. I appreciate it.
2.5 TD was for European market, even Australia I think. But in the States, 2.1 Turbo diesels were sold for a short time so these are rare.

Subscribed! :)
Thanks! 🙂
Isusek dragi, sveta Marijo, sveti Petre i svi sveci! Kad vas planinari vide bit ce drama! :D
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Ovo je nekad bio put za kola i već se 40 godina ne koristi. Ko zna kad je čovjek zadnji put uopće i bio tu pa ne bi trebalo biti problema.
Nemoj da prizivas vraga
Damn! Very smart to use 235 tires. What is the ride quality with them? Is the rim 7 or 7.5 inches wide?
I will ask a friend or he will answer you. WK is his ride. 😉
COOL video! you live in a wet world - but the WK did well despite it's poorer tires and the lack of articulation offered by a solid front axel
Thanks Gary!
WK did great! It have Quadra-Drive II and that 4x4 system works amazing!
@@V8AmericanMuscleCar You must have had it in 4 Hi most of the time, because I see one wheel spinning. I'm not sure how much you know about the systems, but if it's any help, one sure way to check is to count the rear end differential bolts. QDII has 12 and the others 10.
Gary, WK has independent front axle unlike the WJ that had solid front axle.
@@plymouthduster1974 True, I didn't word that as well as I should have
Hi. Nice video :) What suspension Lift and tyres are on WK?
Thanks!
WK is my friend's Jeep and as I know it has 2 inch puck lift and 235/80/17 Cooper ST MAXX tires.
@@V8AmericanMuscleCar thank you :)
You're welcome! 🙋🏻♂️

Hello, there's no problems with 2 inches lift? Some people talk about esp or dct fails.
@@jeremyz675 two of my friends have a WK, one is 2.5 inches, and this one is 2 and neither has a problem.
Also, two inches doesn’t seem like much, but when combined with bigger tires it’s a really big difference.
Is your version the Overland model? Did your Quadra-Drive 2 come factory with yours?
I have a 2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee (WK) with the 3.0 L OM642, it came with Quadra-Trac 2.
It’s my friend's Jeep so I’m not sure if it’s Overland or Limited. I thought all CRD models have Quadra-Drive from the factory.
@@V8AmericanMuscleCar The biggest difference between these two 4×4 systems is that Quadra-Trac II utilizes a Brake Traction Control System (BTCS) to minimize sliding on tough terrain, while the Quadra-Drive uses a more traditional electronically controlled differential.
You can tell between the two because Quadra-Trac II will mean that there is 10 bolts on the rear differential; Quadra-Drive II will have 12 bolts on the rear differential.
It might also depend on the market; in North America you could only get the OM642 in 2007 and 2008 model years of the WK, whereas in Europe it was from 2005 to 2009 that you could buy the diesel option. So your friend is lucky.
If I remember correctly, I read somewhere that all CRD models for Europe had Quadra-Drive but I'm not 100% sure. But it's very capable vehicle. I had CRD WJ with Quadra-Drive and it was great off road vehicle, but QD2 works much faster.
@@V8AmericanMuscleCar if that's the case, Europeans are sure lucky for getting really great diesel vehicles. Even in Canada, we are centred around the North American market and car manufacturers mostly abide by the California Emissions standards set in the US.
I'd rather have cheap fuel and big engines like you guys have. 😉
how good is off road and reliability of the wk 3.0crd v6
Video doesn't do it justice. This is really tough terrain and WK did it great. It's a friend's Jeep and he uses it daily, for travel and off-road. With regular maintenance, there are no problems. I have more videos on my channel with this WK and it does great on any kind of trails.
@@V8AmericanMuscleCar yeah yeah i am watching them , great videos... btw whats the average fuel consumption? i guess the engine and transsmision is from mercedes ?
@@komunakomunalska1664 thanks! Yes, engine and transmission are from Mercedes. Fuel consumption is from 12 to 17 l/100 km. But this Jeep is lifted and has 32 tires.
@@V8AmericanMuscleCar so for normal OVERLANDING style i should expect 11/12 L/100 km ?
@@komunakomunalska1664 yes but we are talking about lifted Jeep. With stock suspension and tires under 10.
Are you in 4wd low or not
XJ 100% but I think both were in 4 low.
WK Jeep Quadra-Trac II & XJ Jeep Off Road
WK Jeep Quadra-Drive II & XJ Jeep Off Road 😉
I have a 2008 grand cherokee limited that will go anywhere and doesn't have hardly any wheel spin.
Where are you guys from?
@Brandon R. maybe the Quadra-Drive doesn't work perfectly, but this WK still doing great. We are from Croatia.
Way too much spinning for the Quadradrive to be working. It’s 3 rotations to engage. You have quadratec not quadradrive
You're not the first to say so, but it is Quadra-Drive. Maybe it doesn't work like it should because of the 32s.

Thanks for watching!
