I love the test ,but for more accurate results we need the same wheels and inserts for all tires so that the only variable changing is the tires.
Joe you should do another test with the best performing tires on this ramp….but soak the ramp in water 😈 I run in wet mossy woods or on wet river rock a lot, I’d love to know which tires do best when wet
Any predator compound tires I’ve found have done best.

The Ruptures were staying at the top with only 3 tires making contact......pretty amazing if you factor that in.
Your excitement is the best lol. Anyone else notice all the heavier ones did better... Next go around need same wheel and foams to see how they do with all things being equal.

Wondering if it's worth rendering a consistent surface onto these bricks so they don't get hung up on the cracks or even a light grind to smooth it off even instead ?
I’d like to find a way to radius and smooth those joints but nothing yet.

You need to try the rc4wd Irok swampers they have been good to me for years and they are so cheap

Anybody have the RC4WD Milestar Patagonia 1.9x4.75 ? Been wanting to give them a try. I've got the Baja Pro-X and the Tusk, both of which have been excellent for me on the trail. Only drawback of the Baja Pro-X is that they do hold some mud in the tread if it's very wet out. Ruptures may be my next tire if I don't get the Patagonias. Great video.
Really wish you would’ve done matching wheels and inserts for a true side by side comparison. Put a good weighted wheel with a quality tire insert that’s properly chosen for the vehicle you’re testing on and it’ll make any tire perform better! So all the lighter combos and standard foams had a disadvantage over those running a quality insert with a weighted wheel!

Agreed. Need to have all controllables equal. Same wheels, same foams, same age and amount of wear on each tire, same temp, set trim so it's exact, give them all a set amount of time to get as high as they can.

@@brianbouley2117 didn’t he used to do that in older comparisons? Forgot about that. Hella controlled environment. Which would then mean he can’t be playing around with steering to try to help them through. Maybe a 5 second rule where if it struggles on a spot for 5 seconds, one single attempt to help it along before the clock runs out!

And I was wrong about my guess of the gmades winning, but a strong respectable 3rd.
If the Gmade's foams had been just slightly softer, it might've stopped the hopping and I think they would've made it.

Great tire test for sure but we need to test with the same foams just as a control. Plus some of the tires you let spin more than others which creates heat which creates warmer (softer) tire. Great clips non the less

I wonder if the later tires have a slight advantage in that the earlier tires scrub and clean the surface a little.
And the Ruptures did better than I thought. I know the compound is good but the larger size will increase the CG and I thought that might be its downfall. Impressive.
I think using something with F.O.C would suit the test better, with a drive up ramp time enough to set throttle. A set time limit to compare in, Tire performance changes when they slip and heat up.
Would be cool to revisit this comparison during different seasons and temps/weather.

I don’t know. I’ve seen them go to the top before, but this ramp surface is easy one day and hard the next.
ive swap my trenchers for baja pro x,,,,,with blue center foam and hair bun...,,im shocked it tackles the trail i use to go with trenchers with much ease...sand,mud and rocks......did wonders....why isnt anybody say about this before....i guess most of them uses the stock foam which is obviously rock hard and hinders the true performance of the baja pro x......im still in shock LOL

HI I think the best way is to compare with the same rims
it looks like a direct correlation between the weight of the rim and the hight - but it will take a hole day
And during that time the weather and humidity would change, that would change the ramp conditions. I gotta do this quick so nothing changes.
@@ExocagedRC YES - not practical - unless you have few sets of rims with the same weight - even 3 sets
then you can do 3 tire sets each time - again a lot of work
regardless i ordered 1904 gmade - they look good on the ramp -
the KLR's will do better with more weight and a bit more wear - you need to run them like 10 times before they break in good

I got a set of Baja Pro's on a friend's recommendation and I'm very glad I did. I think I'll order a set of the 1904's too since I need a set for my second Ryft... one's gonna be a crawler, the other a bouncer. BTW next tire test -- when the car is sitting there not gonna move anymore, before you call it, use a laser temp gun to see what the tire temp is and compare it to the others.
Joe you should build a table top on that climb ramp so the rig doesn't fall over when you conquer it!

Uh bro unless you cut almost 40 seconds from the rupture portion of the video ur the rupture did the ramp way faster then the Baja pros

Not really a good real world comparison. Trenchers will destroy Land Mines in my area.

Have you ever tested racers tire dope like those trinity sells on crawler tires? Maybe take the low placing tires, treat them and see if it made a difference in their performance.

Nice work! This is a topic that is controversial and could use more tests and videos. There are misguided subs are saying "not fair" which is simply misguided. There is no such thing as a "perfect" comparison with no variables. On this day, under these conditions, with this equipment, this was the outcome. Pretty simple, Thanks for your work and contribution.

Proline g8 tires are the best for performance. Rc4wd tires are too soft of rubber in my opinion.

Not a fair comparison with diff rims and foams
No way was I going to swap foams or buy all new foams for this. I used what I had. Besides even stock foams that come with the tires are not the same.

그런데 한국에선 부두 krl타이어가 최고이자 전설인데 실제 테스트를 보면서 너무나도 과대평가 되었다는것을 느끼네요
부두 krl타이어를 구입하지않은것은 정말 잘한거같네요

Like the tire test but not my favorites on our rocks. ? But it’s great seeing these. The tires aren’t really tested by themselves without using very similar foams and wheel weight. Don’t see any pro-lines? So many variables with tires with the set up. To the extent of no spin would be a good test because that can slide you at angles. Like the video keep ‘em up!
