The Holds definitely pulled Crowley the cleanest in this test if you time it from the point of the tires getting the hook at the top. They took less time and less wheel speed than the Megalithics at least from what I saw. I was timing it from the point of when the truck body under the Reefs sticker touched rock to when the truck made all four wheels up: Megas - 7 seconds. Holds - 3 1/2 seconds and less wheel speed. Not going to stop me from getting a set of Megas though as they do appear to be the all-around better performer. Great test! I enjoy these "This vs That" type videos.
me id say this. the only way to do a tire test is to have the same insert and wheels . set the transmitter up so all have the same exact wheel speed . that why is even steven.the tires started slipping at mega 51 , tusk 31 , hold 34 , and land at 34 . so that says a lot .
Many options out there but in a traditional foam insert, Crawler Innovations is my go to. They come in a variety of sizes and compounds to suit every need. A lot of people swear by printed inserts - SL3D, YZZR, 3 Brothers, etc. The 3d printed inserts do take some getting used to and are probably better suited to climbing vs. trail running (but don't have a ton of experience with them).
@@timpowers9429 I don;t know about the mega's but referencing SORCA rules...I think ruptures not allowed...tusks are though...time will tell if mega's make the list I suppose....🤷🏼♂🖖🏼
I’d love to see something like this with ideal up or throttle trim set to 20% on the rigs and only give steering input. I think it would get interesting.
@@ExocagedRC i missed it. Unfortunately I haven’t had the time to see all your videos. I have been keeping up for the past year or so though for the most part.
I do think the Megalithics are probably the best but they had the advantage of being newer, cleaner and therefore more grippy. They also have nice, new inserts. Definitely not a scientific comparison but still fun to watch.
Yea now if you can actually buy anything but landmines and holds that's a joke when you say megalithic are newest available. 😅tusks ruptures megalithic are all sold out and they said they don't know when they will have It back in stock I'm so sick of trying to buy jconcepts tires least proline never runs out of stock
J concepts the best clay tire made but that's it every other surface is questionable. J concepts really don't look right, so probably not buying any of em. They look like they belong on a cartoon rig. Imo.
they all have there place my friend an the body got caught up some but great bunch of tires
Can’t do a tire comparison with anything that varies except the tire itself
Cool
I beat a handfull of ruptures this past weekend with tusks with super soft YZZR Inserts iv been extremely impressed with them in the south east
Thanks for doing this review.
So, what did I learn from this comparison - you can't really go wrong with a crawling tire from JConcepts! 👍
Cool test. I was hoping to see the Hunks but you showed they are all fairly even. Love my Tusks.

Could be down to the inserts and varying wheel weight
Awesome test and very usefull ! Cool Info share! Thks my Friend!
I'm digging the pattern on the megalithics!
Could next review be through trails of some kinds ?
They all kicked butt 👌
Those new Megalithic tires are great!
Have you tried the 1.9 proline boggers 5.4 inch on the incline or crawling
I have bought 8 ruptures to put on two of my trucks I love them but the new one, Megalithic, I love the thread patern, I should have waited ;)

That first obstacle gave me anxiety just watching the tires spin 😅
DUDE that recovery was text book knowing where the tire is actually holding the surface AWESOME job and thanks for the info🛻
Holds are my go to tire
Megalithics got that one for sure. My question is when you open new tires do you clean the release agent off or just drive em and let them wear in?
I just drive em
Could you give us a review on the proline Toyo open country? Seems like a grippy tire
I love my jconcepts holds. Theyre my phoenix tires. I wanted something aggressive and sticky and they fit the bill perfectly.
Jconcepts keeps rolling out these tires you're gonna have to build a new ramp!
Good save bro!!
I have 2.2” beadlocks. I tried running the proline 2 stage foams but they are too large for my tires. Suggestions?

Great Review... 🤟
The Megalithic is awesome, too bad it looks ugly. By the way, it's important to do the sidehill test!
The megatons are awesome 😉
No ruptures?
not considered scale..😉
@@steve_beattyand the megalithic are? They look the closest to a rupture but might be different in person.

@@steve_beatty ha! Just noticed that in title…. Guess that would be why lol.
@@steve_beatty ruptures definitely are not allowed you’re right, didn’t even notice the “Scale” part of the title lol
I like the "title text here" tires
lol well I guess I messed up on that one
At 9:10 you forgot to enter the tire name
Man I tested the Tusk vs Megalithics today and I think it’s a toss up, if they both had the same inserts I’d know for sure

I've done that in the past with other vehicles

I'd really like to see them release a 3.93" Megalithic. I want to put them on a UTB18 but the 4.75 is too tall.
I need to get some rocks delivered so I can crawl on at home
Braap
The mega took that.
👍😁😊
Megalithics won, no question. It seemed like they did everything just a little easier than the others.

Wonder if a simple green wash would have changed the odds for the dirty ones 😂
@@jrfishesI’d say 90% of tires actually get BETTER with wear… so I’d say they’re at a disadvantage
Megalithic are ruptures 2.0

Questionable lol over here in TN anybody who is serious about crawling runs jconcepts unless you got a horizon fan boy that runs prolines 🤷♂️
@@NFEzantiszaryea proline definitely doesn’t make the best tires anymore… hyrax’ are the 2019 tire but all the good new tires are jconcepts
