Started the last four days, showering was easier today and totally cold for longer, breathing is going well too, did the first three rounds completed. Feeling energised, I’m a 61 year old female, I have back and pelvic organ issues, I’m already walking better and feeling lighter. Thank you, this is very exciting. ❤️

There are several guided by Wim breathing sessions on UA-cam. I like the 4 rounds for beginners one cause it's easy. I keep forgetting to do this technique so I haven't developed the ability to hold my breath out for more than 2 minutes.
More of this please.. been suffering asthma and it really upset me..
So! Is it best to do the breathing exercise just before a cold shower in the AM?
I want to emphasise the danger of doing this in water, or under water. Wim doesn’t emphasize it enough. What he does with the deep breathing reduces carbon dioxide in the body. It is the build up of carbon dioxide which triggers the need to take a breath, so holding the breath is dangerous because at some point it will force the body to breath. How does the body do so ? It is counter intuitive - it makes you unconscious thus allowing the autonomic system to overcome your breath hold, and force you you to breath - that is to take in a breath. If this happens when you are under water, it is water you breath in, not air, so you drown ! This is known as “ shallow water blackout “. It can even happen in a swimming pool. For more just Google “ shallow water blackout “ or “ breathhold “ or “ spear fishing dangers “.
You don’t hold your breathe till you feel like you’re gonna pass out wim has said to do it to where you can feel most comfortable doing so. You’re not suppose to push your limits.
@@alexpaz9700You are doing this IN A CONTROLLED, SAFE ENVIRONMENT. Lying down or sitting. NOT while standing in a shower OR in a bath or otherwise embraced by water.
