Yes on the backdate. I started college in 82 so I remember those days. My layout is Family Lines. Great video Joe & looking forward to more. Thanks for going through the time and trouble making videos. It is time consuming.
Also great to watch your videos. I vote yes, backdate your layout. I too am a Conrail modeler. I model 1976 to 1980. I love the variety of road names and always love caboose movements. I feel you’ll have a good time with it.
Thanks Joe.. It's always a good evening when I see you have uploaded a new video. I enjoy hearing and seeing your successes as well as your frustrations.. I have lots of those too!. take care
Thx for the update. Never can get enough and always love to see what you’re up to with the layout. I love the idea of you going back to a time where the caboose was in service. May require additional work but, I believe it’s well worth it.
Joe. Finally. Borderntown Ave. crossing is protected. While crew reducing EOT"s were fun, backdating will bring back interesting paint jobs of earlier power and cabooses. Just a thought. How about adding the physical move of the crew van at the beginning and end of each shift? Give it a car card. Mike
Regarding taking time off, if it was for your family it was worth it. Sayreville looks great. I model the 1983-84 time frame myself and like it. Besides the locomotives you also have more freight cars in patch-outs. Bowser, Atlas and Bluford are good sources for Conrail cabooses. Cheers and enjoy your layout.
Hello Joe, What ! Joe no Conrail shirt ? Only kidding I was doing some ops with my layout late last nite.. I can't wait to go N.C. to do some fly fishing in June so I can see some trains on the road going thur Ga./ NC.. take care Joe.
I vote yes for the backdating. It will give you something to do when the south end scenery is complete.
Right on. Thanks for watching!
Backdating is a great idea and opens more opportunities for you. As always Joe, great update.🎉

Thanks for the update. Sayerville looks great. I model using cabooses. It makes moving cars around interesting. That's what I like about it.
Thank you and thanks for watching!

Do you have a caboose track in the yard? Before backdating I'd make sure there's storage for the cabooses in Brown's Yard first.
Yes! Right now track 3 is a caboose track. I can over flow that track to track 10 or 1.
great work
Thank you.
Definitely back date your layout. This give more of a variety of power and rolling stock as well as more freedom of industry and scenes.
Yes the yea's have it. I have purchased 6 more "cabin cars". Thanks for watching!
