What's your favourite FUJIFILM Recipe at the moment?
I tend to shoot in Classic Neg when doing landscape/wildlife and Pro Neg Standard/high depending on if I’m shootings indoor or outdoor with people in the photo.
Nice! Let me check it out @@danielschmaderer
@@TeppoHaapoja that’s just my preference and seems to go great with my style, but I’d say play around with all of the preset film sims to get as close to your style and do minor adjustments to make it your own from there. That’s what I do with the sims I mentioned prior. It didn’t take me long to figure out what I wanted to use and what minor adjustments I wanted to make.
Hello, are you and Matti related?
I shoot 100% black and white JPGs and then use the Raw file for color later if I want something saturated.
I was feeling exactly the same way with my V, but finally found a recipe that I am happy with called Reggie’s Portra. Like you, I wanted SOOC to document and share.
Also, thanks for sharing your recipe. I’ll give it a try.
That is a great creative friend to have by your side. Thanks for the story.
Great pictures nevertheless! I think its quite fun how the figuring out process feels different with the Fujis compared to other systems. it definitely took me some time to get usable JPEGS straight out of camera, but Fuji x Weekly's write ups about his top 10 recipes helped me a lot grasping the different use scenarios for each. Kodachrome 64 is definitely my favorite every day recipe, it's a must try. I love adding a Tiffen Glimmerglass filter to it, it produces amazing images and is a nice mix up from the classic pro mist everyone uses. Flash Photography with custom flash settings and playing with the nd can produce really cool disposable camera look pictures. Also with the fuji raw studio on your Mac you can change the recipe of all your previous JPEGS when connecting the camera, worth looking up to try out new recipes on old shots.
I was in the same situation. I just kept tinkering with it until i got the results i wanted. Just keep at it bud its a great camera.
Agreed!
I am in the exact same position right now, I don't know which recipe I want to shoot with. I'm looking for a versatile recipe to get nice JPG's, I don't want to do many post-process stuff. The camera I use is the X-T30 II.
I really loved this recipe on my X100v. I am wondering if you've updated it for the new X100vi (or other XTrans V sensor Fuji cameras)? It just doesn't pop as much on the X100vi as it did on the X100v.
Raw photos are never fun which is why i rarely shoot it. Far more enjoyable to get it right in the camera.
2:24 the colors bro are so good! 🔥
Gonna try it, tons of settings for sure, but difficult spending the time or patience for it.
About using RAW and editing the photos I think the same. I have an X-T30 II and if it were for me to shoot RAW and edit the photos I rather use another brand. I bought the Fujifilm for the jpegs. I use RAW + jpeg just to try another film simulation after in RAW Studio.
What camerastrap is that? Can u tell me the brand and the modell? =) Thanks
Hey Teppo! Thank you for always making amazing content! You inspire daily!!
How do you still feel about the x100V?
Also I have been wanting to upgrade my camera for a while. I have been shooting with the EOS R since it came out, and I’m not sure if I should upgrade to the R5 or the Sony A7C2
Both look promising, I feel like R5 is the obvious answer, but I really enjoy the look and the quality that the A7C2 puts out.
I think -2 on shadows brightens them up, not darkens them. Basically the camera is asking “you want more or less shadows?”.
You might be correct :D
Which brand is the camera strap? 😮
Spent the entire weekend using the Kodak Gold 200 recipe. Really liked it.
Nice gotta check it out!
Nice video and nice story. I miss my x100v but it was a lemon and having bought it from a big online seller Fujifilm would not repair it! I got a 100% refund, but I would prefer to have it repaired :(
Nice lipstick 0:58 :D
you should try the bright summer recipe and kodak portra 400 v2
Ill check it out!
Recipe?
I bought one just as they hype started with these. It’s certainly a great camera. Absolutely not worth paying over retail for it. Coming from modern cameras the auto focus really bothered me. So it just sat for months. Sold it.
Do you remember when Samuel Streetlife used to say "Must be nice" in reference to leica owners? How long until people without an x100v start saying the same thing? 😂😅
The problem with the x100v is I couldn't even find it anywhere. Had to settle with xt30ii and 23 f2.
Most underrated UA-camr I have ever seen
Ha why thank you!
😍 cool fujifilm recipes! I wonder what sony recipes! 😅😊 how was Icelandic guy though?
That Icelandic Guy aka Arnulfur is the best!

who is waiting on the x100 mark 6 ?
Me! Pre-ordered here in Melbourne 🇦🇺
I have a Fuji X-Pro 3 and I find myself using my iPhone 14 Pro Max all the time instead. I shoot in RAW on it and can get 64 meg images. The iPhone glass sucks obviously since it is plastic and flat and software mapping everything but I am hard-pressed to justify owning my Fuji. As for the "look and feel", you can edit in the phone...erm..camera...erm..phone. And all the other post tools out there. What a dilemma!
It would be nice if you could just pick it up and start shooting by we all have our own unique styles
Teppo I think that Reggie Ballesteros x100v film recipe might be something that you are looking for. He calls it a Reggie's Portra. I'll link the video...
ua-cam.com/video/t15X8HGt1ms/v-deo.html
Id love to test it out 💪
Oh com on! All the cameras has the same settings to adjust your exposure, colors and temperature. Just waist a day or two and go out, try different settings. For cold or warm color - edit your white balance - it's photography basics!
FYI
Darker shadows is +2 on a tone curve not -2
Tone curve on Fujifilm cameras works the same as it works in Lightroom
Never clicked off a video so fast
Are you and your brother twins?
Nope, Im 4 years younger
but this was your fault for not preparing your camera for the trip .... lesson to everyone - is you need to have your gear dialed in before you can expect epic results
