Robin, thank you for this. I know it's an old video but you're still getting comments and I can see why. These spinach balls look awesome for the holiday season. Greetings from nearby Michigan. Here in the Detroit area we too cherish our local 'mom and pop' places, much like Grumpy's in Cleveland. Our Midwest culture is strong, our history is rich, and our food is really, really good! BTW, the spinach in the teeth thing...LOL! God bless you and your family. -Tom
Hey, Tom! Yea, this is a recipe I use often (my grown daughters make it all the time, too). I love being from the midwest and it was a great place to raise the girls. And, Kathy Owad and her daughter Dani (Grumpy's owners), are great friends!
Can you put them on top of aluminum foil for cooking?
@50Violetta You're welcome! Enjoy!
@ChaChaDave Thanks! I could eat a ...well, you know.
Can I use any other cheese but not parmesan?
Can I freeze it first then cook the following day? Thanks Robin. I’m having a bridal shower.. They’ll love this and it’s very healthy!
Sure! I've frozen them both cooked and uncooked.
Will it be possible to prepare them earlier , frozen and then just put them for some time to the oven ?
Yes, I do that all the time!
@TheVittleVlog Mucho thanks!
I don't see why not!
Hahahahaha! Yummy!
Thanks a million..
@elaine212kitten That would work!
Hey, it happens..
Just seeing this video for the first time....when I was a kid did I think I'd grow up to like spinach? Get this....I liked it when I was a kid, to start with!!! I was raised eating spinach, brussels sprouts, cabbage, cauliflower, broccoli, turnips.....if it grew in the ground, we ate it!!! EXCEPT, I never had turnip, collard or mustard greens until I was grown.
Oh yeah, I also grew up liking braunschwieger and have always liked liver!!!
The only other person I know who likes spinach as a kid is my 5-year old granddaughter. And...I grew up on liver wurst and still love it!
Hi. Can I use fresh spinach instead of frozen? I would chop it finely. Soak it in water then squeeze it dry.
Yes (although the frozen is much easier)..
DUH?????
U made me laugh that was so funny ,but u didn't ate all those spinach balls did u ,they really look delicious, ur awesome
Haha, thanks. They are fabulous - both my daughters ask for them when they come home for a visit!
can u also do them with meat ?
2:05 can we flip that? I'd rather grab one good friend and a few bottles of wine. 👍👍
I don't see why not. Just use very lean meat so they don't turn out greasy.
Good basic recipe, but skip the walnuts. If you want a little crunch, use sliced/diced water chestnuts.
Yes, but make it somewhat firm..
lol that was so funny. grabbing at the spinach in your teeth. lol
Sorry, but I just can't do a cut and dry show! If you just want recipes, my website has a Click 'n Print feature with hundreds of my recipes, all catagorized.
Lol
i put chopped bacon in mine..
That'll work!
Haha
Heh heh.
Why the heck was this recommended to me off of a rice gum video
Sorry no offense but wtf
To much personal mumbo jumbo, I want just the recipe, but thank you
@ChaChaDave Thanks! I could eat a ...well, you know.
