Crazy to think that 9 years ago I was just a 12 year old stumbling upon this cool guy who was planning out an ambitious railroad. I would’ve never built my first table at 17 if it wasn’t for your inspiration. Thank you Joe!

As always Joe, you have your priorities straight. Family comes first. Thanks for all that you have shared with us. I know I have learned a lot and gotten several ideas from you. I will add my vote to perhaps consider a yearly update video. Hopefully, someday, I will get to see your layout in person during an NMRA convention tour. Good luck to you and your family and stay safe.

Thank you for all the great content. It's understandable and no need to explain that your reasons for ending the constant posting.. Hopefully you now get to enjoy the hobby instead of worrying about content. Just hopefully we get to see a once in a while post of a railfan of your layout or some posting of you enjoying your layout on fb on your time frame and not worrying about others or creating youtube content. Happy railroading. PS. while I don't currently have a layout hopefully one day I can have a meetup to have the Sayehurst Secondary meet up with the Modern N Raritan River.

Thanks again Joe you are an amazing Modeler.

Just recently in the past few months ive came back to review some of your videos to solve issues, or learn steps in certain processes for my own N scale layout. The past year ive gone into high gear with it, and have been wanting to make some videos myself, because there are several modelers on this platform that I have followed, im ready to share my work with, and you Joe are one of them. I appreciate your contributions to my learning techniques, especially the amount of detail you have put in videos. While you're not going to post anymore, I hope you're still present here watching videos, and maybe soon, you'll see my channel finally post a video.
    Take care Joe!!!

I enjoyed following along with your channel, and of course do what ever brings you happiness. As someone else said, there aren't that many N scalers doing UA-cam videos, and you were doing them well! I suggest as you said, keep the channel alive for us who like to go back and watch certain things, and who knows, you may get the urge to film something again, even if it is just a run by. I only work on my layout when I feel like it, and I only film things when I feel like it. No burn out that way. Maybe that will help you as time goes on.
    Good luck and have fun!

I feel you. I’ve got a UA-cam channel that focuses on my miniature wargaming hobby. But I don’t do a lot on my channel because I’d rather focus on the miniature wargaming part of things than on the “filming for UA-cam” part of things.
If I spent the time required on growing the channel instead of on the hobby, I’d never accomplish anything in the hobby.

As so may others have noted already - HUGE THANKS ARE DUE TO YOU SIR FOR ALL YOU'VE SHARED!!! Apology? Backlash? You've got to be kidding me if anyone were to accept or give such - CONGRATS are due to you for all you've accomplished!! Huge inspiration to me and so many since post #1 (especially for me as a ~90's era n scale eastern modeler). Amazing for most any model railroader to ever get close to the level of completion you have, and on top of that this is the layout you've been dreaming about for years (I recall you made that clear near the very beginning...). I can only imagine all the time it takes to produce, edit, post, reply, etc... I was always so impressed at the time you took to make and share quality vids, and assumed it must have been eating into that precious little time most working/family folks like us have available to model or operate... so again I wanted to make sure to post this to say a HUGE THANKS to you, and whatever is the best/right decision for you makes me happy - remember the slogan that Kalmbach used to show on each MR cover? The key word was "fun", and you surely deserve it / wish you a maximum of that going forward.

Thanks Joe for everything. You were the first channel on UA-cam I subscribed to, my railroad went from a 4X8 layout to a much bigger and better setup in part because of your inspiration and tutorials. I have learned so much and for that I am so thankful. I sort of feel like a 'friendship' has developed (in a weird UA-cam way) and I have enjoyed the time together. I too struggle with balancing time with grandkids, family, volunteer duties, etc. and in the end I too enjoy just going downstairs and running trains. Thanks again.. take care my friend.
